Dreams are like the air we breathe, we know they are there for we surely could not live without them. Sometimes we are aware of them suddenly in nightmares and dreams that one never wishes to wake from, but when recalled they are unclear, a pond filled with ripples. Books with pages missing are like many dreams, but some, some select few, are never forgotten.
“Things are not going as planned. So much of our hard work is in jeopardy,” exclaimed an oddly familiar figure. He seemed to be wearing a yellow robe and a green shirt underneath but the dreamer couldn’t be certain for the room was so dark. He appeared flustered and annoyed when a deep rumbling voice chimed in.
“Thus it was written, Thus it shall be!”
“Shut up! I’m trying to concentrate,” yelled, what now appeared to be an old man, as the room lightened. He was waving his hands over a pool of mist or maybe water while mumbling so strange words. Faces appeared in flashes across the pool; bald old men with wrinkled faces, young women with unsurpassed beauty, young children at play.
The dreamer began to feel uneasy, as if there was something right behind her, ready to pounce. She began to back out of the room slowly thinking “ Anywhere else”. But it was far to late, fate was written, and thus it would be. The flashing stopped at a young girls face. She had short brown hair that only went to her shoulders, almond shaped brown eyes, an aristocratic nose and thin lips. She was sleeping with the shutters open so the light of the full moon made her pale white skin seem to glow.
“ She will do,” mumbled the old man.
Alex woke up drenched in a cold sweat. The moon was shining in her face just as she had seen in the dream. Frighten, she quickly locate her Lil’ Richard Plushie from a tangle of green covers, and gave it a hug. It always made her feel better after nightmares, though she would never admit it. The Lil’ Richard Plushie was a birthday present from two monthes ago and Alex had slept with it every night since. It made her feel, secure. Or at least as secure as you can feel with a homicidal warlock plushie in your room.
After a few minutes of staring out the window from her bed, Alex dared look at the clock. The glowing red numbers revealed that it was only 1am. She groaned and gathered the covers around her trying to get back to sleep, but it proved to be impossible. The strange dream was not really all that scary except for the fact that it didn’t have Richard or Cale in it like most of her LFG dreams and, it seemed strangely, real. She pondered it for a while longer until slowly sleep overtook her. “Tomorrow, is a big day,” Alex thought. “Eight grade…gradu…ation. “

x3 I'm so proud.
And her name is Alex? O.o
I find that endlessly amusing. However, I dont' feel comfortable telling the whole interwebz why. X3
Just know that, the name Alex is significant and brings much laughter to Dragon. x3

As the sun rose over the horizon, the alarm went off in a flurry of beeping. Alex gave a startled scream, as she fell out of bed, tangled in the covers. She hastily threw off the cumbersome covers and lunged at the source of the horrible beeping noise. After pushing the off button numerous times with no success, she finally gave up and unplugged the dysfunctional alarm clock.
“Damn thing never works,” she mumbled under her breath. She changed out of her red flannel pajamas with teddy bears on them into a stunning black dress. Walking out her room, she could smell bacon and eggs cooking in the kitchen down the hall. Alex walked into her bathroom and put her hair up in a simple ponytail and pinned up some stubborn pieces of hair that did not want to corporate with a lily shaped pin.
Walking out of the bathroom and into the kitchen, Alex predicate exactly what happened next. Her mother dished up her breakfast and set it on the table. When it seemed that Alex was engrossed in her meal she droned on and on about how beautiful she was and how that no matter how old she was she would always be her baby, typical motherly stuff. Her father sat at the chair next to her hardly touching his food as usual, he was a thin as a twig. He was silent throughout the whole ordeal.
When it was 6:45, Alex and her father were heading out the door to go to school. It was a fifteen minute long drive to the school, one filled with a mixture of excitement and sorrow. Today she would no longer be a eighth grader but instead a freshman in high school, but it was also mostly likely the last time she would see most of her friends,
friends that she had know since elementary school. When they arrived she hopped out of the small Toyota, waved good-bye to her dad, and began to push her way through the crowd to her little group of friends.
Suddenly she was in a forest clearing watching Cale, Richard, Krunch, Benny, and Pella converse around a campfire. The vision quickly disappeared when she ran into a cheerleader.
“ Hey! Watch it! You are gonna make me chip a nail,” exclaimed the cheerleader.
“Sorry Shannon,” replied Alex barely giving the chubby little, self-proclaimed diva, a glance. “ I must’ve eaten some bad eggs or something,” Alex mumbled under her breath.
Continuing through the crowd to her friends was a tedious task, people were pushing and stepping on feet. When she finally arrived her friend’s circle they greeted her with a half-hearted hello. Everyone was looking at the ground, Aaron’s and John hair hung in their face obscuring their eyes. Sarah was on the verge of tears when she gave Alex a huge hug.
“ I’m gonna miss you Sarah,” whispered Alex. She felt like she was going to cry too. Alex took a deep breath before continuing. “ We should keep in touch, kay.”
“ Yah,” was all Sarah said before the bell rang.

