The Archmage stared into the shadows where someone was standing waiting for the old Mage to speak.
"This is the item I want you to deliver to Cale'Anon and his friends, if they hope to stop what lays before them then they will need the item in this scroll." The Archmage said holding out a scroll to the person hidden in the shadows. A skeletal hand reached out and took the scroll.
"What is so dangerous about this, thing, that Legara is trying to resurrect?" came a calm and collected voice.
"You shall see soon enough, now go, the longer we take the less chance we have of overcoming it." The Archmage said.
"Very well." the voice said again walking through a portal he had opened behind him.
""Is it wise to trust someone like him with this sort of task?" The Watcher asked.
"We have no other choice." The Archmage said.
"Thus it was written, thus it shall be." The Watcher said.

Cale and his friends approached the border to the forest. The group had been walking for days trying to find a small camp of bandits that had plagued a nearby village. The village had offered to pay them for taking out the bandits that had been stealing their live stock among taking young girls as prisoner. Cale had declined at first feeling that saving the village was reward enough but after much persisting from the Village Mayor he finally took the offer. Richard walked up the tree line and his hands fwooshed into fire.
"Let's smoke them out then slowly drain their blood." Richard said ready to set fire to the trees.
"Don't think about it Warlock, we need subtlety here." Krunch said.
"Oh come on, it's been days since I've gotten to kill, maim, or destroy anything." Richard pleaded.
"Quiet, something is heading our way." Krunch said. The group ran into the forest and hid behind various trees. Krunch had chosen a tree that allowed him a good view to see what was coming to them.
"For Pony!" Richard cried out jumping out and throwing two fireballs at whomever before Krunch could even see the intruder. Cale's reaction suited how the rest of the group felt as well as Cale slapped the palm of his hand to his face.
"Why am I not surprised." Cale muttered to himself. Richard's fireballs flew toward the stranger but was halted shortly after by two bolts of frost which collided with them in the air causing the fireballs to simply go out while the frostbolts melted into steam. Richard looked toward the intruder who still wasn't fully visible with a look of annoyance and confusion on his face...

Cale and the others came out from behind their trees with their weapons drawn, ready to face what was most likely an enemy.
"Who are you?" Cale demanded of the man still hiding in the shadows. The man stepped out of the shadows and the group stared at him in shock. He resembled Richard on so many levels. He had neck length blue-green hair though and where his eyes were were glowing yellow spheres. He wore a blue robe with red trim and red x style pattern that reached from his shoulders down to the bottoms of of his robe and a purple sash. His gloves were fingerless and blue as were his boots. He also wore a cloak that rivaled even Cale's that was a dark purple in color.
"Oh, this is interesting, you're a Mage." Richard said seemingly unimpressed unlike the rest of his companions. The person looked at Richard and simply nodded.
"Who are you?" Cale asked again.
"My name is Xzistance and I have a gift for your Cale'Anon." he replied. His voice was calm and collected and sounded like he didn't have a care in the world. He reached into one of the interior pockets of his robe and produced a scroll which he handed to Cale. The group formed around Cale as he unrolled the scroll.
"It's a map." Cale stated simply.
"You've been putting points into your stating the obvious skill again haven't you." Richard taunted.
"Let me see it Pinky." Krunch said. Cale nodded and handed the scroll over. Krunch studied it for several minutes.
"This is interesting, it's a map leading to what is known as the Cave of Trials." Krunch said.
"Aye, I heard of that place, supposed to be a true testament to dwarf craftsmanship." Pella said.
"What is this Cave of Trials?" Benny asked.
"It was a labyrinth built inside a cave to guard an artifact from the Old World known as the Ring of Fate." Krunch replied.
"Why have you given us this?" Cale asked turning his gaze to Xzistance.
"Legara is trying to resurrect something from the Old World and apparently that ring is the only thing that can stop it." Xzistance replied. While the others were distracted with the scroll Richard had sneaked up behind Xzistance with his hand on fire and reached out to set Xzistance on fire. Xzistance turned on Richard before he could accomplish his goal and using his right hand fired a small mist of ice at Richards hand that blew out the flame and encased his hand in a block of ice. Xzistance looked down at Richards hand and simply smiled as Richard made his was back to the others plotting his revenge on the cocky mage...

