it wont let me upload ANY avatars from my computer, they are all routine size or under and are all under 50kb WTF is wrong help me please.

Without more details, it's kind of hard to pin down the problem.
You said you tried to upload it from your computer...have you tried hosting it somewhere, then linking to the avatar instead? That's what I do.

He's not the only one telling me this. I've received a PM on it too.

I went back and tried to save a personal statement again. When I clicked save, it didn't save anything and sent me straight to the board index.
I haven't been able to set a personal statement since signing up here over a year ago.

I blame Skynet.

I had trouble a few days ago as well.

and that happens for every file, i did upload ones that were listed as ok as well

The server hates us all

It keeps telling me topics have new posts, yet they don't. Even if I'm the last person to post in the topic and I use the "Mark forum as read" option at the top of the topic list, it still shows that topic as having new posts.
I just posted in the "LFG timeline" topic on the comic forum, and it won't mark the topic as read.

If someone is willing to let me try, you can PM me with your information and the URL of the pic you want to upload. I'll try to upload it to your profile on my end.

I'm getting the same error, I hosted my avatar on my site, it wouldn't load that picture, nor would it take any of the accepted files. When I hosted it, it acknowledged the upload, but said it was an offsite avatar, with the correct size, but wouldn't show it. The error is as follows when uploading from my machine:



If we could resolve this ASAP that'd be great.

PS: Codester, check the sig rules, your's is way too huge. Adjust or carebears of death will appear as your sig

Possible solution for avatars (for the time being):

I noticed on the DC forums that users there are also having trouble uploading avatars. One of them said the forum doesn't seem to like ImageShack and other hosting sites for some reason, and to try Photobucket, which I use for mine.

what about uploading straight from computer cause thats what im trying to do

I was having the same problem, but I uploaded my avatar to photobucket and had no other problems.

I haven't heard anything on this yet. I will inquire again.

Folks, Kayhynn has made it clear it's a subject in the works. Bumping the subject is one thing, but stating a fact that has been stated multiple times just causes irritation to our friendly moderators.

Yeah, it just won't upload directly from your computer. It still works fine through the off site linking method.

This issue should be resolved now. Please let us know if it isn't.
