Has anyone else finished the new Robert Jordan novel yet? Spent all night awake Tues and most of Wed reading it. I won't post spoilers but HOLY SNOT!!!! it was a tremendous book and probably the best of the series. Maybe it's just because things aren't being drawn out anymore but there's a definite shift in the WoT and it's all for the good!

I only just bought Eleven (Eight-Ten were hard to get through because of slowness) and it's pretty good, so I'll probably add Gathering Storm to my Christmas list. If I like it, I might just take a look at some other Sanderson stuff.

I'm going to try and get it soon, but I still have a shitload to read... kinda upset that it's not in my book collection yet.

Gathering Storm should be DEFINITELY added to the list of books that make the trek worthwhile.

Finished as of two days ago. Very happy with the results.

... I'm not going to spoil it, I was considering but I decided to refrain. So for all of those who haven't read the book but wanted to read the spoiler... SHAME ON YOU!!!!

Can you tell us if it is the first of 3 as was previously stated? Or is it the last book period?

It's the first of three, thankfully.

Also, if anyone has read it want's to send a personal note so I can rant about all the shocking moments and such, please do. No one I know has gotten through the series at this point, and I'm just dying to talk about it.

I keep hearing about this Wheel of Time series. I believe I saw a post by Sohmer the other week talking about his love for the series.


I should look into this since people like it so much. I mean, people kept telling how good Ender's Game is and they were right.

Best book in the series in my opinion. Easily.

I feel bad saying that seeing how it wasn't all Roberrt Jordan writing it, but I thought it was the best story.

I finished it earlier this week and promptly started re-reading it haha.
