When I heard they were remaking Battlestar Galatica on SciFi I was eager. I grew up watching the show on TV and even though I knew it was just a Spaceship Western I was hooked. I watched everything and anything with space in it back then. I was a kid when the first man walked on the moon. I wanted to go to space.

What I got was even better. This series was about people and emotions and life and death. It wasn't just great special effects, it was compelling stories and living with fear. These people were complex and twisted. The storylines were intricate and satisfying. I cried like a baby more than once during the shows run but had to watch and rewatch the finale so I wouldn't miss one bit of dialog. WOW! I know there are some people who might hate the show because it wasn't just rockets and blasters but I challenge anyone not to watch Edward James Olmos weeping and tell me that isn't amazing work.

Then throughout the final episode there were tidbits to look foward to. I don't know what the show "Caprica" is going to be about but I'm going to watch it. And the whole Ceylon side of the story? Hells yes, I'm there too.

I do have one theory and maybe someone out there knows for sure. The piece of music that trigger the final 5. The notes that Hera drew for Starbuck, is that possibly 'All along the Watchtower' backwards?

Starbuck mutters the line "There's got to be someway out of here." As she struggles to activate the FTL. Then as the 'angels' are walking away in present day Earth, the song is heard playing. I don't know if I'm right but it would be so twisted and cool if I was correct.

I will sorely miss BSG. I loved them all.

It was a great ride though. smile.gif

All we have to look forward to is the 2 hour event called The Plan and the mini series, Caprica, now.
