I’m departing early tomorrow morning for Orlando, Florida with my wife to enjoy a couple of days at Disney World (MICKEY!) before attending MegaCon this weekend.

We’ll be joined by Lar and Becker, where we’ll be exhibiting at Booth #713 for the duration of the show. We’ll have plenty of stuff on hand, including figurines and plushies, and are always more than happy to chat or sign whatever you like.

If you’re in the area, please do come.
MegaCon 2009, February 27- March 1st.

Wish I could go, but I work in Disney World (every day but Mondays and Tuesdays, unfortunately). If you're actually going to the parks, I suggest stopping by Animal Kingdom and eating at the Yak & Yeti restaurant. Ask for Gracie if you go there!

You should totally go to Sea World while you're down here! I think it's the best park in Florida, and that's not just cause I work there. smile.gif I will be taking the weekend off to go to the con as well, and I'm looking forward to meeting you.-->Candy

Quick question, I've never been to a -Con dry.gif and I'm curious is it worth it? I mean I want to go for the simple fact that I'm dying to get some LFG and LICD stuff, but it seems to me like I'll have to pay for gas for the drive up from Miami, plus an entrance, plus I wouldn't go alone so that means more $ for the food and possibly the hotel. Aside from all that the whole point of me going is to buy merchandise, so my question is, is the experience enough to justify the expense or should I save the traveling expenses and just that money to buy more merchandise online?

Bare in mind that while my main goal would be to catch a glimpse of Sohmer and get him to sign stuff, I would also enjoy meeting Tricia Helfer which I hear will be there... and buying some stuff from that, but having never been to one I'm wondering if its family friendly, if I should take a sword or bludgeoning stick, and just how much swag can one pick up there that is more TV show related then comic related. I mean LFG and LICD are the only comics I would buy stuff from, I'm not really into marvel or anything so I'm wondering if I go how much should my budget for swag be? laugh.gif sorry for the long detailed questions, any help is appreciated.

I was planning on going to the Florida Con this year (I'm in Ft. Lauderdale) but my car is broken and it'll cost me 200 + $ to fix.

It's fine driving around town broken as it is, but I don't know if she'll make the trip:(