"Well, I guess let's take of this bandit business then try to find that cave." Cale said.
"Be wary Cale, chances are that others are seeking the artifact as well." Xzistance said.
"Thank you for bringing us this." Cale said as the group started to move.
"I am going with you." Xzistance said suddenly. Cale stopped abruptly and turned to face the Mage.
"I think my powers will be valuable to your cause and besides, I owe Legara some payback." Xzistance said. He then looked to the sky.
"Alurei." Xzistance muttered sadly to himself low enough that no one could hear him. With a nod from Cale they moved deeper into the forest. The group made it to the center of the forest when Krunch decided to open the scroll and look at it again.
"What's wrong Old Cow?" Benny asked.
"This area is marked on the map for some reason, it doesn't say why though." Krunch said. That's when a booming roar shook the ground they stood on and echoed through the forest. Before they could prepare a monstrous like bear leaped out of the tree line. He stood easily thirteen feet tall and looked like he easily weighed over a thousand pounds. He was missing patches of fur all of his body with scars to match including a scar covering his right eye which was closed.
"Hi there." Richard said approaching the bear. The bear leaned in to Richards face and opened his mouth followed by a roar that threw Richard back several feet.
"Now was that really necessary?" Richard asked igniting his hands. The bear bounded toward Cale who drew his swords in response. The bear brought a massive claw down on Cale who brought his swords up to block. The power of the bear broke through and Cale was hit on the head hard knocking him to the ground. Pella leaped at the bear with her Axe while Krunch charged him ready to swing with his hammer. The creature spun and caught Pella by her free arm and using her momentum tossed her into Krunch with such force it sent both of them flying into a tree. Benny fired a magic spear from her mace which barely penetrated the bears hide. The bear roared in response and back handed Benny sending her flying into the the air followed by a hard crash to the ground. The last two standing now were Richard and Xzistance. A blue mist surrounded Xzistance's hands much like Richard's fire surrounded his. Xzistance threw two frostbolts at the bear which froze the bear in place. Richard then leaped at the bear as it roared and threw two fireballs into it's mouth. The bear roared in agonizing pain but kept standing.
"Gee you're persistent." Richard said. Xzistance drew a sword from his side and leaped at the bear. Richard set the body of the bear ablaze as Xzistance came down on top of the bears head cleaving through the bear. The bear started spurting blood all over the place from the wound as it fell in half spraying the ground with its blood and innards. The shocking thing though was that the bear was still alive. Richard walked over to the bear and toasted its remains to nothing more than ashes.
"Richard for the win!" Richard cheered. The others had finally recovered to their feet finally and walked over to the remains.
"What was that, it was really strong." Cale said still feeling a bit fuzzy headed...