All the graduating eighth graders stood in lines facing the stairs leading to the wooden outdoor stage. The sun was beating down on them as they waited for the ceremony to start. Alex shifted her feet and fanned herself with her hand, perfectly miserable. The wait was unbearable and to make it even worse, she was unable to talk to any of her friends who were all in different lines. Finally the idiot, of a principle decided to get the thing going. Parents stopped their bird like chattering when the principle began a boring speech about how all of theses students had worked very hard to achieve this stepping-stone in life. Alex chuckled to herself. That was such a lie.
Once the walk actually started, it went relatively quick. It took about ten minutes, before Alex’s name was called. When she walked up the principal handed her a certificate and said, “Congratulations, Miss Reine.” He shook her other hand and dropped something in it. The principal winked at her as she stared at him. Something about him had always creeped Alex out, but now she was truly frightened. He seemed as if he knew something.
Something important.

Felbunny hopped towards the dying campfire, passing underneath Krunch’s feet, whom was standing watch. He tip-toed past Cale, who was snoring loudly and mumbling something in his sleep, and Benny who was snuggled up in a warm overcoat. He looked around nervously, standing on his hind legs. Felbunny then gave a rabbit’s equivalent of a sigh. Suddenly a black-gloved hand shot out and picked up Felbunny into its arms and began to stroke his head.
“There you are,” the figure said. He held out Felbunny at arms length. “I wonder where you run off to sometimes.”
The bunny gave him an innocent look before snuggling up in his arms.

Meanwhile back in the real world, Alex just got home from school. She walked into her room and threw the various items that her friends had given her as presents onto her bed. Out of the pile, something caught the light of the sun. Sitting on top of the various gifts was a rhombus shaped ruby on a small, silver chain. Alex picked it up by the chain, studying it suspiciously, as it spun in slow circles.
“I don’t remember getting this, but it sure is beautiful,” thought Alex as she undid the clasp and placed it on her neck.
Later that night, Alex snuggled into her covers, in her red flannel pajamas and quickly fell asleep. Her father closed all the windows and checked the locks on the doors before settling down for the night himself. The house was quiet. Not even the usually rambunctious cat was stirring. The world was silent, holding its breath.
The red letters on the clock struck twelve. There was a loud crashing noise in the kitchen. Alex bolted upright. She sat in the dark for a moment, straining her hearing, looking for any sign that someone else was in the house.
Footsteps.
Alex tiptoed out of her bed, and grabbed the heaviest object nearby. She had picked up her flute case. She gave it an experimental swing before journeying out of her room into the dark hallway. “Mom! Dad,” she whispered at the door of their room. “I think I hear something.” They replied with snores. Wielding the flute case like a club, she slowly walked down the hallway with cat like silence.
Advancing upon the half open kitchen door, fear knotted in her stomach. Closer. Closer. Suddenly the cat appeared out of nowhere and yowled. Alex screamed and nearly dropped the flute case. The cat slink out from the kitchen and stared at her with luminous green eyes before yowling again.
“Shoo! You scared me half to death stupid cat!”
“Meeeoooww!”
Convinced that it was only the cat making noise again Alex began to walk back to her room. She stopped, did a half turn, and walked back to the kitchen to get a drink. The cat standing in front of the door gave her a long drawn out hiss. She gave a kick at the animal to scare it off. It didn’t move, but just stared. It took another sharp intake of breath and another hiss followed.
“Move Tiger!”
Tiger stared at her for a long while before moving out of the way. He had a “I warned you look” on his face as he slinked away. “Stupid cat,” mumbled Alex as she walked through the kitchen door.

