Art is always about communicating ideas. As a cartoonist, my primary choice of communication are the pictures I draw. As an illustrator, I love to take ideas from others and run with them and hopefully take them places the writer never dreamed of. I think that's one reason why I find blogging to be such an effort - it's a words medium. If I had time, I think I'd be better off drawing a comic strip to get these thoughts across, but then... that's a big 'if' and I'd rather spend my time doing other things with it.
One of those things is my Ustream. Tonight I get to slip back into my regular time slot of 8pm ET and I hope you'll be around to join me because I'm hoping for your feedback. I love being able to connect with everyone and thank you for being readers. Being the kind of personality I am, I'm also always looking for ways to improve the broadcast so it remains as fun and entertaining as possible as well. A couple of the ideas I've had I'll be running past people tonight and holding out for discussion. Things like devoting a 'regular' segment of time to doing celebrity caricature and creating wallpapers for LICD and LFG.
The other idea I would love input on is next week's broadcast. Why next week? Well because it's the night before Hallowe'en!! Now, I know a lot of you probably already have plans for a Friday night but bear with me. I think it's a great time to have a *theme* night on Ustream and I'm going to ask for suggestions on what I should be drawing. Should it be a 'how to'? Zombies? Monsters? Vampires? A Hallowe'en pin up of a ghoulish gal? Caricatures of Hallowe'en personalities? A couple different projects or one big one? Should I just keep my mouth shut and draw?
The best ways to let me know your thoughts are right here in this thread, messaging me on twitter (@lartist) or by joining the chatroom tonight during my Ustream. I hope to see you there
