What WoW race out of the 10 playables would you actually want to be?

Take into considerations their pitfalls and issues. Yes, it would kick ass to be a blood elf, but the magicka addiction is an automatic NO to me. I'd like to be a night elf, but general distrust and a horrid society structure is a turn-off.

I'd end up being a Human, Gnome or and Undead.

HUMAN: Well... I have some practice in actually being human.

GNOME: No particular shortcomings, except for hight, and brilliant science is a bonus.

UNDEAD: Human, minus emotion so potentially easier.

That's OPINION. N-YO face.
Blue
Night Elf: ....For the chicks
Tauren: LOOK AT THAT WANG
Captain
Orc - because I played the original series, where they were identical to humans, but awesomer.

Death to enemies of the Horde etc etc.

But are you okay with a history of demonic possession and senseless warfare, as well as being one of the most hated races in Azeroth?

Think about this, I want serious answers if you can manage that.

Yeah, I'm pretty okay with it. Bloodlust is a freakin' awesome spell.

Only the most hated race on Azeroth if you're talking to a human, and Miss Proudmoore slinky-legs is doing her best to get into bed with heap big chief Thrall anyway.
Phoenix Talion
Blood Elf or Night Elf. Because I'm vain and shallow, and woman enough to admit it.

Neither Orcs & Humans or Tides of Darkness will run on my new computer. It make me sad.
Verbose
I am incapable of suggesting something other than what I am because that would imply there is a way to improve on myself.
3VIL_L337
undead because.. I'd be undead.

And Nelf.. For the chicks.
iloverichard
MAN i hate night elves. Don't pay attention to my sig.
3VIL_L337
....lol

I return from messing with my subtitles for The 300.

N-elf: the female ones are HAWT!

Undead: Decaying flesh means no pain , the ability to eat bodies , AND there is an entire genre of movies based on them!
Sureal
Allaince side.. Human, Night Elf or Draenei.. I just like em more. The NE and Drae just make blue skin look good. They're pretty.

as for horde, Blood elf. The magic addiction can be offset by draining small amounts of magic from other magical critters.. and they won't miss it because they can get along fine without that much magic as they have been. Plus, Green skin or blue skin.. or peeling dead skin ....or fur/horns.. isn't exactly pretty.... Except on Ne's or Drae.. They pull it off better.

Thas me.

^^THIS is the kind of answer I wanted. NOT zOMG cannibalize!^^

*sigh* I asked what you'd want to be in REAL LIFE.

In real life, not every NE is a sexy beast.

In real life, you do not have spells unless you are a caster. Blood fury equates with being really mad.

Also: You would settle for being cursed for eternity just to look hawt? Honestly if you would you have issues.
Who stole my display name?
Nelf or Troll.. why? Beacuse i want to be tall without too many hideous deformities.
Captain

Before I start, I hope we all realise just how silly that statement is, next you'll be saying "In real life, God wears reeboks" or something else equally inane.

In most of the known works, Elves of just about all types are Sexy, it's their top selling point. Some elves are tall, some are short, some like nature, some like magic, but they'll all hot and unquestionably doable by Human, Orc, and occasionally even Dwarf standards.
Who stole my display name?
Wait.. dwarves have standards?!
Asher
Alli: Gnome, for the intelligence, and for the way of thinking that leads to explosions <Id fit in>
Horde: Undead, would make it a lot easier to get free candy at halloween, also, no need to sleep. ever and what basically equates to immortality

You have valid points .... but :
Undead are decomposind and DEAD, you probably wouldnt have any tastebuds so the candy would be useless....
And yea It'd probably be a bit like leprosy... pieces falling off all the time.
Flecks
Undead: So I can gnaw people's face off whenever they make jokes about my lack of a wang. And also because I could really use a goal in my life, developing and spreading a plague sounds like something that'll keep me busy.

Draenei: Try to say my race's name, I dare you. And if you get it wrong I'll make you touch my squidy sideburns.

Yeah, but if its anything like Stubbs the Zombie, I can throw those pieces at people, to humorous effect.

Actually, leprosy is a disease that kills your nerves. Someone who has no treatment loses all sense of touch and they also become susceptible to a disease which rots their flesh. Leprosy itself, though, just leads to a severely compromised immune system and infection to death from wounds you can't feel.

Draenei: Try to say my race's name, I dare you. And if you get it wrong I'll make you touch my squidy sideburns.