Krunch noticed something glinting on the ground near the ashed remains of the bear monster. He kneeled down and picked it up. It was green in color and spherical with an odd sort of writing on it.
"What be that?" Pella asked.
"I'm not too sure, we had better hold onto it though, it could be important." Krunch said.
"I will carry it." Xzistance said. Krunch looked over at the Mage unsure.
"You can trust me, I am not like another amongst this little... crew." Xzistance stated looking at Richard.
"I resent that remark." Richard said with a little sarcasm faking a hurt look. With a nod Krunch handed Xzistance the sphere who put it away in one of the pouches tied to his sash.
"Anyway, we should be near the bandit camp, let's get this over with." Cale said. The group headed a little deeper into the forest where they finally spotted the bandit camp. There were tents set up at various points with a cage wagon sitting near the center. In the center were several bandits around a camp fire. The most notable bandit was a hulking looking brute. He was shirtless with ripped up shorts. He was a pile of muscle and scars and his skin was orange in color.
"Any ideas?" Cale asked.
"We will need a distraction, all we have to do is take out the leader and the others will most likely run." Krunch said. Cale nodded to mention something to Richard who was gone. Before even turning around Cale smacked the palm of his hand to his face. After taking a deep breath he turned around and found Richard surrounded by bandits near the cage wagon.
"Let's tear him apart boys." one of the bandits said.
"Tear him apart, I like the way you think." Richard said. With a grin Richard reached out and literally tore one of the bandits apart limb from limb. The others leaped at Richard but met a grisly demise as well. Richard either melted the skin off their bodies, set them totally ablaze, or froze them ice then shattered them. Before long the remaining bandits stood behind their leader as Cale and the others came out of hiding. Cale ran at the bandit leader who stood before them with confidence.
"Release the girls and we may spare you." Krunch said. The leader looked at each of them in turn then produced a hardy laugh.
"Why are you laughing, my friend here single handedly slaughtered half of your forces." Krunch said. With a deep battle cry the bandit leader charged Krunch with a giant mace . Before he even got near though Xzistance tossed a frostbolt at the bandit freezing his feet to the ground. Then with a running leap Cale beheaded the bandit leader with his twin swords. The bandit leader fell over dead and the remaining followers dashed off into the forest. Cale sheathed his swords and kneeled down getting the key to the cage wagon. The group walked over to the the cage wagon and the missing village girls sat huddled together terrified for their lives. With a grin Cale unlocked the door.
"You are safe again now my ladies." Cale said trying to be a gentleman to assure the scared girls they were in safe hands now...

Comma should not be there. Either delete it, or if it's there for the purposes of a verbal pause, replace it with the triple dot.

Yeah, typos are easy to come across when your involved in writing. You just get so absorbed into it you just don't pay attention till someone else points them out to ya, but yea, I will try to pay more attention.

The group returned to the village with the missing girls in tow. The village Mayor welcomed the traveling companions with a hearty smile.
"Thank you kind strangers, on top of the gold I owe you tonight we have a feast in your honor." the Mayor said. That's when one the girls ran up to the Mayor and embraced him in a tight hug.
"Daddy!" she exclaimed breaking down and crying. Cale noticed however that Xzistance had a look of hurt and sadness on his face. With a sigh that no one but Cale noticed Xzistance stalked away from the group.
"Come, we must prepare a feast." the Mayor finally said after calming his daughter down. Before Cale could break away to go talk to Xzistance the Mayor placed a strong arm around Cale and lead him into his house followed by the others.

That night the village Mayor lived up to his word and threw a feast for the traveling companions. The feast was grand in its design with various different types of food, singing, music, and dancing. The food the village had produced was plenty and was delicious. Krunch and Pella had engaged in an eating contest with both of them still going at it. The only one not enjoying them self was Xzistance who was sitting out by the village gate lost in thought. The only thing to disrupt him was a friendly hand on his shoulder. Xzistance looked up and saw Cale.
"What troubles you friend?" Cale asked joining him.
"Nothing of importance." Xzistance said trying to sound like nothing was bothering him. Cale just gave him a long hard look and Xzistance knew Cale wouldn't go away till he was given a truthful answer.
"It happened so long ago, someone of was taken away from me, it was before I turned." Xzistance said. Cale stared at Xzistance waiting for him to go on.
"I was too weak back then to do anything, it was because of that incident that I became what I am now, I embraced the Dark Arts to become stronger, to never let anything like that happen again." Xzistance said.
"Who was it?" Cale asked showing genuine sympathy.
"Her name was Alurei." Xzistance said bowing his head...

*thunderous applause* Beautiful! X's depth just multiplied quite a bit, I sense a long and tragic story.
Also, I was listening to the braveheart theme while reading this, and just when I read that Cale was putting his hand on X's shoulder, the music burst out into the majestic and tragic part and it suited it. O-o

