Basically in here you voice your opinion on who dominates in this argument that has gone on for quite some time. Which is better ninjas or pirates? Please explain your reasoning for your choice and don't do anything horrid and curse out the people who don't agree with you.

I do believe that the ninja's would win, but it'd be a close call.

Simply becuase most ninja's stick to the shadows and are fairly stealthy, whereas pirates are slightly louder with their guns and what-not. >:]

Not to mention, anything that can take down a Samarai must be able to take down a pirate, eh?

In a *fight* between the two of them, it is likely that the ninja would win. Besides the fact that they have lots of hax ninja skillz, they would probably get the jump on the pirate and kill them before it really turns into a fight.

In a duel, it's hard to say, because a pirate would use a gun and would have time to cheat. If it was in an open area, the pirate would probably win? Guns > throwing stars for rate of fire and distance to damage ratio,

In a cool contest, I'd probably have to go with ninja. Pirates are only cool when we make them cool, like in pirates of the Caribbean. Realistically I don't think there were really any cool pirates, as they were probably all dicks who didn't get enough food, were poor, and raped people. Probably. Ninja's on the other hand were pretty awesome, I think. For one thing, they were practically assassins...and they mostly knew how to use a sword and kung fu stuff. *nod*

So....two out of three in favor of pirates? Lol.

Ninjas. Why? Because they're hard asses who don't answer to shit. It's poison first, ask questions later. Though, I often wonder if they have necromantic powers, for they can track down their prey even after killing the people in the way o.o Anyway, ninjas are cooler than pirates, ninjas are faster and better fighters than pirates, and pirates are just ninnies who can't be like Jack Sparrow, who is secretly a ninja Johnny Depp, I might add, is on the list of awesome guys who are, all in all, ninja gods. Morgan Freeman, Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, and Johnny Depp. Yes, I added him to the list. Anyway, ninjas are master of shadow, swordplay, and assassinations. Pirates can only swashbuckle and CAN'T be like Jarlaxle, and they rely on single-shot guns. Ninjas, all in all, own.

This ends my argument until I can actually argue '>.>

I am always on the side of the pirates winning.

However, recent real world events have proven that the ninja (Navy Seals) have infact beaten the pirates.

I'm afraid to say Mythbusters already fully debunked all the stupid stuff Ninja's did. If this was anime, I'd give it to ninja's... unless they were space pirates... or sky pirates. And seeing as that it was anime, well it damn well would have to be space pirates and sky pirates, so pirate would get a beating, and then break the ninja neck, pirate wins but is bruised.

Reality, pajama wearing punks always lose to gun toting, rum guzzling, skalliwags hiding behind a cannon.

That being said, Somalia pirate vs US ninja = lose for pirate.

So while I love both Ninja's and Pirates, and strongly believe that I would be a bad ass Ninja Pirate (As I so claimed to be on MySpace for months a year ago or so.), I think it is proven that Ninja's are just better.

Ninjas, being highly trained assassins and fighters, would naturally beat the hell out of a damn pirate, who is probably a poor brigand who took to the seas when he had no where else to go

From a historic prospective ninjas are every day people that rebelled against oppression and pirates are essentially bandits with boats.

Ok just so you guys know, pirates did have formal training and were actually part of the British Navy originally. That was how they started. If I remember correctly, the pirate culture started after the war between the French and British (if those were the wrong groups please correct me) ended and the British Navy was jobless and their only training was from the military. They had no other securities so they left off to rob people in order to be able to live.

So ninjas and pirates are in a way alot alike.

actually they were merchants who were given permission to attack and raid sips of the enemy nation (I don't remember the groups ether) and after the war they didn't want to stop because it was so profitable... at least that's what I was told.

THANK YOU!!! People at my school think it is idiotic that I wanted that to occur since the Pirate won in one episode already and the ninja lost in one as well. I believe that it would settle this arguement once and for all.