Well, if we're going to pronounce this as it would be in Latin, it would be pronounced "dry-nay". However, in English it would be - we're told - "dran-eye".

I'll still touch your squigglies, though.
Ballscratch
It's his Cthulhu fetish coming back up.
Verbose
I pretty much have a fetish fetish. I find it fascinating that people can be passionate about things.
Ballscratch
That would be the best fetish to have, would save time on deciding what to be interested in.
Verbose
It's not really a fetish, sadly. Not enough passion.
Ballscratch
So, I have a Halo fetish?
Captain
I have a shrunken head fetish...

It's four am and I have not had alcohol for over a week. You expect me to be witty, I'm barely concious!

Here's my evaluation of the races in WoW.

Alliance
Humans - Enslave other races and force them to work in camps.
Dwarves - Murderous Bunny Killers
Gnomes - Cat Rapers and Environment Wreckers
Night Elves - Racist whores with no regard for the rest of the world. Oh, and it's their fault the Burning Legion showed up in the first place.
Dranei - Retarded Catfish Fairy Goats that rape Gnomes

Horde
Orcs - Not evil. They were misled at one point, but they are not evil.
Trolls - Three of the four species are evil, but Island Trolls just don't like outsiders.
Undead - Like any other industrial nation. They just want to expand.
Tauren - Not evil in anyway. Their leader just owes Thrall.
Blood Elves - Also not evil, they just have an arcane magic problem, which is acceptable.

So.... Who are the real bad guys?
Captain

Revolutionary!

The story has always been told from all sides, (with the exceptions of "little people") all races have had their say in all the canon-story games leading up to WoW - as is well established in fiction, if someone gets to have their point of view, they're not evil.
Triforceelf
In counter Point to HavokBlue...

The Alliance

Humans: A valiant race that has overcome onslaught after onslaught and even then is still willing to trust others, even when they see their trust betrayed time and again.
Dwarves: A compassionate and caring race that cares deeply for the lands of their mountain home and is more then willing to allow others to live their. They stand firm by their friends but are fierce enemies.
Gnomes: Intelligent and wise, they would sacrifice everything to protect their friends and then give more. They love the wonders of science but are still excepting of the arcane, and they are always cheerful.
Night Elves: The guardians of the natural world they care for the forests and animals and protect them from the ravages others would bring against nature. While they are slow to change, they are willing to help new friends.
Draenei: Forever fighting against evil and oppression where ever it may rear its head they are willing to take in those less fortunate or sick and protect them from harm. They understand the power of the natural world and seek a balance between progress and preservation.

The Horde:

Orcs: Power hungry and full of blood lust, they seek to carve a new nation out of the ashes of their destroyed enemies. Willing to betray those who will not follow them unquestioningly and to nourish a grudge for generations.
Trolls: Practitioners of cannibalism and hateful of outsiders, they are only willing to trust others when absolutely necessary, and then they become fanatically devoted to their friends and blind to what faults they may have.
Tauren: Rabid eco-freaks but still love to slaughter animals, the Tauren almost refuse any change at all and refuse to make peace with those they see as endangering their much vaunted traditions.
Undead: Once mindless slaves and now full of blind hate and a thirst for revenge they seek only to further their own goals and would betray their brothers of a copper. They hate all life as they mock all life.
Blood Elves: Victims of their own desire for power and addictions, they are now the servants of a demon possessed mad man and have stupped to such lows as to be willing to betray those who fought with them for their bitterest enemies, all for a drop of magic.

Who are the bad guys now be-atch? tongue.gif

Personally, I dont really think their are any bad guys (except the legion and the scourge, I mean common they are like Nazis and Communists, they are always the bad guys) its more like world war one where it was a bunch of self inflated morons battling over nothing and leaving a bunch of dead innocents behind. But heck it makes a great game!
Legato
The Alliance

Humans: A trust-free race who disowned the Forsaken and the Sindorei despite no actual cause of issue. A race who would rather stomp out the orcs then help them recover from demonic possession (holy men my ass).
Dwarves: A stout, hardy race that cares more about material wealth and arcane knowledge than is healthy.
Gnomes: Intelligent but unwise, they destroyed their own capital and now leech from the dwarves.
Night Elves: A biggoted, slow-minded caste of self deluded naturalists who refuse to accept the loss of immortality.
Draenei: Survivors of the Orcish occupation of Draenor, they too refuse to hear reason concerning the Burning Legion.