Krunch was rather bored standing watch. It was almost midnight though, so he could give his shift to Cale soon. He leaned against a tree, listening to the crickets chirp, in the cold night air. Suddenly the world seemed to hold its breath and the forest fell silent. A high-pitched shriek pierced the summer air. Krunch rushed over to were Cale slept and roughly, shook him awake.
“Huh?!”
“Sshh. Listen,” whispered Krunch. Another scream pierced the nighttime air.
“Someone needs help! Sooba, come,” said Cale already on his feet. “The scream came from the east. Come on Krunch!”
Richard detached himself from the shadows and quickly followed Cale and Sooba to the source of the cry. Krunch tailed behind them.
“Richard! Why are you coming? I thought you were against helping people,” said Cale over his shoulder.
“Mostly I want to know why someone is screaming in mortal terror and I’m not there,” said Richard, his eyes smiling.
“Figures.”
***
Perched on a tree branch, Alex swung her flute case like a club at a jumping wolf. It connected solidly with the wolf’s nose and it let out a startled yelp. The rest of the pack barked loudly at the base of the tree, desperately trying the scale it, to get to her. Alex screamed for help again, but still no one came.
“ I’m going to get eaten,” thought Alex. “By wolves, God knows where.”
Another wolf took a leap, white teeth gleaming in the moonlight. She swung again but instead of hitting it, the wolf grabbed it in his jaws. It wrenched the case from her hands, almost pulling her out of the tree at the same time. Alex caught herself with one hand and dangled from the branch.
“HEEEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!”
A wolf snapped at her foot, missing by a hairs breadth. Alex didn’t know how much longer she could hold, her gripped was slipping. A roar was the only precursor to what happened next. A mighty black panther leapt into the pack of wolves, swiping its mighty paws. Another was lit on fire and ran away yelping. Arrows sailed through the air and found their marks in many wolves. Some ran, others did not get up.
From the trees ran an elf in a outrageously awesome cloak and green pants. A very pale man clad in shades of red, black, and blue quickly followed him. He seemed to be chuckling to himself about something. The blonde elf quickly help Alex out of the tree.
“Are you all right?”
“If you are who I think you are…most definitely.”

“I don’t know Benny! She just fainted,” said a distant voice.
“Well there is nothing wrong with her that I can tell, perhaps just shock. I mean it’s not everyday a little girl is running through a forest being chased by wolves.”
Alex opened her eyes slowly, and quickly closed them. When she dared to open them again, the first site that greeted her was that of a green face wearing a toothy grin.
“Well hello there! How are you feeling,” asked Benny.
“Like I’ve been hit by a truck,” replied Alex while slowly standing. She looked down at herself and realized that her pajamas were missing. Instead she was clad in dark brown leather pants and shirt, black leather boots, a blood red cape, and a chain necklace with a blood red ruby. “Um, what happened to my pajamas and my flute?! I can’t lose that! It was like, over 1,000 dollars!”
“ What is a truck? And pajamas? Your flute is right there though,” asked Cale, slightly puzzled.
“ You know! A truck! With the “honk honk” and the “vroom vroom”,” said Alex, pulling an imaginary horn and pretending to drive.
“Are ye sure she did’n hit ‘er head,” asked a dwarf woman.
“I didn’t see any signs of head trauma, but I could be wrong,” said the green woman. Her hand was on her chin, as she studied Alex.
“ Has anyone considered that Cale’s “crazy” really is contagious,” said Richard, he slowly circled the newcomer. “What are you doing now?”
“ Pinching myself! Now shut up,” shouted Alex. “ Any minute I’ll wake up in my nice warm bed and this will be nothing more than a bad-dream!”
Cale had a stunned expression on his face. This person was a whack-job ! Richard walked up to him with a huge smile in his eyes. “Can we keep her?” Cale ignored him. There was no time for jokes right now.
“Krunch, grab her before she seriously harms herself,” commanded Cale. Krunch was all ready in motion before Cale spoke. He had had the same idea. He grabbed a hold of her, pinning both of Alex’s arms to her sides. Surprisingly she went limp and didn’t put up much of a struggle.
“ Perhaps I acted in haste,” she said. “ If I’m dreaming I might as well go along with it… I mean think of how much fun this could be,” Alex said with a smile. “ So why don’t you let me down and we can start out properly.”
Krunch looked to Cale with a questioning look on his face. “Should I?”
“ I guess,” said Cale, with unconcealed puzzlement. One minute this girl is acting like an insane maniac, and next like a perfectly rational human being. What’s next? Is she going to summon flying pigs?!
Krunch let her down gently. She immediately walked toward Cale and held out her hand. Cale grabbed it and shook it after a few moments of realizing what she wanted.
“ Hello my name is Alexandra Reine, but you can call me Alex. You must be Cale’ Anon Vatay.” She let go of his hand and pointed towards the panther. “ That’s your cat, Sooba. You are Benny, A.K.A, Gid. She’s Pella of Clan Breem and that’s Krunch Bloodrage.”
Richard looked extremely surprised when Alex suddenly grabbed his hand and shook vigorously. “ And last but not least. You are Richard, Chief Warlock of the Brothers of Darkness, Lord of the Thirteen Hells, Master of the Bones, Emperor of the Black,” she took a deep breath. “ Lord of the Undead, The Mayor of a Little Village up the Coast, and Lord of the Dance. Nice to met you! Big fan of yours.” She hadn’t stopped shaking his hand and smiling throughout the whole thing.
Richard seemed stunned for a moment, and then narrowed his eyes at the girl. She quickly took a step back expecting a “fwoosh” to happen at any moment. To everyone’s surprise he burst out laughing.
“ Finally I’m getting the respect I deserve around here,” he exclaimed.

