Later last night on Saturday my brother decided to bring me some Popeyes (<3) and invite me to come to a Convention. I instantly thought money, costs for tickets, parking, things of the such. But to my great relief he stated that me, him, and his girlfriend can get in free. I asked him "How?" He said cause we are part of Amtgard, and the province of Crimson Moon has their own 30 minute demonstration there. A HUGE lay off my shoulders on the money problem. So we are able to just walk right in I assumed. I didn't get much details, but I realized, this is my first convention.

Where we are going is a Scifi/Fantasy Convention in Louisiana. I instantly thought, since comic books are also implemented there, some representatives of LFG would be there. But I distinguished the idea, since the thought of going to sohmer with this conversation would be quite interesting.

Me: "Hey, nice to meet you boss."

Sohmer: -Slaps with baby powder- "Your still mine slave! Now clear up that spam! -takes out a whip with a red bull symbol embedded at the handle-"


Well that's more for comedy but you get the picture, but I know it won't happen =)
But still this might be my first convention, I'll be sure to bring some pictures if anyone is even interested. And a little more information on where I went, I don't want a surprise visit from a fellow Formie, it won't be that I'd be weirded out. It be that you'd go insane in my presence =)

Anyway, I am also picked to Representative Amtgard, not the community as a whole. But as an advertisement. To be honest I'm nervous and scared, but I plan to put on a good show. =) I hope the convention isn't too rough, I'm still a convention virgin =P

Well I got some pictures and that Con tired me out X_x. So many poses for people taking pictures, doing fighting demonstrations. And being presented on stage due to my outfit. I say I looked TERRIBLE! After I was fighting, since it was so HOT! But here are some pictures I got from my end, I'll put more after I get some from my friends.
Also would like to note that I did meet a Forumie, not going to say who though =) Don't want to expose her. (Dammit I gave a clue!)

501st representatives, they wanted me to hop on the band wagon. And I might. I made a comment on each of the helments you see there.

-Points to each one- "You hunted me, you hunted me, you hunted me, I chopped your head off, -points to Imperial officer- and please don't shoot me, I have enough bounty hunters going after me. I had to beat someone with this -takes out a Gatorade bottle-"



This is the most awesome, detailed, but pitiful (not in looks but pity for the guy wearing it) costume I've ever seen. The guy has to look through these two holes, not the visor since his head is positioned different. So it was hard for him to see and hear people wanting to take a picture with him. I got to shake hands with him, and of course someone got a picture of that. Jedi shaking hands with one of the Galactica guys. (I was the jedi, I had the large hood)

I laughed so hard, i think i wet myself

but only cause it reminded me of the mages from Final Fantasy

Once we left and started heading home, for some damn reason I was locked from my house. But I realized I kept one window unlocked, so I had to do some assassin creed climbing up to my window and hop on. Unlock my door and allow my brother with his GF to come in.

We're still recovering from the large battle we had at the con for demonstration.
