yeah probably, but it would have been nice to actually see what the letter was about.

Well it was bothering me as well for a few days, perhaps a week, then I just forgot I guess. Now that I think of it, it is a bit weird. Perhaps it will be mentioned later, but I think it was forgotten for too long.

Yeah it was probably the most random thing to ever happen in LFG, it was even more random than the time they burst into song.

It was just a way to point out the ridiculousness of how people always manage to find hwho they are looking for a gainst all odds in media. ALL the time.

Granted but to forget about it completely is a major blemish in the otherwise pretty solid continuity of LFG

In that case there's a chance Richard sent the letter and when Cale read it it just read: "This is a distraction, distraction, distraction,...."

Maybe the monkey and ostrich were an illusion cast by Richard, to create a distraction? Granted, it wasn't actually lit on fire, nor did it explode, but maybe he didn't feel like doing something more elaborate at the time?
