ja thats the nuke attack. you thrust all the way back and wait for it to end and let her do her uber thruster move to you and avoid that and use ur smash/musou attack

I knooooooow, but she catches me once and I end up dying. If I can get to where she doesn't hit me at all, I'll be fine cause one hit and it throws me off

the only way itgets u is if u only pull back a small bit u need to get rly far away to avoid it

Ok, fine. Once she turns purple, it's hard for me to anticipate which attack she's doing outside the kick and stomp.

It's got great gameplay and an engaging story.

Though there are some other RPG's coming out in the next few months which look pretty good. I'm looking foreward to "Sands of Destruction"

Hawx surprised me really. I've never been a fan of Tom Clancy games... however this one is just all around fun. I need to get this one, I tried the demo.

Tom Clancy games are different, I'll give you that. It's the game play that bothers me about them, but then I prefer first person shooters. The games themselves have a good story line and it's fine as long as you can deal with the view point you get.

Has anybody here played Metal Gear? The original MSX2 version? I was able to try it the other day through MGS3: Subsistance. It's a very fun game.

^You mean the Shadow Moses one? Or am I mistaking that for a different one. I remember playing the very first Metal Gear Solid though. God, the graphics sucked back then but at the time it was incredible looking.

Haven't tried it, but it's getting descent reviews. Looks good enough, but not really something I would play new, personally.

Nah... A little known fact is that Metal Gear Solid is actually the third game in the series- Making MGS2 the fourth, MGS3 the fifth, and so on. 'Tis very confusing. The first two games, Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2, were for the MSX2, a console that never got released outside of Japan. (Metal gear was ported to the NES and localized to the US, but it was nothing like the original) So MGS was the first one that most Amricans played. MG &MG2 weren't available here in the states until they included them as a bonus in MGS3: Subsistance.

Tom Clancy's "Splinter Cell: Double Agent" was the first Splinter Cell game I actually played and enjoyed. I never did get very far in the game though...

I remember playing that with my friend, Co-op was awesome

Just watched the MAG trailer & well, it looks like chaotic fun but I really hope they put more effort into the graphics between now & release, seemed very bricky for the Next Gen consoles for me. I imagine they will but the trailer just seemed like CS:S but more fluid and more chaotic.

Yea, but considering the release date is still half a year away. It should clean up nicely by then.

Oh I daresay they will, I was just thinking it would be more like Modern Warfare 2. That's released around the same time & already looks sexier than Modern Warfare did. Hell, the 12 Seconds of Gameplay footage had me drooling when slowed down to 1:12 & pointing out vehicles, weapons, countries & such. AK 104 I think was in there, alongside a harpoon gun; yays.

Saying that the Glock on the Snow Mobile looked identical to the DEagle skin used in MW. Oh well, looks like Christmas time is going to be expensive as all hell for me.

Modding is a huge part of a game, games like Ultimate Alliance would have been good with PC version modding...

All we need is an MMO with decent combat, exploration and character customization... essentially Fable II for PC with a HUGE Albion...

Well... since there's no WoW talk.... anybody else play Mad World? 2nd best game on the Wii, by my reconing (next to Brawl, of course). The graphic novel look hides the Wii's limited visual abilities quiet nicely. And there's so many different ways to kill people! You can slam them against a spike wall, throw them into a meat grinder, slam 'em into a pirranha tank, or rip their head off with their spine still attached to it. And the main character, Jack, is awesome. He's like what you would get if you mixed Richard's DNA with Wolverine's. Plus, the dude's got a friggin chainsaw IN HIS ARM! Not to mention the banter by the two commentators is some of the funniest stuff I've heard in games yet.

And The Conduit is the game I'm waiting for. Already reserved my copy. Look's like it might be Sega's Halo (bit of a bold claim for me to make, but hey, it looks good).

But there's one thing nagging at me. If Sega has been doing so great with these games (and also with House of the Dead, Overkill), how come there classic games like Sonic and Golden Axe are pretty much just begging to be put out of there misery?

House of the Dead; Overkill was alright, though Sega have been relying on the same recycled series for like the last 20 years; they just ned to die off & start on something fresh, preferably under a new company name.

Modern Warfare 2 Gameplay out today, will be sure to check it out tomorrow here in the UK, hopefully it'll be a nice teaser alongside the previously revealed 11 seconds.

So I started a Max Right Slider (hardest difficulty) run of Oblivion. I got one hit-ed by a rat. Luckily, I now appreciate summoning a headless zombie to rend the flesh of my enemies :3

I play all kinds of crap, and have for decades (so sad I can say that honestly...I'm gettin old!) Most recently though has been Billy vs Snakeman (Naruto parody free browser game) and Plants vs Zombies. Just bought Demigod though, so if anyone wants to play a skirmish in that just pm me or something.

Oh, and kongregate.com rocks for those with limited to no incomes, perfect for this economy!

No, it's confirmed that MGS: Rising will be an Xbox exclusive. They also announced that FFXIII, previously a PS3 exclusive, is now for the Xbox as well. V.V

E3 Update. Just finished watching teh Ubisoft press conference. New games include Red Steel 2, Assassin's Creed 2, a new Splinter Cell, and yet another Rabbids game. So much for the rumoured Beyond Good and Evil 2.

Dude, the beginning of their conference sucked so hard core.

At least this red steel looks decent, and the rabbids game isn't the same as the other 3. This one is looking pretty decent.

Also failed to mention the new TMNT brawler for the 25th Anniversary

It would seem that Ryan was right, even though the Microsoft press conference implied that the new MGS was a 360 exclusive, a spokesperson-PR guy dealie thingie later revealed that it will be for the PS3 and PC as well. W00T.
