I'm betting its because Richard did actually put some gas in the bubble, unfortunately the gas is not oxygen, its helium and its quickly forcing the air out of the Bunny's lungs, that could explain why he's turning blue so fast.
hmmm... more likely, the bubble has no gas in it at all. If Richard wanted to protect the bunny, it would be better to form a "solid" bubble, one containing a liquid or a gel. This would protect the bunny from shocks which would likely occur in a fight, whether from being jerked too quickly or hit by an errant khukuri. The liquid or gel would act as an inertial damper, allowing the exterior bubble to take the force by re-shaping temporarily an thus dissapating the force of the blow.

But that's no fun! And hey, maybe the Archmage is Richard's sister-in-law's brother-in-law's cousin from Albuquerque!
It could also be part of Richard's plan, and trying to get the sisters to let the bunny go with him (though they'd tag along, just in case...). See, bunny is in a bubble with little air. Probably hyperventilating in an enclosed place from panic, and from the bouncing around. Small bunny, big situation. What better impetus for letting them go then bunny as hostage? Especially given that situation. The only one who may protest the loudest over that would be the Matron, which is where Tah'vraay (again, spelling, sorry) steps in to subdue the Matron, thus allowing the bunny to live; and she tags along with the group as the bunny's bodyguard.

I'm guessing it will be the whole AM reveals himself plot, either that or bunny dying dramatically in Richard's arms.

The Sons' swords are
khukris. Somebody asked that before, but I don't remember where. The name finally came to me tonight.
I found this part of the wiki entry interesting, given the appearance of the post-fusion Sisters and the bunny idols.
"The kukri also has a religious significance in Hindu religion and is blessed during the Dasain sacrificial festival."Actually they are
Falcatas. They have a distinctive hilt that loops around the hand. Also, the Kukri is more like a dagger, while the Falcata is a sword.

Its not really a question of wanting, if you're dead (unless you're Don Hall apparently that is) a ring claims your body. Hell even God's Wrath wasn't immune to one.
Plus Richard would certainly want anything to make him look more intimidating.

I laughed so hard, I nearly fell out of my chair. This has to be one of the most epic comics that's involved the ArchBunny. Besides the whole Reunion scene between the two.
At least we know one thing, Richard's fondness for the bunny goes far enough that he will literally make the bunny his ol' ball n' chain.
Cale: Richard... I think you should let the him out. The poor bunny is turning blue.
Richard: Blue Bunny? I want Ice Cream. -pulls out the Pillaging Shovel- Look! It's a Ultra Spoon!

Looks to me like Richard is just trying to prevent the bunny from falling into the Matron's hands. The Matron shouted out that the fusion of the sisters and brothers together with the return of The Blessed One would be unstoppable. So she clearly wants to make a stand against Legara right there. The Blessed One's plans are for Cale to take them all to Kethenicia and Richard knows of these plans. I don't know why Richard would follow these plans. But as he stated that he too was following some path he must think that this path should not end here.

Richard isn't a very subtle guy. If he really wanted to reveal the arch-mage he'd find a more obvious approach. No, this is just him forgetting that rabbits need to breath.
My guess is that the Sisters will stop first and let Richard keep the bunny in order to save their god.

what you don't realise is that there are actually two Richards: The childish jokster, who is mainly fassade, and a very misterious, century old man who follows a path only known to him. The second Richard appears seldom, but he is always there.

Ha. It occurs to me, this is sort of the AM we're talking about, in addition to Richard. Sure, it won't be comfortable for him in the bubble, and he'll have to do a lot of on-the-spot magery (what form it would take, I'm not sure), but the bunny will probably turn out all right. Let's see what form this all will take, in the coming pages.
I mean, rather than task Richard entirely, forgetting that rabbits need to breathe, we have to remember two powerful, perhaps equally sane forces at work where the poor felbunny is concerned.
