What is everyone else's favorite DVDs in their collection?

Hmm second topic I made with a giant list of stuff, one would almost think that I have nothing to do or I am putting it all off.
Blue
Gee I dunno, DvDs?

Gee I dunno, DvDs?

Also known as Digital Video Discs, maybe you have heard about them in the last ten years or so, they are the common format for movies now since they took over from VHS.
Blue
Actually that was sarcasm indicating that I have DVDS in my DVD collection.
Hunter
I gathered as much, thats why I used it in my post as well. I hope you don't think I'm some sort of dumbass that takes everything seriously and has to make sure everyone is on the up and up, I'm much more of a (sometimes) funny jackass.
TheGrubz
No, but I think you're one that makes redundant posts.

You sir, are the kind of material we need here at LFG.

Well writing my papers for school gets boring, my friends on MSN just don't feel like having crazy conversations, and all my other forums are a bit more structured than this one in terms of content. That and I'm always glad to help with a large amount of redundancy.
TheGrubz
remember kids, rendundancy is what America is built on, just look at our kick ass system of Checks and Balances
Hunter
But I'm a Canadian
TheGrubz
In that case, American Law dictates that you chould be tarred and feathered for playing hockey and not sharing your maple syrup.
Hunter
I can't skate worth a damn and we export litres and litres of mable syrup every day.
Hunter
mmmm Metric system
TheGrubz
well, we'll get ya for using that. stupid metric system...
Hunter
Even though it is much better than Imperial since everything changes by 10s and 0 is the freezing point of water which makes more sense than 30
TheGrubz
oh well, inches are just more kick ass than centimeters.
Hunter
but meters are so much better off then both feet and yards
TheGrubz
but miles are cooler than kilometers....OH!
Hunter
But a Metric Ton totally beats out a regular Imperial Ton
TheGrubz
aw...damn you got me there. Still, Gallons whoop liters
Hunter
yes but Newtons beat out Poundsxfeet/second squared
TheGrubz
it seems the measurement war will never cease. Ounce beats the millilieter
Hunter
No, even though there are three countries that don't use Metric, Milligram beats the ounce
TheGrubz
oh no it don't, one ounce equals 28.34 grams!
Hunter
Yeah its such a fatty of course its no good.

No I concede, Imperial is okay for America, but SI rules everywhere else.
TheGrubz
Woo! I single handidly won America's right to use funny measurements! I'm George Mutha-F***ing Washington!
Andrea C.
Ehrr.. yep tongue.gif Back on topic:

  • The X-Files (seasons 1, 2, 3, 5)
  • Family Guy (season 1)
  • Blade Runner
TheGrubz
Don't be stealin' my thunder damnit! I'm George Washington! I won the American Revolution!

I hate being on topic
Hunter
George Washington also hated being on topic, in the middle of his first command going into the Ohio Valley he constantly asked his men if they rather go fishing than fighting the natives.
Captain
(I'm not Captain for nothing)

Boats are made internationally, by and for different markets, and even worse - often by and for multiple markets, so between boats, and even within a single boat, both Imperial and Metric are used - this means twice the amount of tools to be carried, twice the number of replacement parts, and twice the number of note-taking for each measurement.

So, because I have to know and use Imperial tools/bolts etc, I'd just like to say "Fuck you" to all my good Yankee buddies on here.

On Topic - I don't have any DVDs. Not a single damned one.

I've got every M*A*S*H episode on VHS taped off the TV, along with Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and a few others - but not a single DVD.
TheGrubz
*Our hero, Grubz, daringly breaks into Captain's house to steal the ancient M*A*S*H VHSs, only to find that nothing will play them anymore and a giant boulder of questionable composition is rolling down a slope of equally questionable composition towards him.*

Captain
I'm not sure I want to click that link, it sounds like hardcore recording hareware porn.

The only people I know who use the word "aficionado" are gentlemen-perverts who see nothing wrong with their fancy of tying up underage girls and seeing how many gummy bears they can fit into any given cavity.
Triforceelf
LoTR special extended edition. And the Princess Bride. Do I really need anything else? I thought not.

Jimmy, have you ever heard of renting. Im sure you dont watch many of those movies ever. Or you can just be like me and wear ann eye patch part time.
TheGrubz
Pirates don't watch movies silly, they go out on their boat, get wasted, and then pilage the nearby coastal hamlets for entertainment.

Actually, I do. I tend to have a movie going in the background while I'm working, reading, what have you. But that's Ok, I mean, you know me so well you had a lot of basis for saying what I do and don't watch.

You payed money for Doom? I wouldn't take a copy if I was able to punch the Rock in the face for having anything to do with it.
Zrem
Dont be dissing the Doom. Though the only reason I got it was it was cheap.
And I grew up on the games. Bought it out of principal.
But yes:

Doom
Saw
Saw II
Spider-Man
Spider-Man 2
12 Angry Men (original)
Final Fantasy VII Advent Children
Zoolander
Shaun of the Dead
Hachetman

Dont ask what Hachetman is. I bought it for 3 bucks at Albertsons cause I was bored that night and nothing good had come out recently.
The main characters were strippers. Thats all that mattered.
Clayton_n
I have five stacks of DVD's roughly three feet high. most of them are anime peppered with things like The Ninth Gate, A Knight's Tale, the 1th Kingdom (and a few others by the same people), and Repossessed.

Did you guys know Sailor and the Seven Ballz is a real anime?

Indeed I did. $3.99 bins rock.
Jimmy
Aww come on, Doom wasn't all that bad. Besides, it had Rosamund Pike in it. And nothing can be completely worthless with a girl that hot.
Hunter
But there are hot girls in better movies though. But I guess if they edited out everything else but her it would be good.
Crazy_fish
I have a couple of family guy, simpsons and futurama.
My plan is to eventually own every single episode of Scrubs on DVD.
