I wanna know what everyone thinks about this new development, and what the future holds in store for them! Personally, I love Benny/Cale, and as much as I want their relationship to last, I personally think this is going to be used at a later date, and Benny will become fatally wounded/killed, and Cale will take a turn down a dark road as a result... What does everyone else think?

For me this is the worst possible thing taht could happen to the comic, but while i HOPE this is ended ASAP, i know what happens when this starts, the slippery lop to the 'Plot eating lovers'

I hope that the authors realize their mistake and simply, jsut, never EVER reference this again, and therefore the relationship dies. But.. well.. i fear not.

My only argument against the idea that romance ruins plots is Order of the Stick... Elan and Haley got together, and at first it was a big deal, but now its integrated into the story and seems fairly natural. I hope this is how they do it in this comic. If they make too big a deal out of the relationship, it will surely lead to ruin

So if they do... i will likely go on a homicidal rampage and murder everyone in the universe. Keep that in mind Sohlar... keep that in mind.

I read LFG because it is both interesting and funny, not for a love story.

Right, Benny and Cale should NEVER EVER find happiness/love with anyone let alone each other. They should just live the of rest of their lives in loneliness and misery.

This is not a sudden thing. Cale is not angry that Benny 'tied him up'.(Cale's into S&M? Who would've guessed. Hanging around Richard too much). Cale isn't surprised or resisting the kiss either.

Cale is destined to be king and what is a king without a queen? Why not have a queen who fought by his side and shared the good and bad times with? Cale is getting closer and closer to being king. This just a sign of who the queen might be.

I have a feeling if she hadn't used the entangling branches or whatever spell Cale would have run to Richard screaming about how "She touched me in my no-nos!"

Better question should be is that even Benny??

Since when does Benny have nature spells for one, and 2nd when did she get pants? Did I miss something?

She's had those pants on before during the build up to the war. I really missed those pants. But enough of my ass fixation I think its less a nature spell and more a "life-manipulation" spell.

its a good point on ..is it really benny? when has she shown him any real affection? maybe its a trickster, who overheard cale and pella and is now seducing cale to do its bidding

She's professed to having "faith" in him several times before now. Really there's been no indication that its anything but Benny.

Also, whether or not they have a short or long term relationship doesn't matter to me. Just as long it develops the story-line.

Actually she's neither mage nor orc. She's a priest and her race is a mystery but if I had to venture a guess I'd say some kind of troll or troll hybrid.

I'm predicting Richard intervention at some point, depending on whether or not it was all a dreamXD and also I thought Benny was a 'female of unknown pedigree'

I think that she is just doing this to relieve some serious tension for herself and to shut Cale up.


They'll probably make out. Benny will join up with the rest of the group smirking triumphantly, krunch will probaly look at poor cale wandering up to the group all disheveled and with a goofy smirk and his clothes all asquewed and probably drag him off to have a fatherly "talk" of "Don't be touching my baby girl again or you die", richard will make some snarky comments and then never let Cale live it down for the rest of the trip, or be shocked that Benny would do that with Cale.

However, I could see this going the way of Benny liking Cale becuase he is nobel and a leader and she wants to be more nobel instead of doing it for money or just to kill time. Besides loathing usually leads to lust in most stories.


Side note...YAY NEW COSPLAY COSTUME FOR NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....I just have to figure out what shoes she wears....if she does....hmmmm

She say "still haven't lost that yet". It probably refer to him valuing every single lifes even if a few sacrifice can save many. This is his innocence that he should have lost when he killed the little boy (or tought he had) to save everyone else. Maybe there is no relationship at all and she just wanted to take a little bit more of his innocence.

If I was feeling particularly tawdry I'd say that she was referring to his virginity.

Honestly I don't think this is such a bad thing. It's a good pairing, all comics have some type of romance (Even if it is mentioned), and Honestly this is a great set up for Richard to come in a mess it up. I mean really has anything serious happened without Richard butting in with some sort of comic relief. Even when talking about killing innocent gnomes to serve Cales causes Richard comes in with an answer. It's just setting up for everything else to come. And hell if it does go on and the author subtle drops it in here and there well more for Richard to comment. =).

ok, here's my theory on the whole thing: Cale is recently acting like a jerk and seems to be working out all day and night!. Benny, being the great healer that she is, immediately recognized the problem: His balls are about to explode; dude needs some action before he starts to piss people seriously off. Or hump some trees or whatever.
So I'm saying the pressure she wants to take from his is to be taken literally...

What relationship? She's smooched with him once out of pity and, by her own admission, to try and relieve him of his conscience. It's a bit early to call that a relationship.
