Hmm, well the ones I watch the most right now are Bleach and Naruto. I've also watched Pokemon, Digimon, DBZ, and Deathnote. Some of them before I even knew what 'anime' was. I do like Code Geass, though I haven't watched it through and only seen episodes here and there. FMA is also enjoyable, though it isn't something I caught onto right away and have never watched in a beginning to end manner. I don't really read much manga for the fact that I don't care to read them online and can't afford to buy them. I also prefer dubs over subs as I like to understand what's being said. I don't usually notice anything wrong with the voice acting, course I'm not that observant. Didn't care for One Piece, but I think that's just cuz I was watching the 4kids dub. Should probably give the series another try sometime. Finally, if anyone is looking for something a bit different try an anime called "Mushi-shi." It's pretty mellow, but I find it interesting. Should be able to find it on hulu.

I like One Piece but i'm not sure if it's the 4kids one i'm watching, they swear now and then but then someone will say something so childish i really can't decide if it is or not, i'm leaning towards not but it's nothing particularly bad they say.
But the story is truly epic and it has brought a smile to my face more than a few times

I just started watching Gundam Seed, and I'm gonna start on Axis Powers Hetalia soon.
I really can't wait for the next season of Darker than Black.
Also, the new show from the guys who did Baccano I think it was, Dulalala. That show looks epic.
Oh god, and when Fairy Tail gets animated. I might die from the awesome.

Yeah, I agree with you about Gundam Seed that something seems off about it... I wouldn't say that it's a "kiddiness", rather that something about it rather annoys me somehow... Of course, the first gundam I watched was 00 Gundam, which I thought was pretty kickass.
As for Darker than Black... new season starts Oct.
8th, it's called Darker than Black: Gemini of the Meteor (or The Meteor of Gemini, I really can't remember right now...

) Supposedly it's taking place in Russia, rather than Japan. Which is a pity, I wanted to see more of the romance between Li Shengshun and Kirihara, especially because Saito had such a huge crush on her, despite being like, 10 years older than her.
Edit: Fixed

I don't watch much anime anymore, but between the ages of 11 and 18, I was quite the otaku.
Shows I've watched/would flip out over and go back and watch if they came out with any new content:
HunterxHunter - so much better than Naruto it's ridiculous. Love this show and the OVAs to teeny, tiny bits. Heard they came out with a dub recently and... I'm a little afraid.
Cowboy Bebop
Samurai Champloo
Gantz
Slayers
Ouran High School Host Club - I feel like such a girl for it too, but it was so CUTE.
Master of Mosquiton
And, of course, I'm all over ANY Miyazaki movie.
I never read much manga... Well, except a fair bit of yaoi... and yuri... and some ecchi/hentai- you know what? I don't think I need to share those titles...
My boyfriend adores Hellsing. I used to love Hellsing before I introduced him to it. Now I'm completely burned out on it. The same thing happened with Naruto, I think. I enjoyed it when it first came out then - BELIEVE IT! It hit America like a plague.

Watching Hellsing Ultimate right now, Darker than Black Ryousei no Gemini comes out in a week, too much epic makes my head explode. In other news, I probably won't watch the episode for a while after it comes out, simply because I'd like to finish Shikkoku No Hana before that... but the scanlators are being lazy as fuck. I'm pretty sure the series is done now, but only 6 chapters have been scanlated.

My suggestion is to give up on the first anime series and start watching Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
It follows the manga almost perfectly, and it's extremely well done.
My opinion of the first FMA series is that it was basically a shoddy plot, with little to no attention actually payed to what fans wanted to see from it.
Their decisions regarding how Homonculous are created in that series are simply annoying, and their "plot twists" at the end are so ridiculous it's unbelievable.
And then, the movie that they used to "tie it all up", was frankly terrible. I sat through it, and then kicked myself, even though I watched it for free.

No, probably not. I realized that it would spawn an addiction, so I used one of my emergency anime. The ones that I really wanted to watch, but decided to wait a while, until I finished watching the others I'd already started.

Well, I got bored this weekend, and picked up (youtube'd) the first season of Digimon (Digimon Adventure) in Japanese, and watched the whole thing from start to finish. Loved it as a kid, and I was amazed at how much was edited out. Plus a certain bird gave me a new habit, de aru.
I read (off and on) Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, No Bra, Claymore, Black Lagoon, and xxxHolic. There are probably others, but I don't really pay attention to the names. Shame really, it would make it easier to read them, if I knew what they were called.

Just recently go all caught up on History's strongest disciple - Kenichi. Started to watch the Anime, but stopped in disgust halfway through the first episode when they blatantly disregarded the plot. They condensed the first like, 4 chapters into one episode, and they didn't even do it in chronological order.
It was an absolutely terrible adaptation.
I'm hoping that Fairy Tail ends up being well done when it comes out, along with Break Blade.
Of course, I'm also really looking forward to when they finally decide to actually do a full anime of Dogs: bullets & carnage. That should be awesome.

No, it's not just you. I prefer it though because it's
almost like language immersion. You actually learn quite a bit of japanese that way if you try. I can actually translate snatches of conversation from japanese students at my college. It's pretty cool. I do much better in understanding spoken Japanese than understanding spoken Russian, which I'm actually taking... Kind of sad.
So started watching Ghost Hound last night. It seems like it's pretty good, might be worth finishing up.
I've gotta catch up on all the Chrome shelled Regios I missed, as well as the Valkyria Chronicles...
