Why, oh why, am I picturing Richard checking off items in the Evil Overlord List?? biggrin.gif
Coatillion
I honestly don't think that Richard will betray Cale. I wish that he would laugh.gif . But... it think think that it is unlikely.

Lol, you are not alone in that.

Maybe he will appear to betray, but then comes back to save them or something for no other reason than he finds them all amusing.

I"m thinking no on the whole betraying cale/taking over Kethenecia idea. It just seems way too easy from a story standpoint. I think that although Richard will retain his morbidity, even his love for killing, he's going to have to learn where to draw the line. The chance WILL come, but wether he crosses that line or not is anyones guess. I like a funny anti-hero as much as the next guy, but the best part about anti-heroes is that they are often still heroes in thier own way, and the whole "kill em' all for no reason" thing denies a huge opportunity story-wise and i think the comic is better than that. Besides! After the whole mistaking Richard for a baby incident, i highly doubt Kethenecia's current residents has much experience with the undead, and therefore wouldn't be very upset about it in the first place. Although with what happened AFTER the Richard baby incident, i could be wrong. tongue.gif

Richard'll do whatever the hell Richard wants.

Nobody puts Richard in a corner!

I think that Richard will destoy kethenacia, mainly cause the living their now will not like them living there and revolt. Or at minimum slaughter all of the people, but not before, the bunny/archmage reveals himself at the last minute. Epic magic battle ensues, then they'll probably pull a Star Wars^™ Parody.

"Richard... I am your father" ?

feel free to voice a counter opinion if you wish... I don't really care

People seem very optimistic, everyone is buting the 'happy' ending. laugh.gif

I am voting that Maikos will move in with his undead buddies into Kethenecia and act peacefully towards Gaten. Then when they are least expecting it he will kill everyone in the city just to screw up Richard's plans. He will then use his army of darkness to destroy Legara and Richard and CO. Then the world shall see a new kind of evil.,..mwwhaha.

Disclaimer: I do not truly believe anything above and only typed it for shits and giggles. Hehe

and as to the Evil Overlords list thing...I can see him doing that.

See, that is exactly why i included that last option laugh.gif

And i highly appreciate it BoLE...watch how much do you want to bet that it happens now just because I joked about it...
Phiknight
Yeah, I don't think he'll become the big-bad. It just seems to easy. Richard is to Laissez-fwoosh to try to actually take over the world.

Heh, "Laissez-fwoosh."

On that note... I dunno. I really don't see Richard as having any interest in taking things over. He seems to be more the sort to like personal power (like his personal aptitude for magics) than power and governing. Sure, he's the mayor of Pretty Pretty Unicorn village, but it's not like we've seen him spend much time there. The only time he seemed to have any interest in returning to the village was when his source of power was threatened. He likes having titles for the sake of having titles, not because he has any real interest in fulfilling the responsibilities associated with those titles.

Besides, how would betraying Cale and the others do anything good for his boredom? If he's following the gang out of boredom, as he says, then simply killing them and everything else in his path just sets him up for more boredom in the long run. He likes to kill things, yes, but he seems to have gotten to a point where killing things in terrible, macabre, and hilarious ways has become routine. Following the same old routine you've been following for however long you've been undead isn't really the best way to alleviate your boredom. And seriously...since he's been with Cale and the others (the Sooby-Gang?), Richard has already: pissed off the Legion several times; found a constant source of amusement in Cale himself; been temporarily enlisted in a Gnome army; found a mythical City of Justice; gone back in time in said City of Justice; been transformed into a cute, childlike form; committed an act of selflessness in said childlike form; been trapped in the Plane of Suck; endured a trial set up by lesser demons; been involved in a war for the North; and admitted that he has gained a destiny. We don't know what his life was like before Cale, but it seems like it's been pretty interesting since!

And really...if he was going to try to take over Kethenicia, I would imagine he'd want to store his source of power far away from a site of battle as possible.

Beware, here be a wall of text.
Graeystone
I don't think he will. His image(kind of) is on the prophecy statue. I think the worse he would do to the Group is cause events that makes everyone go their own way or something for awhile.

I think 2 things:

1st: Richard know the bunny is the archmage, and is toying with him.

2nd: uh ... forgot the 2nd ..

Lol, a little late on that first thing

Richard? Betray Cale?

Not in a hundred years. It's more likely that Ray'd would lose his arm than......oh dear.

I wouldn't put it past Richard to take it, but that would kind of put him inthe position of Big Bad for a story arc, and as much as he'd enjoy that, he'd rather wait until everything was as good as it could get before striking.

I dont think he will betray them

I think hes actually helping them but in a way they really wouldn't try it

I dont rly see richard as entirely different then the rest of the group expect hes more of the rebel or "batman" aka the vigilante

i assume thats your way of saying hes can do what he wants when he wants
I agree, But i think he has a plan.
The Bunny
Remember guys, he has a destiny. Below his surface of childish behavior and senseless evil, he is following a path whose roots lay way back in his past and somehow connected to his father. I do not think Lord Ashendale has any interest in taking over the world. What he does want though, I do not dare to guess...