Cale felt a twinge of guilt at making Xzistance remember something terrible but he couldn't back out now, he wanted to know more about his new companion.
"Who was Alurei?" Cale asked gently.
"Alurei is, or rather, was my daughter." Xzistance said. After that statement Cale swore that if the Mage could cry that statement would have caused him to. Cale winced in response because he knew now he really shouldn't have pried.
"I don't even remember how long ago its been now, Alurei was a sweet kid, so full of life and energy, back then I was a simple apprentice blacksmith training to be in Legara's army and my wife had died giving birth to Alurei, my village was on the outskirts of the kingdom, it happened one night suddenly, some of Legara's more brutish officers attacked the village and set it ablaze, I rushed back home and found my daughter inside our burning house, the woman who was watching her for me had died when the fire initially started, I took my daughters hand and led her outside only to be stopped by a Legara General named Falkion, he demanded to know where my loyalties lied." Xzistance explained. He stopped and sighed then looked into the air.
"I told him that I renounced my allegiance to Legara for attacking my home and killing innocent people and he told me that I would suffer and suffer I did, he climbed off his steed and yanked Alurei away from me and knocked her to her knees, I pleaded and begged with him to not hurt her and let her go and all he did was laugh before raising his sword and stabbing her through her young, innocent heart, with a helpless look still on her face she fell to the ground, dead before my very eyes, I collapsed and crawled my way over to her and took her into my arms, Falkion told me that he would let me live because that way I would suffer more and rode off, I held my innocent Alurei in my arms for hours if I recall before finally taking her out to a small forest and burying her there." Xzistance continued. He then bowed his head and closed his eyes. Cale realized he had caused the Mage much pain and decided to leave him to his thoughts and rejoin his friends at the festivities to clear the images from his head that he gathered from Xzistance's story.

Xzistance explained. He stopped and sighed then looked into the air.
"I told him that I renounced my allegiance to Legara for attacking my home and killing innocent people and he told me that I would suffer and suffer I did, he climbed off his steed and yanked Alurei away from me and knocked her to her knees, I pleaded and begged with him to not hurt her and let her go and all he did was laugh before raising his sword and stabbing her through her young, innocent heart, with a helpless look still on her face she fell to the ground, dead before my very eyes, I collapsed and crawled my way over to her and took her into my arms, Falkion told me that he would let me live because that way I would suffer more and rode off, I held my innocent Alurei in my arms for hours if I recall before finally taking her out to a small forest and burying her there." Xzistance continued. He then bowed his head and closed his eyes. Cale realized he had caused the Mage much pain and decided to leave him to his thoughts and rejoin his friends at the festivities to clear the images from his head that he gathered from Xzistance's story.

Xzistance withdrew the sphere that Krunch had entrusted him to hold onto and examined it closely.
"This looks so familiar, where have I seen this before?" Xzistance mused to himself trying to forget the story he had just told. He examined it closer and it came to him.
"This is a relic from the Old World, it is one of Six Sacred Spheres." Xzistance exclaimed. He then remembered back when he researched the Old World. The Six Sacred Spheres were created by the Ancients to control the power of the Mystic Dragons who were needed to stop the Dark God Tiranous. After the Mystic Dragons had defeated Tiranous they were sealed within in the Ring of Fate and hidden in the Cave of Trials to be protected until they were someday needed again.
"Now it appears that time has come." Xzistance said with a sigh because he knew that meant traveling near his destroyed village and the forest where Alurei was buried.

