While I would have liked to see Cale and Benny as well, I think this is a good scene switch.
Anyway, I wonder if this is an attempt to purely escape, attack and escape, or outright attack.
If it's some kind of escape (the sons did have those hovering bubbles they made, so they know how to fly), how likely is it that Kethencia is their destination?
Also, what forces does the Legara army have at their disposal? Does it include aerial units? If so, just scouts or units capable of attacking from the air as well (I don't think so for the later)?
The Legara forces would likely try to pursue and/or attack to stop them... Do they have a fleet as well so they can pursue over water?
And yes, that statue does seem to have only one eye. No idea why. Anyone?

They have white dragons, not unlikely they magi can fly too i suppose.
