I don't think Richard is capable of love and if he is then it will be possessive love, not real love as defined by Aristotle.

Somehow I doubt Richard in his current form will ever do anything romantically inclined. Now if he gets returned to Lord Ashendale form there might be a case. I can see a restored Lord Ashendale getting together with Pella and ruling a fief on the outskirts of Kethenicia together.

You know rule 34 right? Well Rule 63 is like that but it states that for every male character there will be a female double and if it doesn't exist people will make art of it anyhow.

Well it seems rather likely that it's going to gain attention when someone sees one of them reattach a severed limb. And while Kethnicia will be relatively progressive, with the combined races and all, I imagine many will have a problem with the large number of undead. This will cause a civil war between the dead and the living and in the end Richard comes out on top as ruler of the world.

That's one scenario at least. I suppose it's possible for them not to have problem with the undead, since nobody seems to have a problem with Richard (except with all his killing that is).

The thing that saves Richard from karmic retribution is the fact he's a webcomic character, anything goes in webcomic land. You'll see the last strip will involve that kid who got away killing Richard.
Gaten's a pretty reasonable guy and I doubt he'd be too freaked out as long as the people of Richard's village are careful not to let on that they're undead.

Alright, I have to say this. By all that is unholy, there should never be a love relationship involving Richard, ever. First of all, he is undead and is incapable of even basic emotions, nonetheless love. Second, he is basically a walking corpse and (for the sake of my sanity) shouldn't have working reproductive organs. Finally, it goes against all that is awesome about Richard. He is a remorseless, insane, killing machine who cares for no one but himself. Why would you want to mess that up with love?

Character development? I know its a foreign concept to flat characters like Richard though.

Well. Considering that most people read this page by page, they need cliffhangers, because there is a 3 day break in between every page. But i agree, there should be plot and cliffhanger.

Character is fine in stories. We already get plenty of it from Cale, and to a lesser extent from others. In fact, we even gotten a little from Richard regarding his reasons for traveling with Cale. We're already getting a love story between Cale and Benny, we don't need one with involving a corpse.

Besides, Richard is awesome how he is. We all know that what makes him great is the humor he brings and his constant state of killing things. Sure, he doesn't contribute as much to the story, but what is wrong with that? He's the most popular character just as he is and honestly, is probably the best part about the comic.(in most people's opinions that is)

He loves himself. Isn't that all that counts?

I highly recommend that, when each chapter is completed, you go back and read through it all at once.
That way you get the intended pacing of the comic without the wait in between the pages.