The Horde:

Orcs: A powerful but misunderstood race attempting to attain redemption for their past mistakes.
Trolls: Practitioners of cannibalism and hateful of outsiders, they are only willing to trust others when absolutely necessary, and then they become fanatically devoted to their friends and blind to what faults they may have.
Tauren: Former allies of the night elves, they are repaying the Horde for aiding them where the alliance would not.
Undead: Former humans corrupted by the Scourge, who regained their minds but not their souls. Forsaken (ding) by their former allies, they have sought acceptance where it can be found. Even in the Horde they know they are only an ally of efficiency and necessity.
Blood Elves: Victims of the Scourge, a direct result of the madness Arthas brought to Azeroth. Betrayed by the humans over their unfortunate condition, they have sought help from the Forsaken.

NOTE: Blood Elves and Undead are a result of human bitterness. Taurens only owe the horde becuase the Night Elves wouldn't help them with the Centaur, and the Orcs and Trolls are trying to make a home without getting crushed by the Humans who refuse to help them. Therefore, the evil races are the HUMANS and NIGHT ELVES. They forsake their former allies and refuse to gain peace with the Horde.

CLAP!

You're both wrong.

Because you couldn't share, no body gets to play.

This would be so much sweeter if I had the resources to close down the World of Warcraft servers.

Yay! I'm wrong!

...Also, I don't play WoW anymore so go ahead. I do like the Warcraft Lore, though.

just add "higly effeminate" and "just as arrogant as those damn night elves" to the blood elf discription and that is basically my whole outlook on WoW.

Anyways, I would love being a gnome becuase I could hide under tables and set people's legs on fire with my warlockness, also, being able to kill something about ten times your size with asteam powered chicken is the most metal way to fight. If I had to queer it all up and join the horde I would be Undead due to the fact that I love zombie films and frankly the whole lower-jaw just seems, unnescary to me.
BloodyPiper
I would be a Tauren. For many reasons apart from the obvious (they are damn awesome) And a druid for a few more reasons
1: Tauren's are cattle. They have horns.
2: From Warcraft 3 and rumours about WoW there the only race that can use a whole tree as a weapon
3: Tauren's arn't evil in anyway. They honour their promises and the people that support them. As said above, Nelfs left Tauren's to deal with it themselves and Horde where the only ones who cared
4: I'm twice as tall, tank and kick ass as anyone else
Druid
3: I can turn into a bear, cat and weired swiming creature. Do I need to say anything else?

1 2 3 4... Three mi'lord three! Yes! Three! BOOOM! :bunny goes splat: (Sorry but that was too funny to pass up. And druids pwn)

Aside from that, I personally like the Tauren a lot, though I do have one burning question: Do we lactate?

All irrelevancy's aside, the Tauren are a noble race of... cows... that look cool kick ass and take names. Thats why I like them and why they got my vote for the horde.
Ballscratch
I say Spartan One One Seven.

And I only jism when I go Spartan Oh Two Nine mode.

Joshua = My favourite Spartan. Will is a close second, with Sam a distant third.

John doesn't even make the list.

who needs three spartans when you could have 300?

My favourite race is undead but I dont really want to be one... maybe blood elf - I'm allready tall, little skinny and long-haired tongue.gif

An interesting take on science and the whole species thing.

I should do some tests, as a short hairy person, I may be related to wombat!
IrishGlen
I have no clue what I voted for... my roommate just told me to select blood elf and night elf..... She likes to answer polls. I know not why.
Drouth
Just to answer triforceelf: Yes, since all mammals lactate Tauren do as well. How else would they feed the baby Tauren?

And to answer the topic question: Tauren, I'm a furry >.> just kidding. Still Tauren though, They're just so awesome I can't express it in words. On the alliance side I'd want to be a gnome, mischievous little buggers.

Edit: And sorry for necroposting.

Pssst, Drouth! Posting in year-old threads is against Forum rules and will make mods grumpy!

Please don't do it. smile.gif Wouldn't want to see you banned.

Twas an accident. I have a habit of following random links, so I ended up here, and I didn't think to check the date of the thread before I posted. As i said before, sorry bout Necroposting.

Indeed, necroposting is a bad thing. Now then, time for a bit of a turn undead!