“ You seem to know much about us little one, but we know practically nothing about you,” interrupted Krunch. “ Why don’t you tell us more about yourself as we set off for the day.” It wasn’t a question. It was a command.
“Um, sure,” answered Alex a little uncertainly. Moving towards where Cale indicated her flute was, she picked up the case lovingly. The outside of the case was scratched and gouged but opening it revealed the instrument to be completely unharmed. “ Thank God.”
“Well…um, we should get going. I think we are going to have a long day ahead us,” said Cale. He turned, causing his cape to swish around, as he walked out of the camp.
Richard was quickly at Alex’s side. He held a boney hand up to his mouth and whispered, “ You can tell he’s thinking by the smoke coming off his head.”
“ I thought it was because you lit his hair on fire as you walked by,” giggled Alex.
“ It’s a joint effort,” laughed Richard.

“You shouldn’t have done that. Meddling in the fate of one could destroy all that we’ve done,” wailed the preaching voice of the Archmage’s beholder companion.
“I don’t like it either, but it had to be done. Someone has awakened the “Vesper” and that was a fate that I know I did not write! Plus the girl was going to die anyways, it seems I’ve given her an extra chance.”
“What chance does a mere child stand against the Vesper? You know that fates around them become, uncertain…
“Probably none…but it is the best I can do on such short notice. I only hope it is enough my friend,” sighed the Archmage. He watched the fate of the girl as it was writing itself, for the fates of the ones who face the Shadow, are uncertain at best. And the worst…was best not mentioned.

“ She must be…eliminated. She who tries to…destroy us.” The voice that whispered in his head was like that of a snake’s. Entrancing, yet insidious. It whispered to him as he looked through the scrying glass at her and her newfound friends.
“Yes, that seems a wise course of action,” he replied in a hollow, distant voice. The young man sat all alone in a sparsely lit room. The single candle burned on a once grand chandelier, but instead of lighting the room it seemed to accent the darkness. The shadows were whispering to each other, their eyes the only thing visible out of their form…. and those showed as pinpoints of dark. Pure black.
“ Night shall…fall. None shall…interfere.”
“ Darkness will…reign.”
“ Our triumph is…near.” “B-but, why? Why are we to harm her,” said the young man. His voice no longer sounded distant, but was full of emotion. He began shouting, “My goal was to destroy Legara! Not to harm innocents!”
“YOU SHALL OBEY US,” screamed thousands of voices. A gust of wind swept through the room, knocking over the chair in which the young man sat in. Despite the strength of the wind, the candle did not even flicker. He picked himself up, and fell to a knee.
“ I obey.”
“ As it should be,” they whispered. Suddenly, Shadows began to detach themselves from the walls. They formed themselves into dragon-shaped creatures. Heavily armored riders then materialized on their backs. Clad in black plate mail from head to toe the only part of them that was visible was their eyes. So dark, they seemed to glow. Each raised their right hand high in the air; there was a purplish-black flash and lances appeared in their hands.
One of the Vesper Knights opened a portal into a green forest. The portal seemed to be the only thing of color in the entire room besides the candle. The five knights gave the signal and the dragons stood up on their two hind legs. A kick in the stomach, and the dragons each gave a mighty roar as they leapt into the air. Soaring through the portal, they each disappeared with a flash. When the last one was through, the portal abruptly closed, taking the last of the light with it. The candle flickered and died.
“None shall oppose…us…. And live.”And another double post! woot!

