I'd like to see at least one character acknowledge the fact that her costume defies the laws of physics, unless of course she uses an entire bottle of spirit gum... then I guess it's possible, but very uncomfortable.

I agree, its like when in one of the Halo books they said that Master Chief has a gap tooth and freckles, disappointing. It would be better if they just show reaction shots of the rest of the group as they recoil in horror when Richard's exposed face comes into view, its funnier that way.

I do, but only out of morbid curiosity and I'm betting it would be hilarious too. But I don't want to see the entire front. I'd rather just see him covering his downstairs with his hands, a sheepish look on his face, and saying something like "Does anyone have a robe I can borrow? Oh never mind, I can just make one."

It's a sort of Rorshach deal, you know: 'I liked you a lot better before I saw your face' But by the same token I wouldn't Master Chief to be described as handsome because that would seem sort of trite.
I've noticed that there's still an uncomfortably large percentage of female (and gay male) Watchmen fans think Rorshach is attractive even after seeing him under the mask.

You can like a character and still come to terms with the fact that they're ugly as a rock. The avatar I use is a picture of Darkseid, he's my favorite villain ever but even if I were gay or a girl I still would have no problem in saying that I'm glad he's never been drawn shirtless.

No, no... I like how Richard /looks/ too. It has nothing to do with me liking him as a character (which I really, really do). I think he's attractive. Ahem... Uh, just ignore me, really. It's just me having a thing for undead, skeletal guys. Personally, I think I play true necromancers way too much in D&D.

What's there to see though? Think male forsaken faces. It's better we don't see his face because he's a lot cooler with the mask on. Like Spider-man and Darth Vader he loses all coolness when the helmet, mask, what-have-you is off.

The mask adds mystery, it adds the right for our imaginations to wander freely about his true appearance, no matter how much we try to think sensibly about it the mask means there is still the slightest chance that our wildest fever driven dreams could be under there, he could in fact look like Cthulhu or have a gaping chasm of a mouth that staring into would drive a man insane or he could have a great python made of fire and doom that would slither out of his face pouch to devour life as we know it, if the mask comes off and it turns out to be just some guys rotten face then that eliminates all possibility for wild speculation, which is way more fun and just adds to Richards awesome factor

I loved the TV series. Alucard's a great character because despite being invincible and unstoppable and thus rather uninteresting drama-wise he's got the style to make up for it. I've been meaning to watch some of the OVA for a while now.
