Probably quite a random thing to ask about, but I assume that a lot of people here play video games so here goes;

Far Cry 2.

After having installed the Steam version of the game, I was prompted by a dialog box to update my graphics drivers. I ignored this the first time, and started a new game. Once the very first loading screen was in place, the game crashed after a little while. I then updated the graphics drivers as suggested, but the problem persists no matter what graphics settings or even which character I choose. It always reaches roughly the same loading point then crashes to desktop - no error message, just a straight crash. What can I do to resolve this? Any ideas?
Also, noticed in the fine print that the game supports; Nvidia GeForce 6800 / 7 / 8 / 9 series, GeForce 8800M / 8700M. I have a GeForce 8800GTX, could that be the problem?
