Pirates or Ninjas?

Pirates or Ninjas?
One must understand that both Pirates and Ninjas are a counter balance for one another. Think of it as Yin and Yang, it is the balance of nature. Both are obviously divine beings to be held in reverence and awe. They serve their own purpose and are ever present to keep the scales of balance from being over tipped by the other.
In essence, it is not a choice of Pirates or Ninjas. For whether one chooses either, they are merely upholding the balance.
n the metaphysical or conceptual sense, balance is used to mean a point between two opposite forces that is desirable over purely one state or the other, such as a balance between the metaphysical Law and Chaos — law by itself being overly controlling, chaos being overly unmanageable, balance being the point that minimizes the negatives of both.
More recently, the term "balance" has come to refer to a balance of power between multiple opposing forces. Lack of balance (of power) is generally considered to cause aggression by stronger forces towards weaker forces less capable of defending themselves. In the real world, unbalanced stronger forces tend to portray themselves as balanced, and use media controls to downplay this, as well as prevent weaker forces from coming together to achieve a new balance of power. In constructed worlds, such as in video gaming, where nearly all-powerful corporate interests strive to maintain a balance of power among players, players tend to be extremely vocal about what they see as unbalanced mechanics, providing the unbalance negatively affects them. And though the strong and unbalanced, or "overpowered" players commonly are vigorous in denial of any lack of balance, the comparitive media equality among all player brings change quickly, to further a sense of balance.
I hope this clears things up...
I wonder why Cowboys, Monkeys and Robots are not an option to this either.

Pirates. There just aren't enough of them around any more.

Real Pirates with parrots and peg legs, not all these software pirates, they are easy pickings for ninjas.
Jimmy
Apr 16 2007, 08:32 PM
Obviously real pirates. Software "pirates" were called that by some weanie at the MPAA, which is hardly a credible judge of who is and is not, a pirate. Remember, the loss of pirates is responsible for global warming, so they're obviously more important than ninjas.

I did mention divine beings in my post. Who would possibly put a net pirate versus a ninja? Or do they mean account ninja's, like those folks who promise gold and levels and steal your wow account?

Wouldn't that technically mean there would be no battle as they are one in the same? Then again, the same could be said about the true divine beings. Good or Evil. Pirate or Ninja, they are just one piece of the whole... Hmm. This conversation is too deep for my tastes.
Hunter
Apr 16 2007, 08:52 PM
Nope because they are completely different from actual Pirates and Ninjas.
Mixairian

Yes but I stand by my theorum of the true divine beings are agents of balance. Thus one and the same.

Gotta love the extreme of male chauvinism (feminism). Human culture in general is ****ed by people, not just man or woman.
As for Musashi. Yeah he wrote the Book of Five Rings (Go rin no sho) and the Dokkodo. He's referenced a lot in pop culture video games, anime and movies. His works are also used in the business world. It's all in my crappy paper.

The internet. All of the piracy, none of the scurvy.
In all seriousness though, I must confess that I myself prefer ninjas. Disregard the picture of me dressed as a good-ol' fashioned swashbuckling buccaneer in the picture thread, for it is merely a disguise. I felt that to become a true ninja I must perfect the art of concealing my true intent and purpose, and what better practice could I have than infiltrating the ranks of my sworn enemies?
Unfortunately, I still have yet to master the art of hurling
frozen,
sharp,
and deadly shamrocks.

Yet again I claim neutrality because eventually the Ninjas and Pirates will make a treaty then merge into one group of Ninja-Pirates with the awesome powers of citrus and coconut bras for the ladies.

Ninjas win because they have batman on their side. All pirates have is Captain Jack, and he is a drunk moron.
Oh, and Dr McNinja is on the ninjas side as well. No balance, just ninjas. (And not ones in orange jump suits. Those are fake ninjas)
Hunter

Batman is the ninja side, he is too cool to ever be just part of the group.

I enjoy being obnoxious to feminism. The trick is not make it about sex but personal responsibility and ethics. If you're really good, you can mix race in there and make yourself the victem (regardless of your nationality).
