Full Version: Is the comic changing over time?

In comics that have many issues and last long usually some ongoing changes may be noticed.
Sometimes authors seem bored with their work, sometimes they have no new ideas and the story repeats itself or becomes so complicated that in fact no logical ending is ever coming.

What about LFG?

I want to show how Lar's style has improved.
Usually, the artist gets better over time and in LFG we can observe this as well:

Also, notice changes in idea of Dick's outfit: red detail on the belt disappeared, the shoulder plates are longer.

Everyone get's better at what they do the more they do it.
And I don't think LFG is actually getting that complex. I think your just noticing character development. Good points though...
Rip Van Ishmael
He also changes his socks frequently.
Gingerplague
what? you want Richard to wear old smelly socks?

Well, as far as we know he shouldn't really perspire, so unless he makes it a habit of trudging through manure...

That's not necessarily true. I've come across enough shows, authors etc that just got worse and worse.
LFG, on the other hand, has IMHO really improved, and not only concerning the drawing but also developing some deepness in the story.

well by your logic I can say that as far as we know he dosen't bath, add the fact he's basicly a walking corpse and you tell me that those socks wouldn't smell if he didn't change them.
Rip Van Ishmael
I dunno, if he smelt of rotting flesh, I think the people around him would have indicated it by now.
The Bunny
Probably the sheer force running through his body prevents it from really decaying in any way. Maggots would probably get fwoomed... ^^
Kerrah
Richard smells of cinnamon, flowers and honey. Everyone knows that!

Is it possible that we are going a tiny bit OT here? blink.gif
Maybe someone should open a "scent of the characters" thread or something...
Kayhynn
Yup. Totally off topic now. Thus closed.

Those of you that are responsible, consider this a warning. taking topics off topic in the Comic forum is a no-no.
