I hate myself already for saying this, but Richard has always reminded me a little bit of Preed from Titan A.E. Sure, Richard is way, way cooler than Preed, but the posture, the dry sense of humor, the cheerfully sadistic attitude, I can't help but find them similar. I'd love to see the two of them chilling out in a park, torching small animals and having a great old time.

I always thought Richard reminded me of an evil version of Brian off of Family Guy. Just calm and alot of humor at others expense.

I hope this doesn't sound offensive, but that sounded a little concieted. I don't know if it's because Richard is omniscient and it sounds like you think you are too, but...
On another note, I have to agree that he resembles that character from Titan A.E.... disturbingly so. Cale can be Jim, Krunch as the leader of the pirates, and Benny as the Cat.
Lunaya
May 10 2007, 04:11 AM
...Pirates? Oh! I think you're thinking of Treasure Planet. Titan A.E. was a Don Bluth film and definitely
not a kid's movie.

Thanks for backing me up though.

Ah, crap... I always mess them up. It also probably doesn't help that I was listening to "I'm Still Here" from the Goo Goo Dolls. Always makes me think about Treasure Planet.

Good choice, Richard possibly is the most lovable person in lfgcomic so far, apart fromt hat creepy little girl.

But seriously, its uncanny how Richard fits the disposition of that Titan AE guy. Not to mention many warlocks on World of Warcraft.

Fizban. Richard reminds me of Fizban. I could see Richard as a god... very powerful, yet chooses not to act on all that power because it amuses him greatly just to participate in life with mortals....

RICHARD IS MY HERO!!!!! He reminds me of no one in particular, but that doesn't make me like him less.
O wait, maybe he does remind me of myself. I have about as much muscle as he does.

Richard reminds me of Richard. ... I'm not even joking. MY Richard is a real life Richard whom acts pretty much the same way as the LFG Richard. Evil nature, sarcastic attitude, etc. A rather close resemblance, really. And even more uncanny that their names are the same. I love both of the Richards all the same, however.

I think most people who like Richard are like themselves, because i just noticed that we all have some sense of evil inside us. i, for example, love blood, gore, death, and anything to do with violence. i don't know about you guys, but Richard reminds me of myself a lot of times

I agree, I have been having evil tendencies as of late and Richard reminds me greatly of myself. He also does remind me greatly of 8-bit Theater's Black Mage. Only a lot more evil. Like Richard does what Black Mage would really really like to do a lot of times but can't. He also reminds me of a lot of Washuu from Tenchi Muyo for some unknown reason.

Richard is the best he always has some funny remark that is chaotic. The fact that he likes killing gnomes cause they resemble children is too good. Richard reminds me a lot of my friend that got me into WoW.

Eh My friends tell me That Richard reminds them of me.. Due to the facts we are Both Sociopaths with rather morbid senses of humor. And never afraid to make a spork joke... We also both look stunningly devistating in a black suit.. Or in his case a robe.

Richard reminds me of ALL the mage characters i have ever made, its like Sohmer got hold of my character designs. I would say he reminds me of me, but thats arrogant and concieted, he reminds me of the evil that festers inside of me, its evil, yet funny at the same time.
Though my evil is twitchy, so there is a difference.

My, don't a lot of people have inordinately high opinions of themselves.
I'd be surprised if more than two of you are anything more than vaguely resembling Richard. Maybe he represents what you want to be.
That said, Richard reminds me of me.
I jest, I'm not very like Richard at all. Far too angst-ridden and flippant.
I tend to view them all as their own characters now. Beyond some broad archetypes, enough has been hinted at that I consider each character unique in their own right.

Richard reminds me of a kid from my school. Admittedly, the kid isn't homicidal like good ol' Dick, but they have the same (sometimes terrifying) sense of humor.

May 28 2007, 08:04 AM
Hmm...He reminds me of Fuzzy. From Sam and Fuzzy.
Except Fuzzy is slightly smaller...and not magical. Though he is homicidal, unheeding of others and generally wacky.
eg. Fuzzy Quotes
"Miss, allow me to clarify some things for you. TIRED babies SLEEP. TIRED babies have NO ENERGY. TIRED babies SHUT UP. This baby is not tired. He is, however, a whiny little monkey that you need to get to STICK A SOCK IN IT. . . Here, maybe you can muffle him with this PAPER BAG!"
"I'm an atheist...All hail the dark lord Atheia, my king and master!"
SAM - "Ow ow ow! I somehow stapled my driver's license to my hand!"
FUZZ- "Here, I'll slice it off with this old, blunted axe!"
"Ten bucks says I can take out the head protester with this big rock I found!"
"I'm not mellowing, I'm just getting better at hiding the bodies"

you called Richard DICK?????? oh, you shall pay dearly.......
anyway, there are actually lots of people that remind me of Richard... but one that strangly comes into mind is Michael Jackson. just because he is morbid, very pale, looks kinda undeady, and always dresses in black.
heh, you'd probably all kill me for saying that... but it's true, guys! lol, i'd be suprised if one of you agreed with me

They both cause psychological problems though.
