LOVE richard here. first, didn´t anyone else get the impression that he was trying to goad the bloodrage into spreading some mayhem? when that plan doesn´t work out, he´s just looking forward to getting his share of the goriness himself. totally hilarious, the eager pose with the pillaging shovel...
also, love it how the tables are turned this time: lil´ dick all innocent, while cale gets to do some real adult stuff. come to think about it, it is a logical step in the way how cale´s character development is handled! now he´s part of the "i did it"-club, which is most certainly an upgrade - and also another loss of innocence, although arguably the most pleasant.
this is part of the reason why i think romance might not be necessarily on the menu here.

also, i don´t think krunch will throw a fit here. if only because i feel he knows that benny is a very strong person and totally capable of taking care of herself. i don´t think she´d take very well to an over-protective cow here.

now, romance or not i wonder: will this shift the balance in the group?

plus, i´d love to see a scene where everyone share some knowing comments/looks, leaving only richard totally clueless - and then thoroughly irritated that his favourite puppy turns out to be more savvy in one area than him...

I think you're all not giving Richard enough credit. It's not so much that he's oblivious to sex nor that he's a virgin, but rather the first thing he thinks of would be homicide of course. To say he doesn't know about 'the birds and the bees' is assuming too much of him. It's not like he's an idiot. And he has been 'human' before - therefore I'm sure he lead some kind of human life.

As for Cale getting the crap beaten out of him...I don't think they'd mind all that much. Benny was engaged prior to meeting Cale so it's not like this is her first man encounter if you catch my drift. And as naive as Cale is, I don't think he's a virgin - even narrow-minded pixie boys get down and do the dirty...though they're not always women buuuut..

i´m surprised at how many folks here are a) speculating about a pregnant benny and basically the only reply to this is "she´s a priestess, she knows the herbs".
i mean c´mon ... forget the clichés for a moment! in real life, it´s about three days in a month where a woman runs the "risk" of getting pregnant when having intercourse... obviously, this is not a fail-safe method - but only in (bad) literature does one-time-sex equal instant pregnancy!

You'd be surprised how many a one night stand, even outside the female partners, 'conception time' ahve produced those little balls of cells called fertilized eggs.
