So hey..... what's the thing you do that is unique to you? Rock collection? Weird tabletop gaming tournaments?(I'm not a true nerd yet- I still think those are "weird") SCA/renn faires? Getting your vehicle "pimped out"? Whatever it is, take a pictuer of it, and tell us a little about it and how you got sucked into it...
(yeah, I got bored at work, so what!)
I'll go first:
My little hobby that I do just for me is Henna. For me, when I fist started, it was just a way to test tattoo designs that I was interested in without actually getting them done permanently. I've continued doing it since then simply because it is a way for me to relax and to pamper myself. I'm not actually good enough to look at a picture and work freehand off of that, but I can make contacts of pictures and then use those as outlines.
I took out my picture cause ya'll suck and didn't put up any pictures.

I collect books. Really, I have a couple hundred and I have read them all. All genres (I have Steven King, Michael Crichton, Stephen Ambrose and Robert Jordan in front of me) and all qualities of writing. What can I say, I am a bibliophile (because someone will ask what that is it means I love books)

painballing is a blast. I love it, and would do it more, but there's no field out here and I'm not allowed to own *any* type of gun out here. it's a conspiracy to keep me from having fun, I swear!

Theres not a good field near here either i drive like 2 hours like 3 times a year to play big games. Im kinda like Blue i tend to do odd things frequently just paintballs the only one that involves an semi automatic marker.

I crochet... poorly. I'd take a piccie of my excessively long scarf as soon as it looks remotely thick enough tos how up on camera.
I think I might dye it, but white with silver sparkle appeals to me right now.

It is not really a hobby but I have a problem saying no. Pretty much if any one ask me to do something, rain, hail or shine I'm always up for it.
The hobby I wish I did have would be making money while sleeping.

Hrm...I do Origami. So far I've made a bundle of Kusudama for no reason, a collection of noble beasts...etc. I also train in Karate a few times in the day, although I'm already far in the rusty area. Nothing really interesting beyond that point. Took up T'ai Qi too, but don't really use it much, since I'm miserable at using Qi.

I hike and camp. Do the whole 5 days out in the wild with 40 pounds of equipment and your wits kind of stuff. Also, I like going on Biking/camping trips. It's fun and allows me to just get away from it all for a while.

Double post reported? Just kidding, anyways one of my older hobbies is me and a friend used to have sword fights with broken shovels in the middle of the street, it was bad.

Just remember children, when your fighting with swords, its all fun in games until someone loses an eye!
Then its a medical emergency and you better run cause the cops are coming.
Is WoW a hobby, or an affliction?

Amtgard. So, it's basically like what some other people in here have stated they do, except professionally organized, with camping events and battlegames, etc. Also, no broken bones, or lost eyes, which is nice.
Also, does it seem like most of my posts are links to anyone else?

Yeah, SCA is something that I used to do, but my frame and stature kept me from the heavy battlegrounds and that pretty much slaughtered my interest in the program. I still do duke it out with family and friends with our boffers on holidays and whatnot, but it doesn't have the same feel as SCA events. Our boffers of choice: pvc pipe, pool noodles, and then duct tape around the noodle. In theory, the duct tape keeps the noodle from falling apart and somebody getting whacked with just the pipe. We also got umm... kindof camping-sleeping mats, and sliced those up into various shapes, stacked them, and attached them to the previously described boffers- creating "maces", "axes" and other weapons. All great fun

Next time I'm going will look something like this.

That was actually a few years ago but Istill have all the satchels and bags and stuff. This time I'll try biking Montréal to Québec city and back camping every night along the way.
It should be fun

See, what I do is like the SCA, but with fewer broken bones and such. I did it for about 10 hours over 2 days this last weekend, and had a couple of bruises. Maybe.
That doesn't mean people cannot knock the wind out of you, or, you know, hit you in very, very painful areas. It's just less likely.
Plus we *cough* have classes in the battlegames. It's mostly a seniority thing, that way if you've been there for 6 years and some guy comes along for 3-4 months but happens to be really good and can beat you, well, when you battlegame rolls around you've still got an edge.
I've done this for maybe 2 and 1/2 years, so by now I'm a maxed out Bard, and have some levels in a few other things. I feel kind of weird being in a caster class, because hitting people with foam bats is all fun and well, but pointing at them and yelling things crosses into the realm of being just a bit strange. BUT, the fact that I can point at someone, yell a few things, and then tell them to go fetch me a glass of water (and they have to do it) kind of makes up for it. I also enjoy using the ability called "Legend", which basically means I can take anywhere from 2-6 people off of the other team for as long as I care to, and make them listen to me play my guitar off on the sidelines. And, the best thing about it is being able to buff other people. I'm a pretty big team player, so I like making it so that the people on my side of things can kick more ass.

My hobby is fencing while listening to classical music (Just seems right) and writing while under the influence of Rammstein and Red Bull. Those are some damn fine stories. Ooh, can't forget sleep-deprived html coding. most my images didn't load the first time.

I think I may be the oddest person here...
I like to pick dandruff out of my and other people's heads. If I don't have dandruff (which is quite often) i'll scratch my head to make some. It keeps my amused until my head hurts from scratching, or my arms hurt from holding them up for hours.
oh, and I play WoW while listening to classical music and searching for Disney song lyrics, while debating how my char is going to act in DnD the next time I play. I also flirt sporadically with good looking people in my guild.
I'm cool like that.

I sing. A lot. In choir and solo as well. And it's classical. So much that I hope to raise it from hobby to way of living some day. And I
hear classical music, not only recorded, but life as well. In fact I visit the Opera house often, have even considered living there

Nah, joking... I hope..

I've done the whole sword fighting thing.. we had two teams.. zombies and humans.. rules were established etc.. it was one of the most painful things i've ever done in my life..
as for my "relaxing hobby" i like to build houses out of cards.. or things that remind me of high rise train tracks. *shrug* i have tons and tons and tons of decks of cards.. the only ones i collect though (cards that is) are ones with Norma Jean.. aka. Monroe.

My hobby is watching fencing practice and tournaments and kibitzing on people's styles. I don't have the skill to do it myself, but it's an interesting sport to watch once you figure out what's going on. Honestly, the first time I watched fencing I thought they were just randomly poking at each other until someone called a shot. Now I know better.
