I made a character when Wow was first released, im a big fan of the original warcraft games and bought Wow because i thoguht itd extend the story (which is does, but very very little).

After a while i stopped playing and gave the account to my dad, he continued playing with my character and he now has him as level 65 haha...

You would think that as time went on that the WoW experience would become a complete and utter bore. I've found myself quitting the game over and over again and with the release of the Burning Crusade found myself once again sucked in >.<. I have far to many characters to speak of, having the same issue as Eliedass about getting them to a certain level and then just starting over so I'll just list the one's above 30

I used to play WoW, EQ2 and pretty much all the MMO's out there, but I haven't had enough time lately to get really into it as much as I'd like.

Forgive this blasphemer - but what exactly is WoW's appeal? I have a couple friends that are absolutely obsessed with the game but they've yet to be able to tell me why.

It's incredibly big with thousands of things to do. Takes some time to get use but worth it.

I played and got a 60 hunter on Nathrezim. I quit somewhat before BC was released for no apparent reason except that it was a little too slow for me.

Wow has great graphics for its style ( its supposed to be cartoony like the previous Warcraft Games) It has fantastic game play, Thousands of places to go etc...

the only problem i had was the lack of story, i enjoy writing and reading good stories and the reason i bought wow was to continue its story however it dosn't input much in the way of the story and because of that i soon lost interest.

However the community side of the game is largely appealing to those who enjoy that kind of thing.

The community was one of the major reasons I quit. They are stupid, very very stupid.

On the story side something always bugged me:

Nearly all alliance quests feature you somehow assisting and reinforcing that particular area for the alliance. Gave the feel that the alliance is on the brink of doom. The horde quests on the other hand had you doing whatever the hell you want. The horde quest line made the horde seem incredibly strong and the alliance quest line made it feel like you were an hour away from destruction.

Horde > Alliance

I play exclusively on Dark Iron now. I take part in the Penny Arcade Alliance, and I love it! If you stay out of the guild officer drama, things are a lot more fun. Tycho and Gabe from Penny-arcade.com created a really good community over on Dark Iron. You can trust the people that are part of it. No worries about Ninjas or shitty raid skills. People get taught to be better and they get taught ettiquitte (spelling?) or they dont stay part of the alliance.

We used to have a good webcomic force to fight against... CaD and PvP (though really.. Two guilds against 12 isnt very fair!) But they kinda died off when they had a huge drama issue... We have so many fans of Penny Arcade that we do have 12 guilds in the alliance..

Maybe people here could roll Horde on Dark Iron and make a Fanguild to battle PAA? If you do get one going, check out penny-Arcade.com and send a letter out to Gabe issuing a challenge! It'll be fun to have fresh blood to fight again.

The day before they changed the honor system, we went and annihilated every single Horde City. Well, except UC... Rather then let us finish killing her, Sylvanas killed the server. But every other city we totally wiped clean!

I've also tried playing as every other class, including Shaman (yes, I have BC). I tried them all more so I could know what to expect when in a party than anything else.

hehe official ex wow freak my 2 lvl 60 warlocks undead (why you ask?) because warlocks pwn especially pvp I should know i got both in epic pvp gear which is now irelevant since BC ha. As for BC to all you who play it enjoy but meh even though 70 easy to get from how I seen my friends get to lvl 66-68 already one week in I didn't bother get it myself as after 1 year of rampaging BGs doing MC , ZG and AQ 20 it really has got boring and plus only way I of got BC and still play WOW is if they had added a new class not races (even though the races are cool I rather have a new class altogether)

This isn't exactly about WoW - but I was just curious... what other sectors of the Blizzard universe do ya'll inhabit? I for one am a rabid Starcraft fan - and to be perfectly honest I was really pissed off at Blizzard when they came out with WoW instead of making a new Starcraft.

If its blizzard chances are I've played it... I are nerd lol.

I also. .well I guess we all have.. friends who have lost their souls to this evil.. Never have understood what is so great in a rpg that doesnt have any plot.. running quest like some errand boy and killing endless amount of enemies just to get exp just doesnt struck me as fun..
