Bag-o-Legion-Ears
If anyone is killing anyone it better be Richard, because his murders are always so much more fun!

Cale's can be fun too, if you like angst.

But what about Tah'vrey (not sure if I got the spellnig right). I have no indication how the others feel about it (yet), but the Matron is starting to look like she's gone off the deep end, from those expressions. We know she left home/was exiled/whatever. Im' assuming, instructed to babysit, pretty much, but... o0;

We don't see Pella yet, either: and we know she's working for the AM. Is Pella out looking for the real bunny god? Or what passes for one, anyway? And would said bunny be able to end the Legion's forays, or at least the Matron's frothing-at-the-mouthness? I don't peg the Matron as a Bumi-type, but where his imply mischievousness, hers appears to imply some form of loosened sanity. Expressions, that is.

Gah, I need coffee.

lol
dathwampeer
i really wanna punch the blue skinned over zealous cow in the mouth.
she has a very disagreeable face.
especially when shes doing the crazy woman arrogance smile in panel 3.
and then the praise bunny face in panel 4.

i just don't like her face.

The Archmage is powerful but I doubt he can destroy the entire Legion singlehandedly. He wasn't able to defeat the Vulli after all.

*snicker* My keyboarding bites, I know.

Hm... I wonder if we should keep Richard off the Internet. He might take this literally.

Wasn't able, or wasn't willing? It's not unheard of for powerful characters to make lesser beings do their work for them, even though they could easily do it themselves. Usually they make the excuse that it was all to make them stronger, (He wanted Cale to lose his innocence) or occasionally they're honest about it, they were just bored and thought watching some mortals nearly or actually get themselves killed would be amusing.

You could argue that he's just trying to fulfill some ancient prophecy that Cale will be King but I think its mostly he's just living vicariously through Cale to create his dreamed of Utopia.

I'd bet on he just finds it amusing to watch personally, he seems like a royal asshole to me.

I think you might all be missing the point of the Archmage....He would have known about the prophecy before Kethenecia was ever in danger of going belly up. I think he was trying to prevent it along with those dragon First-born, who are probably trying to redeem their ancestor's murders of the ancient humans. Of course, they both fail in trying to protect Kethenecia, so now the Archmage is trying extra hard to make things right, but everythings not going his way, again('This was not supposed to happen')

As for the Matron....while she does seem to be a bit fanatic, there are a few possibilities:
1) The entire religion is a hoax(possible, but not likely. Even the Captain has respect for the Bunny and she hasn't followed very well in her mother's footsteps)
2) The Bunny is the creator, and the Archmage is using that form to guide the Sons and Daughters towards helping Cale
3) There was a 3rd thing, but i forget tongue.gif lol

Pella's only been gone for like three issues, and they still seem to be in the same situation, why does anything had to have happened to her?

This episode was rather boring, because it didn't bring anything new - Dick is making fun of bunny-ism AGAIN.
And the joke with monkey wasn't funny.

I noticed something different - Dick said "FRIENDS" .
And I remember long discussion about his place in the party, his motives etc. and how he joined the party for destruction only.
He said: friends.
That means something! tongue.gif

I wouldn't say it didn't bring anything new. While no big actions were made, it did do a few important things. It established that the legion force that attacked them was wiped out. It also further illustrated their devotion to their bunny god. It shows that most of them are unlikely to leave the temple easily. Finally, it hints that it might be difficult for them to leave with bunny, and we all know Richard won't leave bunny behind.

Also, the two jokes from Richard were amusing at the very least, and it was better than a strip that was nothing but a Richard joke.

I also noticed that Richard did use the word 'friend.' This, as you suggested, likely shows a sort of development for Richard. Or maybe not, can never really tell with him.
GothicMoocow
haha richard was on a roll in this one

Okay, this has been bugging me for a while. I've been an avid reader since one of my friends turned me on to it. People keep asking about the bunny and where it came from. Does no one remember that the bunny was Richard's "mount" when he was a little Dick? He must of decided to keep it cause....idk...maybe he could sense it was the AM? idk...gahh...I need caffeine ><
poochyena
Yes..it was Richard's mount that when he went back to normal, he kept it as his pet

Thought Pella was just P.O.'ed about her "run in" with Kale. When he basicaly threatened her if she ever pulled anything like the Gnome's tower thing again....idk
deadangel
yeah i think so oh well i dont think cale should of been so hard on her about it though she did what she had to do i mean honestly. but oh well shthe past is the past lol
Barbarian At The Gate
Richard's fear of infectious craziness spreading to him can easily be attributed to the fact that most crazy people especially megalomaniacs like Richard view themselves as at least sane if not more rational than everyone else.

Also his fear of infectious crazy has him suggesting the whole group get away from the crazy person in question so he may not be worried about himself being crazy so much as he's worried about the whole group becoming crazy.
