Anyone notice how skinny their enemy is in the bottom left? he seemed so much bigger before, even when next to the giant one that wants to lick Cale.

I just started noticing how much of a real-estate genius Richard is. Serously, being in charge of a tourist town AND a summer home in the Pit of Despair. Absolutely incredible.

Well, I just started to like Richard a bit more. He actually seems more traumatized than I thought. Really, why is he trying to turn every problem into a joke? He's trying to convince something with being a smart ass in pinches. Now I'm really starting to get interested in what he has in his background. More than convincing others, I really think that he's trying to convince himself that he's worth even something. I've seen these kinds in real life.

But I actually liked this one, again. A nice one.

Now I'm really waiting for Richard to snap at some point. Brings Neon Genesis Evangelion to my mind. Well, the show sucked despite 5 last episodes, but they were pretty nice.

Awww. I agree Kraus. I think Richard is really just looking for some positive attention. Did you see the look on his face at the end of issue 15/beginning of 16. He was joking around and the others walked out on him. He looked so hurt. I swear I wanted to hug him.

I have to confess, "There's no Fwoosh" is now my all-time second favourite line, from any work written/filmed/photographed.

My first favourite is "We can't stop here. This is bat country."

Man that movie still gives me nightmares.

Even without his spells, I'm sure Richard will use his sharp little claws to gouge an eye or two if needed.

Yeah I must say the "Bye-bye Squishy" is a very good ending line. But as an avid lover of Blizzard games (well ones ending in the "craft" suffix (well Diablo 2, and its expansion as well but I mean come on I mean they are just great fun)) I must ask if the line "Get ready to fire it up" is in reference to the Terran Firebat from Starcraft.

and also why does Richard not use some of his other super cool powers, the Shammans can only block elemental magic (I would think by most definitions) so why not just turn the whole group into one walking wall of undead? This is not a Fire spell, but rather a dark magic spell (arcane if I would class it in more of a WoW term). But seeing as that would make for a somewhat boring story I can see why.

The big guy at the end was crying, he is my favorite character.

What did it for me was the "wubble wubble wubble." I mean, Richard tries to FWOOSH, fails, and shakes his hand! "Hmm, my preternatural magic powers seem to be inactive. Nothing a good shake can't fix!"

Still makes me chuckle.

I must admit, I find Richard's sad, little dejected expression at his sudden lack of "fwoosh", and his subsequent troubleshooting tactics to really have made this edition. The "Squishy" comment at the end was, for me, merely icing on the cake. I believe Cale may be in need of a little couch-time with the therapist after this little escapade, and I wonder if Richard might, too.

It appears to me like either the shamans have blocked all magical use, or, pehaps only elemental, as earlier suggested, but nobody really had the time to test the limits of the shaman's activities before they were apprehended. Time will tell on that, of course. We may still yet, one hopes, see a few escaping skeletons or, better yet, some new spell. Personally, I rather cherish the notion of something that rots away living flesh, but this taste may not be for everyone.

I rather think I like the idea of Tim as a 5th party member. I daresay, he and Krunch together would make for a delightfully punishing one-two punch in battle, though I rather suspect he might upset the tactical balance a touch. Still, to at least occasionally see him bounding after Cale, bent on licking him would be a delightful diversion for them.

I agree. As usual, Richard steals the show. I'm really interested to see just how he compensates for not being able to use his powers. But I'm sure between him and Benny they can come up with something. My only real concern is that with the party being temporarily separated, we may only see half the group in the next edition . Six days without seeing Richard? They wouldn't do that to us would they??

Yes, they may be that cruel. Holding off the object of our addiction so that they may bind us tighter to it...

Ahhh, that is why they invented rife speculation. For instance, we don't know to which race Gid belongs.... so we speculate. We don't know what type of magic the shamans are suppressing... so we speculate. I don't know how Tim is going to join the party, so I speculate his infatuation with Richard and his love of tasting Cale will cause him to free the whole party, which will eventually lead to a Tim-Cale-Squishy love/lick triangle.

Hilarity will ensue.
