So I've been working on a little project and after a few days I'm finally done. I made a video to the song Apologize by Silverstein. It's a story about a relationship between Richard and Cale, though it doesn't retell any parts of the comic itself, just uses the images.

I left the speech bubbles blank so that the viewer can make their own story to the pictures, but what I imagined when I created it was it starts out as the group preparing a surprise attack, then Richard, being himself, alerts the enemy and offers no help during the fight. Later that night Cale and Richard get in an argument over these events, Richard fwooshes Cale, then Richard leaves. After Cale wakes up he reminisces about his friendship with Richard, then in a dream he sees Richard in trouble with the Sisters. He asks Benny to locate him and they rush off to his aid. They find Richard at the mercy of the sisters, and though the sisters are defeated, it is too late to save Richard.

It's my first video, so it may be a little rough, and I was in a rush to get it done before bed so the timing isnt as good as it could be. I like it though. Feel free to use this thread to discuss the video. Feedback is welcome and encouraged!

(also, I'm pretty sure its fine but I hope this was the apropriate place to post this. After all, its not really art and its not a fanfic either.)

Yeah I used windows movie maker. It actually has alot of really neat effects, but I didnt use them cause I'm lazy :/

Do you by chance have vista? <.< Because that's the only way I can think of that anybody would call what wmm has "really neat effects"

i like the song,
but i think hte frames/comic strips should been more split up
and maybeee just maybe ya should have added some txt in your bubble for ur own story although i know u wanted the audience to come up with their own..

I've been thinking of adding text, but part of the reason I didn't was to give more significance to the end where he says "i'm sorry"

i think u shoudl add text to personalize the story a lil bit more

Don't add text! That'll detract from the way the pictures and the music match up *shakes head* You'd have to slow down a ton of the pictures so we'd have time to read it. No, no. The point of a music video is for the pictures and the music to tell the story, not the text

yeah thats another reason is the song is only about 2 min 45 seconds long so I didnt have alot of time for matching the pictures to the music

It would be cool if at the end, you had the panel where Richard goes "I accept your apology." Ya' know, if you wanted to put a happy spin on it. But it's still great how it is.
