Full Version: Best Comic ever

Caio Elfo
I decide to make this topic for everyone say whats your favorite comic. It can be a comic book (Spider-Man, Spawn, Batman), a series (such as Infinite Crises), a novel (V for Vendetta, for example), manga (Evangelion, Love Hina, Naruto) or a webcomic (like LFG!). My favorite is "Watchmen", from Alan Moore and the manga "Rurouni Kenshin" (where I lived is called "Samurai X")
Jimmy
As treasonous as it may be to choose something other than LFG, I think I'm gonna have to stick with Calvin and Hobbes, by Bill Watterson. It always picks up my mood to sit and read a few of those. smile.gif
Andrea C.
Definitely Rat-Man, an italian humorous comic by Leonardo Ortolani. It hasn't been translated into other languages (except for three issues that were translated in spanish) so it's pretty much unknown outside my country, but here in Italy it benefits from an ever growing popularity due to the degree of geniality and wit that characterizes its every gag.
Caio Elfo
I wish I could read "Truth, Justin and the American Way"
The Lone David
Favorite comic book- The Silver Surfer
Favorite Manga- Hellsing
Favorite graphic novel- V for Vendetta

Best Comic Book Ever - Origin (The story of how Wolverine came to be) (With The Long Halloween in a close second)
Best Manga Ever- There isnt one. Stop looking. (Dont hurt me)
Best Graphic Novel- This one that had batman in it. It was the story of his origin. I think it was called "Batmans Secret Origin" or something.

My Good Rabbit
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, by Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill.

Postmodernist Victorian lit with great art, tons of in-jokes for the history geeks and a horror/sci-fi bent? I'm IN. <3
Hunter
lol the Marvel Douche, best diss ever.
Aquacoma
Favorite comic book- Preacher (now only found in Graphic novel form)
Favorite Manga- Berserk
Favorite graphic novel- Sin City
Favorite webcomic- Least I Could Do

I disliked Wolverine Origins.... A lot. I hate how Marvel retcons everything that is cool about their characters and makes it.... Well not as cool

That comic... my boyfriend is an avid reader, and I've given it a try, but I just can't find it funny. He'll show me strips that have him busting a gut laughing, and I can't even find the punchline. It isn't that I'm offended by it? I just don't understand it! Could fans maybe enlighten me? (Yes, that's your invitation to geek out.)
Mr Teatime
Favorite comics include Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, Squee, Calvin and Hobbes (yes, I'm aware of the huge gap in style there) and soon to be LFG, once I get my printed copy in the mail!

Favorite webcomic is probably LFG in overall quality. My old favorite was definetly Flintlocke's Guide to Azeroth. Honorable mentions: Bob and George, Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal, Gone with the Blastwave, The Half Life and Death of Gordon Frohman.

I don't believe I've ever read a graphic novel (unless Terry Pratchett's "Where's My Cow?" counts), and I don't picture myself reading a manga at any point into the future.
Triforceelf
I just realized I have a new favorite graphic novel!

The Halo Graphic Novel!
GOOOOO CONVENTATE (you pathetic humans and you demon will fall!)
