I don't see how Cale is ambiguously gendered at all. He's got a huge chin, a big nose, and a more ripped chest and abdomen than anyone on this forum I'd wager. The "dude looks like a lady joke" was funny once in the beginning of the strip because of the whole androgynous blood elf thing but now its gotten pretty old and it no longer really makes sense.

He means that the gender ambiguity jokes were suppose to be a one off from the beginning of the comic, but some people just won't freaking let it go. They bring it up at every possible chance and somehow still manage to think it's funny. Meanwhile, some of us just think it's gotten old.

Ah yes Legolas. Tolkien more than anyone hated when Legolas was interpreted as feminine or "graceful" he actually stated in a letter to a fan that Legolas was actually the most manly member of the group (with the possible exception of Aragorn, cause he's Aragorn) after all he made it up the Caradhras easily when the others struggled with the snow and wind. As for your earlier female bodybuilder point I hardly see how that's considered feminine.

Again, elf, you can never tell with them, the only exceptions being Drow, their genders are usually clearly defined, if the elf in question is being tortured, chances are good it's male, if it's doing the torturing it's female.

No need, pretty sure everyone's aware that Richard knows the bunny is the archmage.
So his behavior here is likely due either to A) Him not getting the connection,

His ego, or C) Just a way to amuse himself.

Suntiger

Richard doesn't have a girly physique. What we have seen of it looks more like very thin/starvation victim physique.
Not sure where the idea of male elves as girly came from originally, but for LFG I don't think Cale looks very girly.
Possibly youthful, from a human perspective because of his lack of beard, but otherwise I've never had a problem to see that he's a male.
Likewise Legolas from the LotR film. Orlando Bloom makes him look youthful (he's actually a bit older than Aragorn IIRC), but not feminine.
Seriously, you make me wonder what twisted images you have on masculinity and femininity both.
Are you so indoctrinated that you can't see past the media stereotypes of male and female?
There are males who look feminine, and there are females who look masculine, but there is a fair amount of leeway between the bishie male and the bearded bodybuilder male as well as between the bodybuilder steroid female and the exaggerated playboy female.

Several people pointed out the mitsubishi looking symbol on the bunny's' foreheads. Maybe that has something to do with the three dots on arcmage/bunny's forehead. Also of note is the Benny/Cale interaction here. It is their first direct interaction since Cale's great conquest.
Rurik

QUOTE
The name "Mitsubishi" refers to the three-diamond emblem. "Mitsubishi" is a combination of the words mitsu and hishi. Mitsu means three. Hishi means water chestnut, and Japanese have used the word for a long time to denote a rhombus or diamond shape. Japanese often bend the "h" sound to a "b" sound when it occurs in the middle of a word. So they pronounce the combination of mitsu and hishi as mitsubishi.
There are also some alternate interpretations of the logo
The logo for this successful worldwide Japanese automobile manufacturer is made up of three points that symbolise trust, integrity and openness. The logo is based on the merger of two age-old Japanese dynasties who used a coat of arms with three similar diamond patterns.
Mitsubishi built its first car in 1917. The company itself goes back to 1870, when it built its first ships - the three diamonds represent a ship's propellers.
Just thought I'd point this out, in the event maybe Sohmer or Lar chose that design for it's meaning, or maybe one of them just got a new car.
Jonath
