We all are confuzled on what the sisterhood is actually is...
on the first bit we have proof of two of the sisters being human

http://lfgcomic.com/page/148

but thanks to later pages we see that mainly all of the sisterhood / brothers are blue elvens

i think that maby this sisterhood isa mixture or maby like a sub-race of elves that are tanned therefore stay covered up???

its a bit random but i think its time for the confuzled-ness to be sorted out XD
Jonath
Fusion happened which explains the blue sisters but doesn't explain why some sisters are still pink and bald.

huh.gif wow first time I've ever seen a double topic post. Comp lag much?
Jessi
yea sorry XD
its a laptop aswell you can delete the other 1 XD

Main theory being tossed about is that not everyone fused.

However, we are still left with the question of what exactly the fusion was supposed to be other than a power up.
Jessi
so what the fudge is fusion??? did they all get raidiated and get mutated???
in the newest page even that 1 has pinky sisters XD

if they got riadiated what the hell has that amoutn of raidio-activity??? and where can i get some??? i want to be a blue elf XD

I think the remaining pink sister(s) are a result of the sisters outnumbering the sons. The sons population could easily have shrunk to less than the population of the sisters due to their harsh hidden existence in the dungeon.

i think that the pink sisters aren't truly sisters, but outsiders who just joined the group in the effort to save them. this also takes into consideration the moment when richard said he would like to join the sisterhood (page 5)

I think Richard was referring to an order of priestesses and he was joking.

Someone recently made the observation that all the "transformed" and blue Sisters all seem to be rather clingy to one of the Sons. This seems to be connected to the Fusion and the whole thing that went down off camera.

However, once again, it raises new questions. Namely, who are the Matron and Tah'Vraay bonded to?

He meant THESE Sisters, so he wasn't ENTIRELY joking... but, since this is loosely based off of Robert Jordan's Aes Sedai, I would say that every priestess is a Sister.

Sounds like a huge influence from Robert Jordan. The thought of this sentence reminds me of Aes Sedai and Warders. But, I do see your point.

In addition, my theory on the fusion is just a mesh of combining the different magics used by the Brothers and Sisters. Since I see a resemblance of RJ's TWoT Aes Sedai in this webcomic, I see that this must be what it was like for the Aes Sedai when they had both sexes using the One Power. In consideration, I also see a resemblance between the Drow Priestesses of Lloth and the Sisters. They worship a deity and see themselves as superior. *sigh* All in all, the Fusion is the combination of the worldly magics. (Sorry for the massive verbose statement, it was unintentional... but I still got my point across).

When Richard mentioned the Sisterhood back in the beginning, he was saying so in the sense that he could tell Benny was a priestess. There is no way that they were referring to this group in my mind. They certainly don't seem to recognize Benny now.

Or am I misinterpreting everybody?

He could've assumed she was part of the Sisters. Either that, or Sohmer forgot. Who knows the whim of the writers. As far as I know, the Sisters are the only Priestesses that we know of throughout the story... unless, in the story, you would like to point out all the other Priestesses we have encountered. I assume they meant THESE Sisters, but who knows. Neither of us are right or wrong.

Didn't Benny go into the Legaran city to become a priestess though, which was where she met Sayl, Rojave and all them? Besides all that, I think her magic is fairly different from the Sisters she's around now, as far as I've seen.

And I'll put 2 things to your argument of "Where are the other priestesses?" 1) In general, most of the side/unimportant characters have been male. Hard to find priestesses in that crowd. tongue.gif 2) They haven't exactly spent too much time in religious areas. More than half the story is between cities and the like, and I don't think they've ever actually been inside a form of church, save the bunny temple. (This is probably for the better, given Richard's nature and tendencies wink.gif)

And I still think it's rather telling that none of the Sisters here seem to recognize Benny. There's no sign of a history with any of them except...

Well, there was the staredown between her and Tah'Vraay when they met on the boat, but nothing concrete. dry.gif

We've seen Clerics but they seemed powerless against Richard and his villagers which makes you wonder why Richard was worried to start with. Other than that there aren't a lot of priest types.

The villagers took them by surprise and the priests was outnumbered.

That doesn't mean anything. If they really had Holy powers Richard and co shouldn't have been able to touch them.
