Again; relative thoughts. Once I've learned a few basic surgeries and a few minor necessities, I could probably make my way through numerous other ones. I do this by taking what I learned from one surgery and applying it to all others; if it doesn't fit, I learn the tidbit I'm missing.
I don't need to know the name of something in order to know how it works.
Does THAT make sense?
Edit: And yes, mostly the use of technical terms. That's one huge part of it.
Edit2: What would be the term for "technical terms" when applied to math? Because a lot of the advanced formulas could be written down with a few basic changes to make sense to anybody, or, you could apply the formula to a situation and I could solve it.
Like the whole thing about logic problems/puzzles versus math problems.

Edit: Also, Sub, you missed the part where I said I'm already aware of numerous things in and about the human body. You can learn a good portion of that with self-observation, and a few books from the library with one or two pictures. I knew most of the shit before I even took a class on it.
I knew all about sexual organs when I was, like, six, for example. Though I thought dude's parts were gross so I avoided learning more than necessary about them. Still do.

Well yeah, but still, you pick up things here and there and I already know a lot about the human body, so whileas I think I could get sued for attempting to do surgery on some guy, I could get commended for being "that chick" in the grocery store robbery who patched up "that guy" who got shot in the foot/leg/arm/shoulder/whatever. Partially because I'm hypocritical and partially because I don't know how. Erm... it's like... I'm in my own little world where things make sense, and I don't understand why things have to be overtly complicated, and I'm really just saying the same things over again.

To me, it's not a matter of not accepting how they think so much as a matter of me seeing things in what appears to be, to me, crystal clear definition and being annoyed when other people aren't on the same wavelength. And yes, I can also see the many flaws in that way of thinking, but, I'm happy being angry.

OH! Since our tub isn't working and my cat hasn't had a bath in forever I decided to take him in the (rather enclosed) shower with me. Just as a reference, I'm like 5'4'' and my cat's front paws, when he's stood up straight, reach around my ribcage. He weighs 30 lbs. His claws are around half an inch long.
Furthermore, I'm used to scalding showers, and this one was cold in comparison... XD
But yeah. Picture that.
Edit: If I were normal, I'd let him be, but he picks up all kinds of pollin, most of which I appear to be allergic to, and even licking himself doesn't do the trick completely. A majority of the things I'm allergic to are in Louisiana. As Veni-dear would put it... :<

On a more serious note, that is a rather weird thought, but it reminds me of a shower scene from something else recently... they were clouded by fog from the stomach down & there was like a kid or something showering with them... might have been some weird dream, guh.
My weirdest shower is probably when the shower kept randomly turning on & off. Hot water to no water, I investigate & then it's freezing cold, o scalding hot & back down again... eurgh ><; Worst 30 minutes of my life.

Humm... honestly, the only thing I can think of except for this kitty one would be the one I had while at PCA... was at a college campus... so the showers were like...yeah... they were usually cold, too. This one time this girl actually forgot her towel and I had to go get it for her. XD I still don't see what was so nice about that, though, I mean it's not like it was skin off my back... and it would have sucked if that were me... so yeah, you win there. Never had anything like that happen.

Feh, they were separated with stalls. It wasn't like I had anything to be prudish about. I'm just not used to showering in public places; I felt open, and it was awkward and uncomfortable. I'm a naturally private person and showers are my time to relax...in private. Alone. Preferably in darkness. Taking a shower is the only time I can actually just, you know, relax. Plus, it was in a new place that I didn't entirely know, so I was paranoid to boot. It wasn't a matter of showering with other people (and yes, it does conserve water; so does doing your, ah, business beforehand -wink-) so much as showering in the open in a new place...with cold water. Whether or not there were other naked and wet people there didn't really matter, though it might have given me a pleasant distraction... humm.
And yes. He does like me more than the others. I am also very small, and he has very large and sharp claws. He knows this, and knows what would happen if he sliced and diced in the wrong area. Because I'm bigger and stronger than him and he doesn't exactly know judo, he can't get away without hurting me, possibly fatally. That, and he knows I'm not doing it to hurt him, and that I'm even going out of my way to make sure he's as comfortable as the situation allows, so why bother? Best to just sit through it and get clean.