“So where I come from, instead of riding horses we ride in cars. They are kinda like, um, metal wagons without horses pulling em’.”
“Kinda like ah mine cart,” questioned Pella.
“ Yah! I guess it’s like the same idea.”
The conversation continued on, with Alex telling the group of the great wonders of her world, while they, in turn told her about theirs. The forest was alive; birds sang, squirrels scurried across the tree branches, and insects buzzed by the group. With all the happy animals around it was certain that some meet a quiet…unfortunate end. After Richard had his laugh by lighting fire to, reanimating, and then having skeletal chipmunks wreak havoc around the forest, the group continued on.
“You must have many powerful wizards where you come from, to do such things,” queried Richard. Alex looked puzzled for a moment before realization dawned on her.
“Oh! You mean scientists ! Yah, but most of them are just old men coming up with whack job theories, such as that we are changing our weather. I mean come on some peop—“
“Ssh,” Cale whispered harshly. He held up his hand, signaling the group to stop. They all stood still for a moment, hardly daring to breathe. Cale was an expert scout. He knew when something was horribly wrong.
“ Cale I don’t hear anything,” whispered Benny. Cale was silent.
“ That’s my point…its to quiet.”
“ Duck,” shouted Pella. Everyone fell flat on their face as a huge tail flew over them. They lifted their heads to watch as the dragon flipped over backwards in the air. It was as black as night, possibly even darker, and so was its armored rider. It looked down on them and shook it horned head before breathing a massive gout of purplish-black flame into the sky. It looked back down on the group, the expression on its face, one of pure confidence. The rider seemed to gloat as he beheld the frightened face of Alex.
“Surrender the girl or…die!”
Faster than the speed of light, Cale was on his feet and firing his bow. As the arrow soared towards the dark dragon’s skull he shouted, “Never!” Much to his astonishment, instead of the arrow imbedding itself in the dragon’s skull, it passed right through. It passed through the knight’s upper torso before loosing momentum and falling to the ground in the forest below. The knight laughed and kicked his heels into his evil stead. It let out a bellowing roar as the one dragon rider became five.
In unison they dived towards the ground and their prey.

“ Move! Into the trees,” shouted Krunch. The minotaur grabbed Alex, none to gently, and ran deeper into the forest. He ran hard and by the time they had stopped they were probably far from the battle. Krunch set her down by a tree with gnarled roots.
“ What did you do that for,” said Alex, her voice seething with anger.
“ Battle is no place for a child. Now stay here ,” He said in a commanding voice. He glared at her for a moment before turning and dashing off across the forest. The sounds of roaring dragons, a rushing fireball, and the occasional clash of steel, reached Alex from her hiding spot far away. She looked around quickly.
“ Well he never said I couldn’t watch. I’ll just stay out of the way,” thought Alex. She chuckled to herself as she slinked through the trees back to the battle.

The Vesper-dragon inhaled deeply before unleashing a jet of flame at Richard. Standing his ground, Richard put his hands together. Right when it seemed the purplish-black flame would consume him, he launched a stream of fire straight at it. The flames seemed to mix to form a huge multicolored fireball before the dragon ran out of breath. The massive fireball exploded forward and engulfed the dragon in midair; it died instantly.
“Woot! Richard for the win,” cheered Richard. He then set his sights on another diving Vesper-dragon.

