Tonight's was probably one of the best Richard quotes yet, and it was only one word. What did it for me was the adorably guilty look on his face, like when a kid who's supposed to be doing his homework gets busted by his dad. "Richard, are you working on your math?" "....Yes". You can almost hear Richard's mind racing as he tries to think of an answer.

I must say though, I loved Benny's line too. "Eat him, Krunch." Hehe...Wait. Does this mean Krunch eats people?

Well I love humour and story mixed like this, but Minotaurs are known to eat people so I guess his race does the same, he is rather bulky to be just eating grains and grasses.

what exactly is Richard going to use a bucket of blood for? is that how he bathes himself?

He's a warlock; maybe he'll use it to feed a familiar when he gets a new one, or create some abomination using it, or something else. For all we know, he just doesn't like to let blood go to waste if nobody's chasing him away from it or glaring at him while he gathers it...

Ah, that was one of the best Richard moments in my book.

I think the humor is in the fact that we can only guess what Richard is really using the blood for. Our imaginations are a lot worst than anything Sohmer could write.

That pyramid had something to do with the original use of the blood.
Perhaps a delicate blood fountain feature

Or a good way to drain the elves of their blood after they have died.

Kinda like those pyramids of champagne glasses you see at big fancy get togethers? Am I the only one that wants to violently shake the table the glasses are on and walk away all stelth-y like?

Ahem... I have to agree with Lunaya about Richard's expression at the end. It was absolutely wonderful. He looks around so awkwardly... it almost made him chibi. But bad-ass chibi, not huggable and adorable, but cool and only slightly approachable.

Nah, he takes their blood just because he thinks it's fun. Simple as that.

It's Richard, he don't need a reason to gather blood. Maybe, he'll drink it, maybe the rest of the party refused his attempt to litter their way with bodies and now he uses blood, maybe he gathers fingerpaints for the next time he's bored, who cares?

It's just plain richard ^^

Although I would really argue the point that adding the word 'buttsecs' at the final frame of the comic is more inappropriate than the rest of the comic itself.

All I know is that I am so incredibly happy that the whole are-the-new-swords-really-the-swords-of-truth debate is over.

Now, for the next inane discussion: is the little village up the coast of which Richard is the mayor really Kethenecia?

...Would that mean Cale has to kill Richard to avenge Gamlon?

...maybe, which would really force the real question: in a fight between Richard and Cale, who would Sooba side with?

Hehehe thank you. After I made it I thought "Shoot, I should have included a picture of the bucket in there somewhere." but it was already 38 and LJ won't let you have anything over 40. I cut out a lot of the text, so it made it go a lot faster, and cut down on the quality of the image itself, and still only got it down to 38. I'm afraid if I added another frame that it would kill it being able to be used on much of any site. But I still like it. And it's one of the closest things to seeing Richard actually being animated. So far, anyway...

I can't help but find this to be out of character for Benny to say. Sure she is evil and she will kill you if you say the wrong thing to her, but I do not see her as being the type to order the death of someone offhand because they say something inconclusive (if that were the case, then Richard would be dead a long time ago). The only way I can see this as something she would say is if it were in jest; but the expression on her face dose not leave me with that impression.

I doubt she could do that because how would she be able to distinguish what pieces of crap are Cale's? It would have mixed in with whatever else Krunch ate and part of him would not be excreted or eaten at all. The result would probably some partly-digested monstrosity or a creature which would die shortly after coming to life.

And would Benny really want anything to do with Krunch's ****?

I think she was just being sarcastic

She looked rather serious though. If she was rolling her eyes I think then it might have been sarcasm.

She was just being sarcastic... and those of us who know how to be sarcastic also know that the best way to do it is deadpan... which is exactly how Benny looks.

She has already shown herself to have a bit of a twisted sense of humour (like mentioning that seeing an innocent gnome's head being blown up was funny), so I think she was just being sarcastic in this case.

Also, there is no proof she is evil... she is just a survivalist. She does what needs to be done to get by... that doesn't make her evil, it just makes her normal.

Putting one's need to survive over morals is evil; but otherwise I agree with Bone's post. Benny, like Richard, dose have a sick sense of humor and she could have been sarcastic, but the way she puts it as a command combined with her expression just dose not come out that way.
