But, it would imply that Richard was plotting against the orphans for their money to fufill his own selfish needs. Richard needs nothing (he can already MAKE arrows with his mind, jeez, what more could you want?). He's just in it for the irony and humor of the situation. No more motivation than for his own amusement.
