My favorite instrument is the guitar. Its such a sensible instrument, not like my brother's Double Bass. (he thought he'd signed up to learn bass guitar!)

Recorder FTW
but seriously if I had a lick of musical talent I would learn to play bass or harmonica... or both since you only need your hands if you play the blues with a harmonica otherwise the neck thing is good enough if your hands are otherwise occupied holding a guitar or ice cream cones, hell I don't know what people do with their hands when they can play the harmonica hands free.

Guitar. I actually used to play it. Gotta love all those tapping-sweep picking-string skipping knick knacks

I love the sound and feel of a well played Bass guitar. It just reaches deep into you and can bring a lot of depth into any type of music.

Where be the fecking bass guitar? That's what I play, but was forced to vote for the guitar, though I had no choice! Doh, the tragedy!

Add one vote for the straight wood flute. Been around for over 6,000 years and a more beautiful sounding instrument man has never made.

I believe bass guitar falls under the "other strings" category.

jac doesn't. It's still technically a guitar.

Basses are amazing, and so much fun to play, especially a decent reggae or Red Hot Chili Peppers style song.

Sexy-phone, yo. I used to play the viola and cello as well, back in elementary school. I'd like to try them out again.

Yeah, sorry about that, folks! Didn't think of that one!