The party was dieing down for the night with Pella being declared the winner of her and Krunch's eating contest. Krunch saw it in a different light though and declared he would have a rematch with her someday. The Mayor offered them free lodgings for that night so they could rest well before setting off for the Cave of Trials the following day. The night started out smooth with everyone asleep until one of the inn maids ran into Cale's room.
"My lord, an army approaches." she said scared. Cale sat upright and quickly got dressed then went to wake his friends. The group still tired from the night before stood at the village gates. A sever thunderstorm had entered the area and the rain was so extreme it was hard to see three feet in from of you. The group stood at the village gate with weapons drawn ready to confront the army. The man leading the army stopped and dismounted his steed and approached the group.
"You dare stand before Legara, this village has been harboring fugitives and traitors, it needs to be cleansed." the man said.
"That voice!" Xzistance said with utter disgust. The man looked over at Xzistance as a flash of lightning lit up the area allowing Xzistance a good look at the man.
"Falkion!" Xzistance said with pure hate and rage. Falkion examined Xzistance for a moment.
"Why do you seem so familiar?" Falkion said.
"How is it you still live?" Xzistance demanded.
"Ah, one of Legara's secrets, the art of resurrection, it is very lovely, now explain to me how you know of me." Falkion demanded.
"Let me refresh your memory, a small village on the outskirts of Legara, a little helpless girl." Xzistance spat. Falkion stroked his beard for a moment then it dawned on him.
"So it is you, ah, I still remember your cries and pleas." Falkion said. With that Xzistance leaped at Falkion with his sword drawn and shoved it through Falkion's face. That's when it all broke down. The army easily fifty plus strong attacked the group.
"Now this is ambiance, for Pony!" Richard said as he leaped into the fray killing soldiers left and right without second thought. As the group fought the army Xzistance withdrew his sword from Falkion's face who proceeded to laugh.
"How do you still breath?" Xzistance asked.
"Call it a gift." Falkion said as he got back to his feet. Xzistance leaped at Falkion again only to have the Generals broadsword penetrate his chest. Xzistance looked down at it then back to Falkion.
"Was that really called for?" Xzistance asked. He pulled the sword out and melted it.
"What have you become, you monster." Falkion spat.
"I will never be a monster compared to the likes of you." Xzistance retorted. Xzistance threw two frostbolts at Falkion who actually leaped out of the way to avoid them.
"By the time I am finished with you Falkion you will wish you had never returned from the grave!" Xzistance roared. By this time Cale and the others had finished off what was Falkion's platoon and turned to gaze at Xzistance who was now fueled and controlled by rage. Xzistance threw a mix of fireballs and frostbolts at the General generally not caring who or what he hit. Cale went to step in but Krunch stopped him.
"I don't know what this guy has done to X but this is his fight Pinky." Krunch said.
"I know what happened, Xzistance told me last night." Cale said as the others joined him. He looked at his friends in turn.
"That man, he took everything from Xzistance when he was human, slaughtered and burned down his village and then murdered his young daughter in cold blood right before his eyes." Cale told the others. Benny held her hand to her mouth in pure shock while Pella just nodded her sympathy for the Mage.
"Aye, it be tough losing loved ones like that." she said.
"Falkion!" Xzistance roared again as he finally caught a winded Falkion his eyes red with anger and hate.
"It is your turn monster, plead and beg for your life like you made me do for my darling Alurei." Xzistance said.
"Ha ha, you can kill me all you want, Legara will just bring me back." Falkion said triumphantly.
"By the time I am finished with you, there will be nothing left to resurrect." Xzistance said. It was then that Falkion's eyes filled with fear at the mercy of the Mage. Xzistance turned his hand to flame.
"First for burning my home to the ground." Xzistance said setting Falkion on fire.
"Ahhh, no...please....make it stop!" Falkion pleaded in pure agony. Cale turned away, he wasn't one for this kind of torture but he knew Xzistance deserved this so he simply turned away. Richard however was clapping at the spectacle before him sort of jealous it wasn't him that was doing it.
"This one is for my baby, my darling Alurei, she was my everything and you took her from me!" Xzistance said. He took his sword and thrust it through the burning mans heart. He then withdrew it and stabbed Falkion in the face again and brought it up splitting his head in half. He then threw a cone of ice mist at the man which put the flames out. Falkion layed on the ground, his flesh charred to his muscle and in some areas his bones. His eyes had melted away and his head hung in two separate directions having been split open. Falkion layed there still alive crying and whimpering in pain and agony.
"This is for me, for what I became because of you!" Xzistance roared out again as fire surrounded his entire body. He picked up Falkion and started melting his body into ashes slowly making the mans pain last as long as he could enjoying his cries and pleas to have mercy. Xzistance had melted his legs and arms leaving him as nothing more than a torso with a split head.
"Do you feel it Falkion, do you feel my pain, my anguish?" Xzistance questioned. Falkion couldn't respond to him given his current condition.
"Your suffering has just begun, I want to let you know before I kill you that when the time comes I will kill and slaughter your family as mercilessly as you killed mine." Xzistance said. With that Xzistance melted the rest of Falkion into ashes which scattered into the wind due to the thunderstorm. Richard walked over to Xzistance and placed his arm around him.
"I am so proud, I couldn't have done it better myself." Richard said beaming with pride while fake crying. Cale then looked at his new companion.
"If you really desire to carry out the threat you made to that man I will have to stop you, his family did nothing to you." Cale said.
"Do not worry Cale, I will do nothing of the sort, I only told him that to torment his soul in his grave." Xzistance said. With a final glance at the group Xzistance simply walked away to be alone.

