Those of you who follow my twitter are aware that last week, we soft launched a Richard-themed browser add on for Firefox. As the launch went quite well (only a few small explosions), we wanted to open it up fully to see if we could get the rest of the kinks out.

To download the theme, and for more information, follow this link.

Your feedback is much appreciated, and please let us know any suggestions, issues etc that you may have in the forum, with this very thread.

I am using it and I will say my browser is now the sexiest thing on my computer, next to the background of mini-Richard, of course.
pope
It sets the default search engine to Yahoo!

Needless to say, I am not using the Richard theme.

changing it to google makes google the new default. not. hard.

btw the theme is quite fancy, not sure how work appropriate it is to have a demon for a browser...but it stays up till someone complains biggrin.gif nice work!
Wolfgang Hype
Darn it. It seems I have to download version 3 in order to use the browser, something I have refused to do up until this point. I'm not sure that even Richard is worth switching.

On a similar note, is the spell check on v3 capable of recognizing contractions as words yet?
Gneekman
Some annoyances to note:
• Doesn't skin the StumbleUpon toolbar
• Makes the status bar (bottom) too short - icons placed there by other add-ons hang over the edge

Relevant system info: Mac OS X 10.5.6, Firefox 3.0.10
Valekai
Only problem i have is that one of my add-ons has a white border now on the button, no biggie, i can fix that myself.

Both my add-ons with buttons on the status bar look fine, seems the same size as normal to me *shrugz*

Besides that, I'd suggest more colorful buttons for Home, New Tab, and all the other grey buttons, they look out of place next to the green and red ones on here already.
Also, a template for basic buttons would be nice so that we can replace the buttons for our add-ons with something closer to the scheme.
Masenken
I'm diggin' it... love the color scheme, and easy to read, but like Valekai suggested, making the home button a little brighter will help make it more easily identifiable... other than that, no real complaints smile.gif
Manetheren
I am loving this browser! Richard and hctibelttil on my screen 24/7 you just cant beat it.
Crypticorchid
I think the theme looks awesome!

I did have a problem with the items bar not being skinned. It's a big gray block in my screen not very pretty. Some other toolbars I tried out didn't skin as well. I also think more colorful buttons for new tab and print would be great.
Hexeter
Awesome, that's all there is to say. It looks amazing. Now my FF actually looks fun as well as being the best damn browser out there!
Ichneumon

Diablo
i love the new browser.
Kimira

I had to set my theme back to default, then on the right hand side of the LFG bar there is a boom icon, click this icon and pick show big boom. That's how I got it to work.
Nyeph
Love the evil browser! Thanks much for all the fun stuff you guys make for your fans! <3<3

O_O

Ive been using Firefox, and have so far deemed many of the themes a waste of time (though Mario was amusing for a while, but too bright for me).

I put off bathing for the moment to download the Richard theme.
And I'm relatively happy with it so far. I had to hide both my Facebook toolbar (hardly used it anyway) and my StumbleUpon (only use it when extremely bored) so I wouldn't be overcome by annoyance.
Also, it provides a wonderful contrast to my Plane of Suck desktop....though I might just change it now. Why I never noticed the Richard tattoo in the backgrounds section both baffles and shames me.

Aside from that and the Yahoo! thing that didn't even bother me, just changed it to Google in the little search bar (but it sending me to Yahoos! when I open a new empty tab is only slightly annoying to the eyes), I'm happy.

All you need to complete the transformations of everyone's computers is a mouse pointer and a screensaver. biggrin.gif

MUAHAHAHAHHAHAAH!!!!!! *rubs hands together* Excellent!!!
Spiritweaver
Now all we need is a Windows theme to match the epic browser. My desktop's starting to look wimpy in comparison.
Skyrere
Fan-freaken-tastic!!!
I downloaded FF just so that I could have an evil browser.
Thanks guys!
Evil socks...
Evil Browser....
What's next?
Evil Undies?
I kinda like that idea... hehe.
Lunaya
Got it. Love it. Keepin' it.

Now, a Richard theme on iGoogle would really make my day(and homepage) a helluvalot awesomer!!!
Silge
Awesome theme!
Only... why are there two search bars? One in the LFG toolbar and one in the normal toolbar.. Seems like a waste of space to have the second one that only works yahoo.. huh.gif
Furthea
I like the looks but I seem to be having issues with the tab bar. Normally when I open a large number of tabs it gives a scroll option. For some reason my tabs are now extending beyond the right side of my screen so if it does have the scroll I cant see it.

