Well that answered a lot of questions, then raised some, and we even got a elven corpse pyramid. Page 43 is one of the best yet.

OMG /cast "Speculation"
Anyone notice Cale had the girl tighten his hand around the sword and at the end it was almost glowing somewhat? Considering their in some sort of castle or w/e it seems a little odd...
could it be...
THE ANGRY SWORD?!
Since it made him kill everyone brutally?

May 14 2007, 04:32 AM
It could be, but you'll notice that there's always a glow around Leena. I figure it's because she's a ghost. The first time I looked at panel 4, I thought Leena was somehow mystically giving Cale knowledge about Kethenacia. But I think that's just ghost glow, too. The sword in the last panel could be glowing, but they may just be outside.
It looks like my theory was wrong. Those bandits weren't Gamlonians. Gamlonites. Gamlench. Elves of Gamlon.

hehehe i like how richard was using vulii hands to gesture in the first panel. hahaha thats priceless. and the pyramid.. rofl.. this just rocks. *dances round the pyramid throwing chunks of flesh upon it.*

Everything that comes from Richards mouth is quotably awsome

And is he building a body pyramd in the last panel?
And Cale is soo sweet.
Pity the others do not really care...
Wonder if one of the 'swords of anger' is one of the ones Cale got from Tavor..
Tho I suspect it would glow more

I was thinking that too. When he came back to the present he had Tavor's swords.
Something going on there

Hey! Did anyone notice how, when Leena was talking to Cale, she used the term "our people"? Was she talking about the elven in general, or was she confirming that Cale is a descendant of Gamlon?

He may not be of Gamlon through blood, but he is through their ideals.

A cultural Gamlonian...ite?
And I have to aagree with everyone that that was the coolest pyramid anywhere. it maes you wonder if Richard was a cheerleading coach. I think he would admit to it out of sheer irony.

If Richard was a cheerleading coach in life, I think it would solve the mystery of how he died. If I was forced to spend time with a large group of scrawny, overly perky blondes, I would probably have to kill myself too...after killing all of them...and stacking them into a pyramid.
Hehe, just kidding...mostly.

A small fraction, I'm sure. But I actually read an article about the international interests in cheerleading. China's coming up with some crazy acrobatics. Part of me wants to admit that it could be considered a sport...
But then I realize that Richard made a mockery of it, so it's just a bunch of skanks again. Whew.

I had to create an account just for this =D
Loved the hands at the start, and the pyramid. . .priceless.
Answered some questions too and helped progress.
However, at what you said, considering richard to be male as his name suggests then spending his living days staring up the skirt of hot blondes doesnt sound like too bad of a job, I doubt he would kill them over that. . .however the ridicule that ensues would be a reason =P
And no, im not a cheerleader I just think in a weird way.

Well at least I was right about Shriek/Leena. Good comic, kinda funny that richard is pilling them up to look like a gymnastic pryramid, such a hysterical yet gruesome hobbie.

But do you really think Sohmer and Lar would make it that easy in the story to just hand him the sword like that? And wouldn't Benny, Richard, or Krunch realize that it would be the Sword of Anger? (just my thought btw >.>)

Oh I'm sure Richard would enjoy the part where he gets to work with hot chicks. I just doubt that he would be able to put up with the constantly ditzy, overly cheerful chatter of teenage girls for too long without snapping.

Well my take on this is that Leena told Cale to do as her father commanded, which I believe she is refering to the comment he made to Tavor...

If you look at the end of Cael's sword in the last panel, you'll see some small white glowing orbs, so either that sword is now the Really Angry Sword, or it will be used to find the Really Angry Sword.
DAMN I'm good at finding small details.

holy crap you are right! you're probably right too. be like in the mummy returns when Alex uses that scorpion bracelet to find the lost oasis except this time it's a enchanted sword to find a lost kingdom XD.
also why are people more focused on cheerleaders then the actual plot of the comic? it seems like a rather silly discussion. sure the pyramid is funny, but not something to devote most of this topic to.

The swords look rather similar to his own, so they probably wouldn't pick up on the fact that they aren't his own (that is, IF he took Tavor's swords, which we can assume he did, knowing Cale's sense of honor and all...). Also, the Vulii came back shortly after Cale did, which means they really haven't had time to check out the swords either.
Anyway, my guess would be that one or both of these swords is in fact the Sword of Truth. We just won't know about it until much further along. I think it would make sense in a way, that they actually got what they were searching for long before they ever figured it out.

May 15 2007, 02:55 PM
Wouldn't finding the Sword of Anger this early just ruin the story? I mean really even if it needed something to activate it was stated specificly that the Sword of Anger is in Kenthica (sp?) so by getting the sword of anger now would runi everything. They are simply two swords that belonged to a honorable friend who died serving his kingdom whose mission now falls upon Cale to complete.
Beet
May 15 2007, 04:27 PM
The story may go on longer if the sword makes Cale angry enough to attack and/or run away to do his own thing like collect a reward for himself/slay all the Vulii, leaving everyone else to try and stop him and get him and the sword back (although I expect one of them won't mind him in his state

)

I have never seen a sword to shine outside the sword itself, no matter how shiny it is.
