Yay, cheating! This is specifically why I was checking the forums before logging for the night.
Thanks for the update!

That is a good question.
The Important Letter is a great plot device.
And it is undoubtedly cheating to post this before the comic is posted.

I guess that explains the letter from

1. I'm lost - which letter is this now? (can't be bothered reading back)
2. Don't you just love how Cale has an answer for everything lately?
3. Yup, they're not real brothers and sisters.

4. Cap'n! And Ray'd!
They're finally getting out of the temple! I can't wait for Thursday!
Edit: Aaaaaaah, that letter! Well, I remember that now, but how did they expect me to make the connection? I can't remember what day it is half the time, let alone what took place in the strip months ago! Psssh, if it weren't for this forum, I'd have no idea what was going on...

Holy crap, he is. And to think none of us in Ustream noticed it the whole time he was working on this page.
Hmm. Which one to pin...
~ edit ~
I guess it'll have to be this one, since everyone's ignoring the other.
Next time though,
wait until the comic has been uploaded. Last thing any of us want to see is people thinking it's OK to jump the gun and start posting new comic topics several minutes (or even hours) before the comic is actually up, just so they can claim dibs. Xal's topic was the first topic posted after the comic was up and rightly should've been the one used.
Although, I don't see anything wrong with a simple "Lar is going to be late" topic as a heads-up for everyone else.

Am i the only oen still bothered by the fact that no one has yet adressed the fact that The group is ignoring that 1. Richard is now the spokesperson for the bunny. And 2. That the bunny was giving Richard an order, or at least seemed to have a schizophrenic moment about what to order them too do?
Maybe they do know it is the AM... or maybe they are just thinking. 'Richard is just so awesome he can make anything happen.' i know i do.

gotta love how everytime people start to think that sohmer has totally forgotten about something, it gains importance again. Its a good thing I have a good memory for all kinds of useless rubbish (unfortunately I can't apply this skill to my studies), otherwise I'd probably have to go through the whole comic again every few weeks just to understand what's happening...

you know. we've never had any back story on cale what so ever.
we'v met benny and krunch's previous life.
we know richard was once lord ashendale. and that he is the mayor of the village he pressumably grew up in.
we know phellas father groomed her to be cales guardian.
but we know nothing about cale.
whos betting this letter is going to be from somebody from cales past.
maybe his old village, his family, hell could be anyone.
but this might be a chance to get some history on the comics mane protagonist.

The question may not be so much as to what the letter contains, as how it going to transport an entire population of Tauren/Minotaurs, Gnomes, Trolls, and Elves across the sea.
Also, am I the only one whose seeing an unintentional parallel to WoW? I know there are many parallels -I'm referring to the fact that all the races are banding together, going across the sea to a new land, to fight or at least thwart a force of evil named "The Legion." Of course, they seem to be running away instead of standing and fighting. Or do they plan on the Legion following them across the world?
Also, could someone link a page for this "kick-ass general who defected" that has been mentioned once or twice?

We don't know exactly what was exchanged between the bunny an the matron. I think the reason Richard left is such a huff was because his position of authority lasted only long enough to hand it over to Cale.

Although it being a letter from the General with some kind of help would be simply epic, I'd prefer this to be someone from Cale's past. We know nothing about it, and yet he's the main character. Heck, we know more about Richard's past.

We know more about the supposedly "mysterious" Richard than almost any other character in the comic with the possible exception of Benny and Pella but then again we don't even know what race Benny is.

Obviously the letter has instructions on how to turn it into a giant paper airplane.
On a more serious note does anyone else think it's odd Cale refers to leaving and accepting the conquering of the north as defeating the legion.
Also this strip had no real plot development ( just a reminder of an old dropped thread ) and no real joke either.

Im disappointed no one has pointed to "The Photas" (that cup the schizophrenic kid with white eyes carried to flood the village.)
In fact, wouldn't it be a good way to save a large group of people by walking them across. (reference to anything familiar?)
On the other hand, I think that the same village of people would be more than able to send some semblance of a fleet, given their leader (Cale) is across an ocean.

It's from Cale's mother, who told him he had to be home in time for supper.
