Eeee! Hehe

Okay, so I am perhaps more tickled by this than I should be, but I have been on a LOTR kick for the past few weeks (rewatching all the movies, playing LOTRO, re-reading the books).
And... the Fork Of Truth returns! I hope we're building up to something big... like, FwooshFwoom big

I was surprised to my friend. It looks like he has been taking good care of them though...I mean they are sooo shiny.

Perhaps it is simply catching the light for more drama...or maybe it glows now...either way I loved this page!!!

ROFLMAO AHAHAHAHAHAHAAH Richard you brilliant creature!!
That was great, i just love hoe he broke in with the pillaging shovel, and it was truly nostalgic to run through old ArtDickFacts (Richard Artifacts). I love how much he loved his kidney hat, and Richards facial expression when showing off the real kidney, an EPIC page overall.(I could care less about the LOTR refrence, it was all Richard on this page baby.)

Whis up with Richard and trying to give Cale that pillaging shovel? Back when they were going into Kethencia Richard offered to share it with Cale... <.<>.>
Interesting, methinks...

And poor Cale >.< He looks so alarmed in that last panel. Not to mention Richard's pose is so.... model-esque XD

I'm not sure why I find this page so funny. maybe it's the nostalgia of revisiting all of richard's items/weapons (except the bear skull hat) or maybe it was the pose he was in but this is right up there in my list of favorite pages
P.S I'm back >=D

Lol, i think you may be right, but i like to know what is going to happen we already know his kingdom is set he has everything he just needs the gnomes and i think we will see the rise of cale'anon king..
i really think that cale is shocked about all this, i mean he knows he is to be king doesn't he understand this?
Or is he just going with the flow to right which is wrong by helping people, and yes i been saying this for the last few threads he has everything to make strong kingdom happen and fight the north.
soh/lars i really CANT wait to see the battle and for cale to come out of his shock after all this

ok, hilarious things about this page:
a) all the completely useless stuff Richard carries around
b ) the way he ruins a serious moment/LOTR-reference
c) imho a good candidate for funniest thing ever: how Ray'd rips Toyk's throne apart just to prove his point! And not with his mecha-arm either!
QUOTE (Unathana @ Jul 5 2009, 10:31 PM)

Models (and teenage girls) only
wish they had Richard's figure.
And is it just I, or is this really the first time anyone's actually said "Hey, you're King" to Cale's face? I mean, sure, he's always sorta been the defacto leader, but I think he's still technically in a state of servitude to Gid. Resurrection oaths and all that. So this King thing might shock him just a bit.
You know, shock him more then the just now realization that pillaging shovels apparently follow the same proper holding technique as tea cups. Which is just like Richard. Always so proper.

Since Richard has done it, as pointed out by Wyr, now there is a new rule of edicit. Whenever holding shovels, especially pillaging shovels, one must ALWAYS keep your pinky extended away from the handle. Punishment for breaking this new Richard code of Edicit is torture, fwoosh, death, revival, torture, and then another fwoosh, and then death again, from the fwoosh.

LotR and Richard's growing collection. One word:
Roflcopter.
You can always trust Richard to steal the spotlight. And thereby make life awesomer than it already was.
I just wish we could have seen some bloodrange faces in the last panel. I want to know how they feel about being mocked.
And I've really missed squeamish cale. he's so cute! *pinches cheek*

While I think this page is hilarious, the biggest thing for me is how Richard with his kidney hat made me think of Mr. Burns whene he sings about making clothes from animals...
See my vest, see my vest,
Made from real gorilla chest...
Beret of poodle on my noodle
It shall rest...
He strikes the same pose as Richard when he's showing off his wardrobe.
Hmmm... Coincidence?

I actually just noticed, but tht is one big ass hammer that Krunch has there, i mean, it's almost as big as Cale when it's straight up.
And Ray'd should have said; 'You have my maces.' and Dorel seems a bit, i don't know, wimpy-ish with his 'magics' =P

Jul 6 2009, 04:58 PM
This page seem crammed with references...
LotR has already been mentioned by many, and Bunny Bones mentioned a quite possible reference to Mr Burns 'See my vest'.
The way Dorel looks and the fact that he's a mage/shaman reminds me of god/demigod Baphomet.
There's also Elfquest in panel 1 and of course the Sword Fork of Turth.

Hmm, you've got a fine point there. In fact, as a skinny, evil, very old guy there are multiple parallels between Richard and Burns and I can picture them moving/dancing in similar ways...