Strapping the flute case to her back, Alex began to scale a tall tree. After falling down once or twice she put her hands on her hips and glared at it. “It was much easier when I was being chased by wolves,” she mumbled. Backing up, she started to run towards the tree before leaping. Quickly getting a hold she scrambled onto a branch. She held up her hand to her eyes to get a better view of the battle.
Cale and Pella were battling a dragon, which had landed on the ground. Their weapons seemed to do it little harm. They were dodging its claws and tail far more often than scoring hits anyways. Krunch seemed to be having the same problem; Krunch’s hammer was having very little affect on the dragon and rider. The only two of the group who were not having any trouble were Richard and Benny. Their magical attacks seemed to be the only thing that could harm them.
“ Benny! Put a charm on everyone’s weapon! It looks like only magic can harm them,” shouted Alex. Krunch glanced over to the tree that she was perched on and a sour look appeared on his face.
“ I told you to stay put,” yelled Krunch as he swung his hammer.
“ Better to beg forgiveness than ask permission? But anyways just do what I say!”
“You heard her Benny. Do it,” said Cale. He dived under a dragon’s swiping claw, tearing his cloak. Benny shut her eyes and raised her hands high above her head. She seemed to glow for a moment before the glow spread to all her companions. The glow persisted for a matter of seconds before fading, leaving only the groups weapons alight.
Alex gave a silent cheer as she watched Cale’s swords slice into the dragon’s forearm.
Cale turned to her for a moment, smile in his eyes. That quickly changed into horror as he pointed behind her. “Look out,” he screamed. Quickly looking behind her, the sight of a Vesper-dragon flying straight towards her perch. It’s chest expanded as it took a deep breath.
“Holy sh— !”

The off colored fire exploded where Alex had moments ago been perched. The tree was quickly a light and soon the flames were spreading to its neighbors. Even though she had leapt as quick as she could, Alex’s blood red cloak was burning behind her as she fell. She hit the ground hard, landing in what was supposed to be a crouched position, but instead turned out to be landing flat on her face. Alex quickly rolled in the dirt to put the fires on her cloak out. Rising to her feet quickly, Alex looked around at the battle. Richard had killed one of the five dragons. Krunch was battling one on foot with Benny, and another was lighting the surrounding forest on fire.
When turning towards where Cale and Pella fought, fear knotted in Alex’s stomach. The Vesper-dragon’s tail hit Cale right in the stomach, throwing him a good distance away. He had dropped his swords when the dragon hit him. Cale tried to get up but a clawed paw grabbed him and pinned the elf to a tree. The dragon rider raised his lance, preparing to impale Cale on the tree.
A wild plan formed in Alex’s mind. Dashing to where Cale had dropped his swords, she picked one up along with a hefty rock. She threw the rock as hard as she could, and shouted what could possibly be called, one of the most over used lines in literature, “Leave him alone! I’m the one you want!” Predictably the rock passed right through the knight’s head, doing no damage whatsoever. The dragon released Cale and turned to meet this new adversary.
The dragon let out a menacing growl as it advanced on its tiny prey. The dark armored rider laughed hollowly. If its face were visible, it would have been grinning. “Right you… are.” The dragon’s head lunged forward, but instead of a mouthful of human, it only got a mouthful of dirt. Alex ran as fast as she could to the underbelly of the beast. Before the dragon could react she plunged Cale’s sword into its chest. It shrieked in agony for what seemed like a lifetime for Alex, before the creature seemed to dissipate in a wisp of smoke.
Alex nearly collapsed. She felt so drained, as if she could sleep for weeks and it still not be enough. She tried taking a deep breath to steady herself, but the air was to heavy with smoke to do much good. She hadn’t noticed until then. Suddenly a feeling in her gut told her to bring the sword back up. There was a clash of steel as the knight’s sword collided with Alex’s.
“DIE!” shouted the shadowy knight. Two throwing axes thudded into its chest. The knight dropped his sword, which disappeared once it left his hand, and stared down at its chest, clearly puzzled. He dissipated, just like his dark steed, in a wisp of smoke. Pella’s weapons fell to the ground.
Alex turned around towards the dwarf woman. “Thanks.” Was all she managed to say.
“It be no problem.”
The battle had died down. Two of the dragon riders were in fast retreat and the other three were dead. Despite their victory the group was not joyous. The fires still threatened to harm them and the smoke obscured their vision of the sky, so they were unable to tell whether or not the riders were coming back. Cale limped over towards were Alex and Pella stood.
“Richard! Can you put these fires out?” Cale asked. Neither Alex, Pella, or Cale could see the warlock, but his reply was loud and clear.
“ Yes I can,” he stated. Nothing happened for along while. More time passed.
“ Will you put out the fire?”
A loud clapping noise was heard and then a rush of white burst forth from the warlock. The smoke was blown away and what was left of the forest was a winter wonderland. The fires and trees had been frozen solid giving the forest a spiky feeling to it. A leaf fell off a tree branch and shattered when it hit the ground. Cale glared at Richard. He simply put on his innocent face.
“Well I did put out the fires!”
that took forever. sorry jowy im going to bed.
