Well i'm a photographer, and i've also been a huge LFG fan since the first few comics.

I was wondering what legal implications there'd be of me working with a designer to make richards outfit (and other characters if the shoot was a success), and then doing a professional photoshoot with a make up artist and a model dressed up as richard in a studio. (then hopefully some awesome editing afterwards !)
Due to the latest strip, i'll also try and make bear arm props and go on a hunt for the fork of truth to use in the shoot Maybe not the kidney hat though ;P

Also although i do all my stuff as a hobby and i'd love to do this as it's something that i'd really enjoy, legally what would i be able to do to recover my studio, designer and make-up artist costs ? I usually try to sell prints on DA and such which doesn't even come close to covering costs really but it does help a little
Just curious on what i can and can't do really.

I was also hoping lar or sohmer their selves would stumble upon this and give me a definitive 'go ahead' or 'go ahead... and we'll sue you'.

Thanks, i just thought as it would be a fan art thing that it might belong it there, oh well.

I'd imagine they get hundreds of emails daily though, so i figured other fans can have an input on ideas this way and if they crawl the forums the thread 'legal implications' might pop out at them

Well Looking for Group and Least I Could Do is based in Canada, I don't know much on their copy right laws since I myself am American. Not even sure if it's the same or not. So I'd research on that and hope that they can contact you on it. Or hopefully one of the members here is more knowledgeable than me.(They better be)

That's exactly what the poster is doing, like, right now mate.

And Lar himself said Sohmer doesn't check the rest of the forums much. Which even though they get 1000s of emails. They must check them all, cause you never know what good thing might come from in that huge stack.

Right, although that is a lot of Email's to go through in one day lol.
