Chapter One: Looking for something
It was another wonderful lukewarm summer evening and the birds in the trees sang sweetly. While the sun wet mildly on the country and seemed to set around a play of color from pink to orange slowly.
It was simply unbelievable.
"It is simply unbelievable. The mosquitoes suck out of my living body, my feet are in the mush and this revolting rotten smell still kills me!" Benny looked distrustfully at the marsh directly beside her from which constantly gas bubbles climbed up and burst with a Blubb.
"Have you not said somewhat of a way, Old Cow?"
"This..." Krunch interprets with a swinging movement of the hand at the mushy ground where everybody stood, "... is the way."
"Fantastic."
"Aye, but at least you guys not so deeply in it." answered Pella who was up to the knees in the mush.
"According to the map it is not wide any more."
"How far exactly?!"
"Maybe we should have procured for ourselves a guide." Cale informed of the other.
"Nonsense. We have a map that us leads directly to the temple." irritation devoted Krunch to the map again and he trudged resolutely further.
"He asks himself only from which century the map comes." Benny murmured crustily.
Benny twisted her eyes and also got on the way further, followed by Pella who had to fight a little bit more with the viscous liquid mucky-like mush.
Cale was just tired and had sunk into thoughts. He asked himself what they would probably find in this temple and whether he expected to find what they were looking for.
"Cale!" completely surprised from his thoughts, Cale slyly whirled around and could just put out brown something which flew at raving speed on Him and landed with a splash in the middle of his face. Everything became black around Him.
When he roughly wiped the mush from his face with a hand, he saw Richard standing before himself. "Why have you pelted me with mush?" asked Cale reproachfully.
"This is no mush, now it is your camouflage."
"Camouflage? Camouflage for what?" Richard moved up closer to Cale and whispered to Him, "For monsters."
"Monsters?" whispered Cale questioningly back and surveyed the area more closely.
"Yes they lurk behind the thick bushes, behind the next rock or directly in the musty mush..." he indicated at the mush in thick veil of mist, everywhere was covered. "... always hungry on lukewarm days. Their favorite food are elves so I have heard."
With these words Richard went joyfully of the way.
Cale hard swallowed. Somehow the area already seemed to Him even more unlikeable.
Quick he shook off the hideous thoughts. He patted Sooba and was glad he had someone he could always rely on.
Even as he itself turned to go, a voice suddenly squealed,"MONSTER!!!"
