True, but this is by mook standards, considering he's survived a battle against the heroes to return that shows he's smarter than the average mook at least.

In the Legaran Legion your best defense is the man in front of you!

Unless you're facing Richard, in that case the best defense is a thousand men in front of you, and the ability to outrun the Flash.

whats with all the fillers get back to the main people already or at least have some interesting dialect in the fillers to make them somewhat interesting

Dialect?
You mean dialogue, right?
I had to say it...

Anyway, filler's useful as a setup, too. Sometimes the payoff wouldn't work, without it.

This isn't filler. I think the last few pages have spoiled us with such juicy plot development that we see the Sisters and Sons emerge and we just yawn. Oh well, here's to Thursday's page.

Seeing other pages some mages had larger ears I thought it was just a matter of shading / colouring with the skin-colours of the elves. Checking further into the pages, indeed, the change seems more obvious to me too.
You're right...Feel better now?

How are they at all similar to Klingons? Explain that.

Oct 7 2009, 01:50 AM
I sure hope they're not like Klingons, if they are the north is screwed, considering how they tend to spend most fights they're in getting knocked on their ass by the villain of the week because they can't be bothered to get their space flu vaccinations.
Jonath
Oct 7 2009, 01:52 AM
Yeah Klingons get hyped but in the end they never do much. At least Jaffa kick some ass when they're not being knocked down like bowling pins by SG-1
Rurik
Oct 7 2009, 01:55 AM
At least the Klingons do have kickass blades, though really it's hard to imagine why people advanced enough to have warp drives and photon torpedoes would even bother with melee weapons, aside from collecting them like modern people do with swords and knives.
Jonath
Oct 7 2009, 01:56 AM
Well the one bladed weapon that will always exist in some form is the knife. If you think about it all blades have a non combat use except the sword. Axes and knives are useful, swords not so much.
Rurik
Oct 7 2009, 02:04 AM
Yeah, it's more the big badass sort of crescent moon shaped swords the Klingons use. Sure it looks cool, but how much good is it really going to be fighting someone armed with lazers?

"Looks cool but is ineffective" is ironically also the perfect way to describe military use of lasers.

Two things: the confines of society (maybe a bit restrictive), or a literal prison, especially if it's a matriarchal society-still sort of an allegorical prison, but...

What's sad is that that's completely off topic and unprompted. If you feel like insulting me to nourish your self-esteem, please at least follow the rules and do it in JJ.
Thanks for your comment anyways.

my question: where was the bird?
There were none shown.
The Legara legion have been laying siege to the sisters temple for a while and patrol the perimeter to prevent people from getting in or out (it says something of Tah'vraay and the sons' skill that they got in undetected, unless they sneaked in via a plothole

), possibly with snares or alarms rigged as well.
It's implied that birds (and possibly/probably other small animals) have triggered the alarms or made the scouts and patrols raise the alarm before, apparently enough that the commander assumes that is what it is at first, that's all.

There's also the possibility of being a spiritual prison, we still have no clue what exactly the fusion
does, apart from make the women turn into blue elves. From what we see I'm wondering if the fusion isn't some form of a hive mind, fusing all of their minds and souls into one external source, and effectively making their bodies nothing but meat puppets.

*blink, blink, blink* Total blank. ROFL! A nod to Harry Potter, I see. Deathday, indeed; Nearly Headless Nick would be proud. And, of course, no reaction shot to the bondage scenario, or the shovel. It's left to our vivid imaginations.
All's well with the world.
