Who else enjoys the splendor that is the strategy game? What games do you play?
As you can guess by my sig, I play anything by Aspyr and Ensemble, namely Age of Empires and Civilization, in my opinion the two greatest franchises to ever exist.

I've played a few. Don't really enjoy them to much. The only ones that I have really got into have been the age of empire games. It would make my top 5 in best franchises ever.

I absolutely ADORE strategy games. Big into the Total War series. Used to be big into Age of Empires. Always been a fan of Warcraft and Starcraft.
Also, I play Warhammer for a table top game. That's exciting!

I tried Civilization a long time ago. Around the same time that 1602 AD came out. Anyone remember that? No. It was cool. Anyway, I hated Civilization. I never got back into it. I've heard good things though.

Would Zoo Tycoon be a strategy game? Its really hard to build up your forces, then have them slaughter the guests before the Feds shut you down.

All tycoon games are, not all are good like the knock off mall, prison, or evil genius ones that are out there.

The best Sim game was definetly sim city. Build your city, then unleash the giant robot spider! Though I guess it was not a strategy game, even if it was like Civilization.

got WAY into the whole warcraft series, but not so much starcraft.DoW is always a big favourite, not to mention the classic Ol'Skool KKND ^.^
been a long time since I played AoE/AoW or Civ....might be almost time I bust them out, just to shake things up a bit...RTS is in the top2 of my favourite genres, beside RPG
and I also get into a bit of WH/WH40K when my busy schedule permits
