Which is better.
The crunchy goodness of toast or the rugged awesomness of sandwiches.
Devin Austra
Both. Toasted sandwiches. Ham & cheese (Velveeta, Swiss or a good Havarti), Reubens, a BLT made with toast, plain old grilled cheese...
Bastyaan
There is a reason you can only choose one, Devin....

Devin Austra
Fine.

Sandwiches. Infinite variety.

But it doesn't say I can't make them with toast. tongue.gif
Jonath
Nothing matches the simplicity and timelessness of a warm, browned, buttered piece of toast.

OK, OK.

Sandwiches. Again, more variety. Also, they're easy and healthy depending on what you put on them.
Jonath
How bout Garlic bread? That's some goood toast.
Oh great now I made myself hungry.
hhh221
buttered toast is great.
Jonath
*As Isaac Hayes* you're damn right
Saraph
You spelled it wrong, it's spelled sammich

Toast.

Garlic butter toast.

MMMMM.
Jonath
But which do you prefer: Texas Toast or Italian Bruschetta? I can't decide, they're both great.
Bastet
its so hard to choose between the two but i prefer a sandwhich, but don't get me wrong toast is amazing! tongue.gif

Signature is still too big. Here's the rule on that:

5. Signatures.
--Signature images need to be restricted to 600x125 pixels and less than 50k in size.
--You may have multiple images in signatures, however they cannot exceed the 125pixel height or the file size.
--Text signatures need to be a little more contained than they have been. translation, tone them down. Many of the signatures make up the majority of a post, which just isn't right. So tone them down. I'd like to keep to a maximum of 6ish lines. I'm not gonna be strict on it unless it doesn't change.

A good size to use as reference is SC's sig...seeing as I made it myself >.>

As to the question, I say sanwiches are better. You can use toast to make a sandwich, but you can't use a sandwich to make toast tongue.gif

I voted for peanut oil with a saurkraut twist, I hope it wins!

The ironic thing about Garlic Bread vs Bruschetta is that Bruschetta was originally peasant's food while Garlic Bread was for the Upper Class. But along came frozen foods and cheap garlic bread became available while Bruschetta became a favorite appetizer and started being seen as "fancy"

toast is good if you add jelly but a sandwhich is always good and the random funny answers are always the ones people pick trying to be funny and they sadly fail , just like me

There might be a slight problem: these aren't distinct types of the same food category. Ex: cake and pie are both desserts.
However, with this discussion, each choice blends into each other: toast is, essentially, twice-cooked bread, and sandwiches are ofted made from toasted bread.

Therefore, I give you the grilled-cheese sandwich, and the panini: the children of toast and sandwiches, and possibly twice as awesome as their parents. smile.gif

I prefer Toast.

Bender voice: That's not ironic. That's just silly.

*cough* Now, on to the matter at hand.

I really don't like anything that is just bread on it's own, as I've mentioned in the Pie vs. Cake thread. There's only so much you can do with the toast in my (admittedly lacking) experience. But the focus of a sandwich is always on what's on the bread and that is why I prefer me a sammich.
