So I get back from hanging out with some friends (remind me to tell you THAT story, later), and my fridge is making a god awful screeching.

Me being the tech savvy chap I am, I break out my screwdriver and open the damn thing up. Pull off the inner rear panel and take a look. Sure enough, the evaporator coil is all kinds of screwed. I fiddle with it, for a while, and eventually get the thing to shut the hell up. I put everything back together, and go to sit down for a quick turn at FF12.

Couple minutes later, it starts back up with the screeching. So now I'm pissed. I walk over to the kitchen again, open up the freezer door, and let fly with a hard right jab, right to the middle of the rear panel.

It goes quiet, and is now running more silently than ever before. And yes, it is running.
