As I write this, Becker is unloading 6 full palettes of LFG Volume 2, with no help from anyone else in this office, I might add. Lar is driving into town tonight, and the two of us will spend the next few days signing like the madmen we are, with orders beginning to ship tomorrow.

For any of you who were waiting until we got the book in stock before we ordered, let it be known that Volume 2 is in stock. Pick up your copy today.

In the meantime, wish us luck in avoiding Carpal tunnel.

Since it's on sale in the shop, I'd say those six pallettes are not all preorders. It's pretty safe to say they'll have some of everything with them at the con, plus a few things you can't get in the store (the new motivational poster).

Yea! I've been looking forward to this post for weeks! Looking forward to re-reading these and enjoying them just as much as I did when they were posted!

YAY!!
You just made my day. And well most everyday, actually. But still.

*does some mental math* I'll be getting mine in early April then.

EDIT: That was fast. Its here already. Niot that I'm complaining.

Got my issue in the mail today. While I am wonderfully pleased with the quality of the book itself, I find myself extremely disappointed.

Why?

I pre-ordered my issue so that I could have it signed by the creative team. I look inside my front cover, and plainly see Lar's signature. But what about Ryan Sohmer, you ask? Well, in my opinion it looks like someone gave a small baby a marker, and let him scribble a squiggle. Not even a slight resemblance of an R or an S to signify his name.

A squiggle.

And so I say: Let down again by Mr. Sohmer. Becoming a trend, that I dislike

Same as I said last time the books were signed:

They have a thousand books to sign, in a very short amount of time. After the first hundred signings or so, you kinda go numb.

Good: Received the notification, that my copy has been send.

Bad: I will have to wait for weeks for it to ship to Germany sad.gif

I Received my copy of the book in the mail yesterday!
TrekNoid
Book received! I own them both, now smile.gif

I just wanted to express my amazement that the book is so currently up-to-date... a lot of comic compilations are stuff that's months old. I was shocked that there's only been 9 pages published online since the end of the printed book.

Nice work!
Devin Austra
True, but remember it only updates twice a week.

Received mine today.
I like my postal worker. She does the "Shave and a haircut" knock whenever she's delivering something she knows I'm going to like (like books). cool.gif

Devin, while I understand the whole weariness/lethargy factor in signing hundreds of books, It still does not account for a scribble instead of initials at least. I would be fine with initials.

another possibility of the squiggle in my book is that it was a test to see if the marker was even working...which still leaves no signature from the writer himself.

I got my book today, looks great. Had One thing I wanted to ask anyone. I got the signatures, since I pre-ordered, but I don't see the "extra" piece of art from Lars. Is in bound in the book, or a separate piece on heavier stock paper?

I was wondering the same thing, myself. Well, actually, I came looking to find the post that mentioned getting a bonus "something" with the pre-orders, it's been a while and I couldn't exactly remember what it was meant to be!

This year, we'll be signing the first 3,000 copies sold. Thusly, if you'd like a signed copy, I'd suggest you order it right about now-ish. Also, note that only pre-orders will come with an extra piece of art, courtesy of Mr. deSouza.

From the sound of it, there was supposed to be something put in the box with the book if you preordered. If it were part of the book itself, everyone would get it, not just those who preordered.

I think they forgot. I preordered and didn't get anything extra.
Paper_Dick
No extra art for me either...but I did get the issue about the squiggle solved.

Seems that Mr. Ryan Sohmer even signed his house mortgage with a squiggle. Scientists are hard at work to determine if it is just a mental block, or a physical inabilty of his to form letters in cursive
Furflu
Im gonna buy mine at end of may or like that... thats my birthsday biggrin.gif
