Just a thread for anyone to post their wild, one-off ideas or questions in. Stuff like, Where did that Centipede in the bag come from? What were Richard's parents like? Why was Gid raised by Crunch?
Have fun.

the dead centepede came from a live cetepede, richard's parents were probably killed(by him), and Gid was raised by Crunch after richard burned down the orphanage she was staying at

The centepede? Easy-considering how cale is always (semi)unknowingly evil, he probably stepped in it right before he was dusted by Richard and the corpse of the centepede was scooped up in cale's ashes and put in the bag.

Richard killed his father... and probably his mother too because she wouldn't stop screaming "Whhhhyyyy!!!!" Over and over again after she saw her husband's corpse.
As for Gid being raised by Crunch, I agree with the idea that her orphanage attacked Richard, so he destroyed it in self-defense.

Why does Cale think he is so noble? He is a blood elf, but not a paladin...he is a hunter from the look of it...

Richard is an undead Warlock because he is an Undead Warlock. But that is only our guess as readers, until the author chooses to give us more information.
Point of interest, Richard didn't die, or appear to feel pain, when he was shot by an arrow, or when he was hit by two thrown knives.
I don't see any reason that Cale
can't be a Bloodelf, but again, it will be up to the author to tell us more about Cale's past in due course. It has been noted at the Wiki sight that there have been other evil elves in the reals of fiction.
Our mistake would be in assuming that the LFG world must be the same as Warcraft, "Sword of Truth," or any other fictional setting that we noted to be similar. It might be EXACTLY like Warcraft, but that is up to the author, and what information he chooses to let us know.

Sharing means more fun for everyone. Speaking of which...
How old is Crunch?
If he raised Gid...he must be a fair age.

you guys...THEY CALL HIM A WARLOCK in the comic. so there for, HE IS ONE.
lats time i read it they said, "don't warlocks usually have a pet, spirit or familiar bound to them" and which he replies that he did, but it ran away....he may not be undead..but Richard a warlock

WHY can't people spell "Krunch" properly, goddamnit!

Anyway...
Lets not forget that we've only had a few weeks of the comic and thats just not long enough to get to know any of the characters well. Personally I'd like to see Krunch's history unfold. I think he's the best-concieved character and worthy of the most detailed plotlines. When I say that I include Benny too since she is Krunch's effective step-daughter. Cale is a jerk, he really annoys me, therefore he is a good character. Sooba doesn't maul Cale often enough. I'm a bit indifferent about Richard, he is very funny though.
Contrary to popular trends around here, i tend to find myself thinking "What would Krunch Do?" to which the answer is frequently "Smash it with a 200lb battle hammer" or "Be enigmatic and pensive while effecting an air of awesomeness".

For the sake of argument... even though the comic is not based strictly on WOW. There are other Elves that look just like blood elves but still call themselves High Elves... There's a mage-trainer one in SW... and I believe there's a bunch of them in the Hinterlands... and a few other random NPC's here and there that I can't think of right now... but he could be one of those.

On that topic, Richard should kill Cale again sometime.

Because he looks like a zombie... and hes referred to as a warlock.
Also Cael thinks hes good and noble because he has 20 points in his delusion skill.

Okey we'll be vewy vewy quiet.
Speculating... why did Richard actually announced himself in the first strip? I think Richard is learning to appreciate life. As in it's so much cooler to just torture Cale endlessly than to kill him. Or perhaps just kill him and revive him again.
But I'd say Richard took that centipede from one of the drinks at the bar when he found out he could revive Cale. Then again, why did Richard put Cale's ashes in a bag... oh well, I guess it's all for good times. Heh.

I thought Richard was going to kill Cale and take some article of clothing, like a cape or something of the sort....
He probably decided to ask Gid to revive him because he accidently incinerated his spoils and still wanted to jack them.

Of course Richard only wants Cale around so he can mentally (and less often) physically since Richard himself said, indirectly, he's torturing Cale because he's bored