Lol no prob. On the 9th of may I'm gonna leave to go to hawaii for a week, so I'll be gone for that time (I learned last time I went to hawaii not to try to connect to the wifi in that area that I stay in because it's slow and it sucks).
I get to go be in a hospital for support of my 3 yr old son actually. They are going in to remove some webbing between his ring and pinky finger that he was born with. So even if I can log on while there I won't be on very much even still.

Cool, that means I am developing him the way I wanted him to turn out. He is almost as as powerful as Richard but not quit so as you said, Richard would take him in the end but X would put up a fight. On top of that X has all of the moral values that Richard lacks which makes him a bit soft and sometimes hesitant.

As for morals... I really don't know about Adelleh, as far as morals go. She's not particularly violent so it's hard to tell.
Anyway I'm loving the story.
The group assembled again at the village gates ready to leave out to start their journey to the Cave of Trials.
"Where is Xzistance?" Cale inquired noticing their new companion was missing.
"I don't know Pink, we haven't seen him since last night." Krunch replied.
"Last night had to be pretty tough on the Mage all things considered." Benny said.
"Let's move on, I am sure he will catch up." Krunch said.
"So, where be we going?" Pella asked.
"The map has another mark in the middle of the ocean, we head for Tyne and get us a ship to the location and see what is there." Krunch replied. With nods from the rest of the group they departed the village heading for the Port of Tyne. The trip to Tyne was pretty uneventful for the group as they discussed their plans and plotted out a solid course to follow the map.
"Minus the forest and the ocean mark we are now heading toward there are four more circled area's before the Cave of Trials, one near the volcano Mt. Luveisue, one near Mechastone, not too sure about this one but it appears to be in the sky, and the the fourth one appears to be in a village near Legara, ." Krunch explained studying the map thoroughly.
"Okay, after this one we head for the Mechastone, then we circle back and go to Mt.Luveisue, after that we find a way to take to the sky, then we go to the village, and then at last we reach the Cave of Trials ." Cale said.
"Sounds solid to me Pinky." Krunch said.
"Aye." Pella said voting in favor.

how would a keyboard change what you're typing and add letters? Unless of course it's a differently shaped one that makes it odd to type and makes you make typos. O.o I see a lot of people blame their keyboards for adding letters or even typing the wrong word. O_oIt's wierd. I mean, I understand a keyboard leaving a letter out, if when you hit they it doesn't register... or adding multiples of a letter if the key gets stuck... or even making you make typos because of an awkward shape. But I find it odd when people blame the keyboard for adding random other letters or even switching words. O.o
But I assume you're talking about it being a different shape and causing you to type strange. XD
yea, the buttons on it are small compared to what I am used too and I have big hands and the h and y are right there together so my guess is I was hitting the h just before with one of my other fingers. It is good to have keyboard but this one will be annoying till I get used to it.

The group headed down to the harbor to petition a ship to take them to them to the area marked on the map. The group got down to the harbor and saw some commotion going on. The group approached a group of people to inquire what was going on.
"You made a mistake trying to get away without properly paying for us bringing your worthless carcass back here you cur." came the voice of none other than Captain Tah'Vraay. Before her was man who looked like a typical thug just laughing.
"You should known from the start that someone like me wouldn't have had the money to pay your price." he said.
"Then you forfeit your life as payment." Tah'Vraay said as she leaped at the man with a sword drawn. The man went to move out of the way but tripped and the sword planted firmly in his stomach. The Captain removed and gingerly wiped the blood from it with a look of satisfaction on her face.
"Anyone have questions about this?" Tah'Vraay asked the group of on lookers. That's when her eyes landed on Cale and the group.
"Well well, what have we here?" she questioned rhetorically as she approached them.
"We seek passage to this point." Krunch said pulling out the map showing her the location.
"Serpent Temple Cove, you are crazy, no sailor in their right mind goes near that place." Tah'Vraay said.
"Why not?" Cale asked.
"There is legend about that spot, they say there is a Serpent there that of enormous size that can sink ships without much effort, it is said to be a Demi God from the Old World." Tah'Vraay explained.
"We have to go there though, please Captain , you're the only one we know brave enough to go there." Cale said. Tah'Vraay sighed and looked around at the traveling companions.
"Fine, but the charge will be heavy for it, 25 crowns a piece plus buying your provisions from me." she said knowing she was going to regret this decision...