In fact, in any of my web pages that don't extend the entire width of my screen the entire display is shifted to the right and no longer centered.
Captain Hammer
I absoltely love the browser. My only concern is the color choices used for the navigation buttons. the forward/back buttons are to close to a red which makes me immediately want to press it to stop the page from loading. Maybe a nice blue (since richards loves to butch people with fire and COLD) and really get the home button to stand out more, it just fades away.

besides that, once again i absolutely love it, and im going to be using this badboy till you guys either make something even more awesome, or firefox does something so terrible I have to stop using FF.
HampsterC
This is awesome smile.gif
But. There should be somekind of switch where you can enable the buttons you want.
That extra web search could be removed and those home, archives, media, forum... buttons should be able to get rid off.
Ishdakitty
I'm fond of it, but I have one minor artistic gripe.

When you open a second tab and on, there's suddenly a white line one or two pixels wide that opens under the actual tab and over whatever page you're scrolling through.

Minor, but very annoying when the rest of the theme is dark and shaded, and suddenly there's this thin line screaming "FFFFFF" over the page you're scrolling down.

If that's going to be fixed, I'll probably keep it, if not I'll be going back to redshift.
Gem
I LOVE this browser!!! laugh.gif

Just a minor point, more of a question really: How do I change my grey add-ons to fit the rest? It doesn't look evil enough... biggrin.gif

I agree whole-heartedly, we need a mousepointer!

Hmm...odd, I keep getting told that this isn't compatible with Firefox 3.0.1.0 and that it's not a valid installation package.

Bad page load?
Enalia
I'm having an issue with it not showing up on my extensions list. I saw someone else had a similar problem, but apparently he had an icon for Studio Boom. I don't even have this. I've tried to install multiple times, even tried turning off all other extensions. Anyone?
dracornin
i loves it! but.... my stumbleupon toolbar does not. huh.gif any idea if there's a way to make those mesh? cause then you'll have a very happy me....i cant live without my random search crack.
Raevyn
hey, i absolutely love the richard browser!!!! i was excitedly showing it off to my boyfriend and he thought it was cool too, and wanted to know where he can get a benny one?

You can use the toolbar options to turn off the entire LFG toolbar. Unfortunately this affects the overall aesthetics of the thing but it's what I am doing until I find a way to remove that second search bar.
[View -> Toolbars -> Looking For Group Toolbar]

I haven't noticed this multiple tab, white pixel line people have mentioned and Looking for Group Boom 1.0.3 shows up in my addons -> extensions list fine.
Oh my tab scroll button shows up fine too, it's quiet dark and hard to notice though.

Aside from my issues with the second search bar (which are negligible) this theme is a brilliant shade of evil, it matches my drapes and blood spatters nicely.

Id nearly kill for a Richard Windows theme ,all of the ones ive found so far are worthless. (obviously because there is no Richard on them )
Indignant
Yeah, my only complaint is the small white line that's already been reported, that it isn't compatible with some of my other apps (graphically: I have ForecastFox, and the text is black on black and red and All-In-One-Sidebar, where 3 buttons get morphed, but that's it) and I would really like if we could skin the scrollbars. That would make it all the more epic!

I really like this...I don't typically use themes, but I may have to for this!
BanrionTine
I have a google toolbar add-on and it's still all grey sad.gif
Ravus
I love how this looks, the graphics guys should be given huge props.

i wont be using it however, far too much yahoo nonsense hidden in what is basically a -theme-. The chances are you guys got paid to bundle all this yahoo stuff in and you guys getting paid is fine by me. still slightly disappointed, a theme should change the looks and the looks alone.
Furthea
I checked again to be sure it wasn't a minor glitch fixed by restarting.

The tab bar itself extends beyond the right edge of my screen, I can see half of a tab. It's as if my screen should be half an inch longer. I'll do a print screen and post a link here so you can see what I mean.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/Fur...ThemeIssues.jpg

You can see where the width balance is off, and you also can see the white line, though I likely wouldn't have noticed it myself save other's mentioned it.
SmallFlower
I installed the theme yesterday. Since then, my computer (at work) has frozen and crashed a total of 6 times.

Just ran a malware scan and found 11 objects. Beware.
Slyder
Any chance of seeing a LICD browser as well? waking up and surfing the net would be a greater experience if Rayne where involved me thinks. smile.gif
Megami
I love this theme. I have been searching for a good theme to use for a while now and resorted to using a plain black one. The LFG one is soooo much better. Seeing Richard every time I log on makes the internet so much better. x3 Thanks!

Are you sure they were associated with the browser? Just ran a few scans on Vista and it didn't pick up a thing.
