Is it just me, or does it seem odd that while the forum rules prohibit us from cursing or making bigoted remarks, the comic itself makes reference to a lead character being a female genital and another reference to the Troll Priestess being raped? Also, I was wondering why the thread titled F****** Awesome hasn't been deleted or altered yet.

It makes perfect sense.

Given the slightly adult (but not explicit) nature of the comic, we in the forums have been given a simple rule in terms of explicit language and bigotry: Don't do it.

However, our moderators also take into account the fact that LFG is slightly adult comic and trust us to be responsible enough to not cross the line between appropriate and inappropriate. We do, on occasion, swear and seem to discuss sex (amongst other adult subjects) incessantly.

If either Kay or Ghis think we have crossed a line, they moderate us. Generally, we are given a gentle reminder followed by having our post edited. Suspension follows from there and, one assumes, banishment is a last resort to enforcing the rules.

So long as we follow the prime directive, to play nice, we are given some leeway in bending the rules.




Also, if the thread named Fucking Awesome is the first time you've seen the word on internets, then you're a statistical miracle. It's a locked topic and so far, to the extent of my knowledge, nobody has complained about it. Eventually, it will be pushed off the front page and never seen again.

Then it is because the comic is an image, and can't be searched, the forums can, so if we say all the really cool four letter words, the next guy searching for Jessica Alba's panties will find this forum.

The comic is a form of artistic expression. Forums are (or where at some point in time) supposed to be hubs for exchange of useful information and ideas. In the spirit of art, the artists can do whatever the f*ck they want. In the spirit of the forums, stay civil.