The group had been at sea for two days and had at least another two days ahead of them given the weather remained calm according to Tah'Vraay. Krunch had stayed below deck the entire trip this time instead of being tied down above deck like last time. Cale walked into Krunch's quarters with a worried look on his face.
"What is bothering you Pinky?" Krunch asked.
"I am worried about Xzistance, he never showed up before we boarded the ship, I fear something may have happened to our new friend." Cale said.
"Don't worry, he is a rare kind just like the Warlock, he is very powerful, I am sure he is fine, we will most likely see him again when we return to to Tyne." Krunch said.
"I hope so Krunch." Cale said sitting down. The closer the ship got to Serpent Temple Cove the worse the weather got making it almost impossible to sail through. Tah'Vraay managed though and she docked the ship near at a reef as near the temple as she could get.
"You don't have long, with this weather the Fathers Bones will sink before we can sail back out." Tah'Vraay said as the group left the ship.
"We will be back soon enough." Krunch said. With that the group ascended the steps that lead into the temple. The group got near the entrance way when the ground started shaking violently below them. The group drew their weapons as Richard ignited his hands. A giant Serpent exploded out of the temple. It stood easily three stories high and was just as wide.
"This will be lots fun, not everyday you can fight a Demi God." Richard said with excitement in his voice. The Serpent let out a loud hiss as it lunged for the group. Before they could even react it swallowed Richard whole.
"Richard!" Cale cried out. Cale leaped at the Serpent and struck it in the face with his swords but they didn't even leave a scratch...

i just realized this, with the way I plotted out the story it is going to be a long one lol. On a side note, I forgot to make Richard's words red before I posted *runs off to fix*. On top of that, if I really wanted to I could make Cale make a very very wrong, kinda sick, and perverted comment if it wasn't for the fact children prolly read this as well not to mention the admins may not like it too well.

Cale ran at the Serpent again and this time tried to thrust his sword through it to no avail. The Serpent swung its tail and hit Cale in the stomach with it sending him flying through a temple wall. Krunch glared at where Cale lay under rubble and ran the Serpent himself followed by Pella. Krunch swung his hammer down with such force it actually squashed his tail a little. The Serpent hissed out loudly in pain and sung its tail again at Krunch this time. Pella leaped out from behind and deflected the tail with her axe which in turn sent her sprawling across the ground. The Serpent opened its mouth again an Benny fired several magic shaped lances into it causing it to thrash with pain. It went to strike Benny with its open mouth only it hesitated and started thrashing around again as smoke started coming from its mouth. Moments later Richard burst out from its mouth with an angry look on his face.
"No one, but no one swallows me and gets away with it." Richard said firing two fireballs at it which charred its flesh. Cale had finally recovered and with wobbly legs returned to the fight.
"This thing is as strong as the bear creature we fought in the bandit forest." Cale said.
"There has to be someway to hurt it or at least slow it down." Benny said. With that Richard made a huge ring of fire around the snake creature.
"What, you said at least slow it down." Richard said with an innocent look on his face.
"The Warlock is on to something, while we have a moment let's figure out a way to bring this thing down." Krunch said. That's when something above them cast a shadow over the Serpent. It wasn't a very big shadow but it was noticed...

Yeah, axe was supposed to be there, that's just another case of getting ahead of myself again and really getting into writing. As for they lay/layed thing, will fix promptly
